A loud, piercing scream resonated through Doomsboy's ears, making him regret his advanced hearing even if shortly afterwards his body adapted to it as he looked down at the source. "EEEEEEEEEEW! He's all big and gray and spiky!" A little girl screamed as she clung to her mom. Doomsboy let out a sneer. "Beat it kid. Though your mom on the other hand...she can stay...so, how you doin?" Doomsboy said with a sly smirk that only got a slap in reply as the mother took her chile away from the "hero". "Call me back when you get a sitter!" Doomsboy yelled back at her, fairly amusing himself.

"Hey, aren't you that gray guy from the Outsiders?" A female voice said behind Doomsboy causing him to turn around. "Doomsboy at your service and just who would you-...? Wow...nice outfit." The woman was garbed in revealing leather and with her complexion, pupil-less eyes, and fangs had at least the appearance of a gothic vampire. "Let me guess, you're either a super villainess whose about to attack me...or you're the girl of my dreams." Doomsboy cracked before getting launched into the air as the ground beneath him turned into a fist which shot freezing water at him. "*sigh* Why's it always the first one?" Reaching for his communicator Doomsboy dodged what looked like an electric blast. "Hey guys, you'll never guess what I found. Can I keep her?" Doomsboy joked as he turned to communicator to show the woman's display of power to whoever was on monitor duty at Outsiders HQ.

Captain Boomerang was sorting things out on the Outsider's computer "Whatever Harper did, keep up the work!" he thought he then heard a beeping and said "Boomerang here. "Hey guys, you'll never guess what I found. Can I keep her?" Mercer looked at the girl and said "Calm her down and bring her to HQ" he then turned off comunications with Doomsboy and said with a smirk on his face "Thanks alot Harper."

Shockwave looked down at the address on the little slip of paper, then looked back up at the building, then back down at the piece of paper. She did this a good three times, thinking she had the wrong address. "But Oracle is never wrong. So why does this place fail to impress?" She went about trying to find an entrance or a doorbell or something. She didn't want to just barge in, though she could very well hop on any electric current, it would just be rude and they might shoot first ask questions later. So she continued to look for a more agreeable way in.

Boomerang sat bored stiff as usual after Doomsboy's message, nothing good was happening. "Someones trying to get in!" he thought and he ran to the door and saw a girl he then arm reached for a boomerang while he stared to say to her "This is Captain Boomerang, leader of the Outsiders, who're you?"

Shockwave stared wide eyed at the door that appeared out of nowhere and the man who was standing in it. "I'm Shockwave.....I come..in peace?" She threw her hands up in the air for added effect, not sure if he would attack at any sudden movements.

"But you might leave in pieces." A voice said behind Shockwave with the meta girl lying unconscious on his shoulder. Despite obviously knowing who Doomsboy was, and maybe even searching him out she was pretty easy to beat using Doomsboy's 'the same thing won't work twice' physiology. Though a huge, spiked, gray guy with a woman on his shoulder probably didn't give the best first impression, at least it was a semi accurate one.

Shockwave took in the newcomer's appearance, complete with unconscious girl tossed over his shoulder. His size was rather intimidating, but that didn't bother her so much as his greeting did. "Leave in pieces huh? Is that how you greet all your guests or just me?" She put her hands down and on her hips, cocking her eyebrows slightly. Sure the sweet and innocent thing could work sometimes, but right now did not look like one of them.

A swarm of bats flew towards Doomsboy and Shockwave, swirling around them before forming together. Nocturnal stood there infront of them smiling, "Play nice now children. Or you won't get any presents." He took a step closer, "Though it would seem you already have a new toy. Who is the unconcious woman on your shoulder?"

"No. I'm that way with everyone." Doomsboy said with a smile as he shifted the limp body on his shoulder. He looked like he was about to say something, most likely not something that would have shown him in a much better light than he'd already shown himself when Nocturnal showed up. "Define presents. And yeah, this little chickey randomly attacked me while I was walking down the street. Man, you should have been there. She was very...bouncy." Doomsboy then turned his attention back to Shockwave. "Speaking of which. Why are you here?"

"Oh you know, to join a superhero team, save the world from total destruction. The usual." she said nonchalantly. Shockwave then turned to Nocturnal, an intrigued look on her face. "Nice entrance. Very......Dracula. So, who do I talk to about joining?"

"You talk to me" Boomerang said unamused by being ignored " I told ya I was the leader anyway, what will you bring to the Outsiders?"

"Present: Something given, sort of. What do I look like? A dictionary." He smiled opening his bag, "Looky here, games consols, all new, some shiney, loads of games. Wonderful stuff." He looked at the newcomer, "Don't try to credit Dracula with that, he was a wimp with good PR, nothing more."

Shockwave thought for a moment, trying to answer Boomerang carefully. "Um.....a female presence? No, not enough. Okay, how about a new and interesting way to gather information? Only major events of course, I can't remember every itty bitty detail of the next 18 years," she shrugged, curious as to how that will effect their judgment. "Oh, and I've also had some training from Black Canary and Oracle."

"Well, I don't know about you but personally she had me at 'female presence'." Doomsboy said with a smirk looking at Shockwave and then again at the game systems. "How about we talk more about this inside. Not that I'd mind knocking this chick out again. Or I could just break through the door again..." Doomsboy started looking like he was seriously considering it before the door opened. "Party pooper."

Boomerang sighed as he went inside "Arsenal did say I would like these guys." he thought but then looked at Shockwave "Okay you're in."

"Yippee!" Shockwave clapped as she followed Boomerang and Doomsboy inside. "Soo, what kind of games are in there?" she asked, falling in step along side Doomsboy. "Its been a long time since I had some fun. Whatsay you hook that up and we have at it after all the formalities?"

Nocturnal shrugged, "I dunno, there's a lot of games in there. They belonged to and old friend." he smirked, "But he won't be needing them anymore." He started to chuckle before stopping himself, <coughs> "Never mind."

"Uh huh. If you say so." Shockwave shrugged. As she walked inside, she looked around, quite surprised by the size of the place. "This place is a lot bigger than the outside lets on. Where's all the high-tech stuff so I know where not to wander? I don't want to cause a total system crash if I get up and go looking for a midnight snack."

Boomerang looked at her and said "Well theres the compuiter room which you OBVIOUSLY can't go in, there should also be little compuitrers in thge training room so unless you have one of us in the room, I suggest you don't go in there."

Doomsboy returned sans unconscious girl with the others. "She's still out. What a lightweight. I didn't hit her that hard...the first time anyway. So...your name's Shockwave and you're worried about shorting out the system. Let me guess, you control fire right?" Doomsboy said, sticking his tongue out.

Shockwave just stuck her tongue out right back. Childish antics were not below her. "No you dunderhead, I emit and control electrostatic and electromagnetic waves. So watch out, or I just might shock ya!" Ignoring the stairs, she walked right up the wall and went to explore the upper levels. "The rooms are up here right?

"Sounds cool, go and blow the control room up. I wanna see if it does that cool Star Trek explosion." Nocturnal said nearly jumping at the idea. He looked around to check what everyone was wearing, "Don't worry, no-one's wearing a red top, we'll all live."

(I know Justin's having computer issues so I'm trying to stall a bit to give him time to get Plas in on the story. It'll pick up soon though.)

Doomsboy let out a smirk as he followed her, though he used the stairs. "You can shock me anytime you want. Believe me I can take it. And yup, the rooms are up there." Doomsboy said as he turned back to Nocturnal. "Star Trek explosion sounds good to me. Want me to do my Captain Kirk impression again?"

Boomerang looked at them and said "Before anyone does anything we need a few beers, does anyone want one? And what'll you have Shockwave?"

"Please God no Kirk impressions, I had enough of those to last me a life time." Shockwave shook her head and gave Doomsboy an annoyed look. As for what Boomerang asked, "No alcohol for me thanks. You don't want my inhibitions to be removed, trust me on that. My inhibitions are the only thing keeping you all from getting electricuted." With that she set off to find a room to claim her own.

"Huh, so what's a bit of electricity going to do? You're talking to a dead man here." Nocturnal replied casually before shuddering, "Oh man, just the thought of my heart beating. Not natural. I think I'll have that beer."

(lol That was an awesome episode.)

"Wonder what else happens when you lose your inhibitions... Besides if you shocked us all, I think Boomer'd be the only one to get it." Doomsboy said playfully sticking out his tongue as he smiled. "And a beating heart's not that bad...I think...not really sure if mine beats...it's not like I have any blood." Doomsboy got a slightly confused as he tried to figure it out. "Bah, I heard someone say beer. Now that's what I'm talkin' about."

"Oh you would just love to see me drunk wouldn't you?" Shockwave shot back at Doomsboy then actually stopped to think about it. "I guess I could have one drink, what else do you have besides beer?"

Nocturnal shook his head, looking confused, "Let's see, other than beer. Well, there's always whiskey..........or vodka!"

Shockwave's eyes lit up. "Did you say....vodka? Oh and don't look so confused, you said it yourself, 'What's a bit of electricity going to do? You're talking to a dead man here.' Besides, one drink won't hurt anybody, least of all you." She walked down the way she came, forgoing finding a room for something she hadn't had in a very long time; a good drink.

Doomsboy gave an almost devilish grin after the getting Shockwave drunk comment. His eye twitched slightly as Nocturnal said a particular word. "We have vodka? Why didn't anybody tell me this?" Doomsboy dashed off literally in a blur as he returned with a beer in one hand and a vodka bottle in the other.

Gotham City is quiet. That is... until Aztek comes soaring through the air. It is unknown to anyone, and especially Aztek himself, if he is conscious or not. The explosion* sent him soaring. It was no sort of ordinary explosion such as dynamite would cause. It had supernatural elements. The impact of his fall would hurt. That's all he knew. That's all that mattered.

Aztek didn't want to die again. He couldn't handle the darkness. Not for a second time. He mustered up enough energy to reach down by his side. He found his old JLA commlink and used it to dial Oracle, "Hey, it's Aztek... I could use some real help over here... I'm propelling in the air... I think I may die..."

"Aztek?! Uh... hold on, I'm patching someone through!" Oracle responded, through a frantic reply. This was an emergancy and Curt needed someone now or he may not live through this.

"... please... hurry..." Aztek murmered.

Oracle pressed a few buttons and patched through to the Outsiders base. "Roy?!? Roy, are you there?"

"Harper's not here right now, toots," A voice from the computer room said. "Can you leave a message?"

"Shut up, Owen! Get your team out right now! I need you to catch a falling hero!" Oracle retorted back.

"... thanks..." Aztek responded back.

"Just hold on, Curt. At the rate you're going, you have two minutes until impact. If these guys can't get you, I'll find someone more... capable."

As Boomerang came back from just being Verbally assulted from Oracle he said "We gotta save those for later, someone needs our help." he looked at Shockwave "You're getting your chance kid, don't mess up!" he said as he ran for the pequad.

"Wow, she seems in a good mood. I say we let him drop." Doomsboy said with a devious expression as everyone seemed to be going to the Pequod. "Well. Fine if we gotta. Goodbye Vodka...I miss you already...I shall return!"

"Don't worry Doomsboy, I'm sure the vodka is gonna miss you too. It'll miss me more, but who's counting." Shockwave smirked as she jogged to keep up with everyone else. "Soo, where are we going?"

"Boomerang looked at Shockwave as he got into the Pequod "We gotta save some guy that's falling near Gotham, shouldn't take long." he then strated the thrusters adn they flew off and shure enough, threy saw some guy about to hit pavement "Tis'll be rough hold on!!" he yelled as he thrusted them towards the guy.

"I could always jump out now and catch him...course it'd probably break him in half but the voice never said he had to be on one piece." Doomsboy said with a grin as he watched the body steadily falling from the window of the Pequod.

"Oh yeah, she never said anything about being in one piece, but ya know, I'd rather be safe than sorry. I could always hang off the outside and catch him. Static cling, it's a beautiful thing." Shockwave smirked, jumping into the Pequod and taking a seat near the back.

Once again Doomsboy's smile got a dark tinge. "That plan's cool by me, babe. You must have totally awesome uses for that power." He said as the plane made a swan dive steadily getting closer to the fallen hero.

"You know, I am capable of flight, unless, of course, you want to see the newbie here do her thing?" Nocturnal added. He looked out to see the man falling, "By the way, what the Hell is static cling? Sounds like some kind of cooking untensil."
