Heh... I'm not the biggest Justice League fan (What Identity Crisis did to the League kinda soured me on 'em), but there have been some really good two-parters on Boomerang lately. First, there was a two-parter with Eclipso being the Big Bad.... then a two-parter that pretty much encapsulated WHY the League is so screwed up (I mean, COME ON. Put Superman, Hawkgirl, and Flash in a situation together and there isn't a working brain COMBINED.) Plus side, it had the unusual alliance between Dr. Fate, Aquaman, and SOLOMON GRUNDY. Wooo! I mean, come on. If I could have any team-up, THOSE three were top on my list BEFORE I saw that.
On a Fate side-note, I love how they wrote him. Now THAT, is a spooky character. ::bat:: could take spooky lessons from Fate. *grins* Go Fate, Go Fate....! My favorite moment? RIGHT at the cliffhanger when the Big Bad shows up AFTER the aforementioned Three Stooges of the Justice League BATTER their way into a ritual Fate, Aquaman, and Grundy were attempting to perform... DEMANDING an explaination as if they were gods to be appeased. Fate just gave them a withering look, and indicated the Big Bad. "For starters, we were trying to prevent THAT." Priceless. :D :D :D :D
Last night, they had the first part of a 2-parter where Gorilla Grodd comes up with an Injustice League that actually WORKS TOGETHER better than the Justice League. Who would have thunk it? :D
Yeah, I just got done reading an interview with Bruce Timm and he said that teaming up Dr. Fate, Aquaman, and Solomon Grundy was his homage and dc version of 'The Defenders'
