Title: Summary: What's your fantasy

Basically Captain Boomerang's just starting to get used to being the new leader of the Outsiders when he gets a call from Doomsboy whose being attacked by a woman with elemental powers. Taking her out rather easily he brings her back to Outsiders HQ just in time to meet the newcomer, Shockwave whose shortly given membership into the team and seems to be getting along with the Outsiders so far.

As Shockwave gets her room and all, the Outsiders get a call from Oracle as Aztek who'd recently been blown up was in free fall and the Outsiders were the closest ones to keep him from becoming a shiny pancake. Putting the new member to the test, Shockwave easily helps to rescue Aztek and he decides to stay with the team a bit to recover. Meanwhile the woman who attacked Doomsboy is now awake and apparently waiting to spring a trap when she's questioned.

After the team gets back they began to question the mysterious woman who doesn't really respond until they threaten to leave her and Doomsboy locked in the cage alone for 10 minutes(I find it hilarious that all of the Outsiders seemed to be fine with that). After which she said she wanted to get caught and demonstrated why as she let out a blast of light which sent all of the Outsiders into a world where they're dreams were realized. Whether it be that dead friends and family were still there, certain biological factors weren't an issue or anymore...or that Superman was their bumbling sidekick.

The Outsiders continued to live through they're fantasies, though now some of them were beginning to realize that maybe everything isn't all well.

Eventually The Outsiders began to sense something was genuinely wrong and others seemed to be instinctively drawn to each other. Plastic Man was assigned to watch over Doomsboy while Captain Boomerang and Supergirl went to Doomsboy's house to talk about joining the JLA. And after Doomsboy realized that they were in a world where they were given anything to make them happy, he began to focus on his old friends, unconsciously manipulating the "Meet Doomsboy" contest so that the winners were Becca and Patrick aka Shockwave and Nocturnal.

With Becca and Patrick joining, the Outsiders were fully formed once again, though with some of them not even remembering being superheroes there was some confusion. Everyone began to get filled in on the fact that this world most likely wasn't the real one, leaving then the decision of whether to try to find a way out or be content...oh! And there were cheerleaders, topless cheerleaders.

Deciding that this was most likely a magical issue, Doomsboy unknowingly summoned John Constantine, who proved three things. One, this world was indeed not the real one. Two, this was centered around the Outsiders. And three, they couldn't stay in this fantasy reality or they're real bodies would starve to death. Helping them out, Constantine was able to get the Outsiders out of the fantasy reality where they immediately saw the woman responsible for the whole thing. Or was she? Turned out she was working for the adult clone of Klarion, who got rid of her soon after. How will the Outsiders fare against this witch man? And what are his true motives?

Claiming to be doing this sheerly out of 'fun', Klarion attacked the Outsiders, with everything from costume changes to tentacles coming out of the ground. Though he was trying his best not to use his magic directly on Doomsboy, when his containments weren't holding he decided to cloud Doomsboy's eyes into thinking Plastic Man was Klarion.

Due to both the swift thinking and magically changed outfit of Shockwave, Doomsboy was shaken out of the spell. Together the Outsiders were able to take out Klarion, seemingly ending the adventure if not for the new entrant of Dr. Sivana who claims to be the mastermind of the whole deal.

The Outsiders were not very happy with Sivana as a couple of it's members wanted to just kill him on the spot. Knowing he wasn't supposed to die yet Shockwave suggested listening to what he had to say. Which was basically that he'd already wiped a city in Australia of their memories, making them blank slates and wanted the Outsiders' help to do it to the whole world, ending crime as a whole and starting from scratch. He also pointed out that the reason he put them through seeing their fantasies was that he'd make them true as a thanks for helping them.
But the Outsiders didn't bite and soon found out that Sivana was never actually there...in the flesh anyway. But as he left, he left the device used to mindwipe Australia in the hands of the Outsiders to do with as they wanted and left his offer open.

Still reeling from the action, The Outsiders were left in the middle of the desert trying to find out where they were. Figuring out they were in the desert of Las Vegas, it was suggesting that they could sell the machine and use the money in the casinos. I swear if they actually do this, they'll officially be the most immoral superhero team ever lol.
Marx - December 20, 2007 05:16 AM (GMT)
Luckily Shockwave was able to convince the team out of selling the machine to villains or nations. Though they did seem rather keen on selling it to the good guys. Though Shockwave did take the key component out first. Though in the process of doing that she ended up naked and at the Outsiders' mercy of finding clothes. Doomsboy ended up not only getting something incredibly skimpy but something that would have conducted enough electricity to kill almost all of them, but luckily Constantine offered his coat as they all went off into the sunset...or into Vegas to use Shockwave's powers to cheat the casinos.
The End.
Woo!
