Abilities: Most of Cyborg’s abilities lie in his extreme intelligence and his cybernetic parts, both of which were given to him by his parent’s “treatments.” Because of these treatments Cyborg has attained Superhuman levels of strength, endurance, and durability. His left eye has also been replaced with a cybernetic sensor, which can be used for various feats, such as scanning and what not. While also healing his injuries by implementing metallic skin grafts, Vic’s father also gave him a wide array of weapons. His most common weapon of choice is the sonic disruptor, which comes from his right arm.

Weaknesses: Cyborg doesn’t have many real weaknesses. Neither psychological weaknesses (Like Martian’s fear of fire) nor physical weaknesses (like the Green Lantern’s and the color yellow). However, the simple fact that he is a half-machine entity could be a weakness as he is essentially a computer and any computer is susceptible to the right hacker.

History: Victor Stone was the only son of research scientists Silas and Elinore Stone. Surrounded by science, he was constantly being pushed to follow his parents’ footsteps, which Vic resented wholeheartedly. While experimenting on ways to increase a human’s IQ his parents decided to use him as their primary test subject, bestowing him with a great IQ. Elinore and Silas; however, were blinded by their sons need for a normal childhood and so it was no surprise when he began hanging around the wrong crowd, one of which was Ron Evers. He stuck with Ron merely because of his intense loneliness and lack of attention from his parents.

Thanks to his mother’s persuasion, Silas allowed his son to attend public school, where Vic’s life began to change for the better. He showed great athletic promise and began to make many friends. He met his first girlfriend, Mary Reynolds (who would later leave him because of his new look), and began to train hard in hopes of joining the Olympics, yet Silas was angered by his son’s abandoning the sciences. These feelings are what would later intensify the rift that began to grow between father and son.

One day while visiting his parents at S.T.A.R. Labs, Vic was caught up in a couple of his parents’ projects. They were studying inter-dimensional travel and the development of cybernetic parts. While observing the other dimension, Silas accidentally let loose a creature, which slaughtered his wife and severely injured his son. Determined and desperate, Silas used the cybernetic parts on his son to rebuild Vic’s body. Vic survived and Cyborg was born.

However, borne of the creation of Cyborg as well, was Vic’s hatred, which ultimately led to Silas and Vic’s falling out and Vic’s moving to Hell’s Kitchen. It is here where Raven found him and the New Teen Titans were born. Silas, now grateful of Vic’s new friends built Titans Tower in honor of his son and the young Titans. Several months later, though, Silas died of radiation poisoning, during these months Silas and Vic were never closer.

While on the Titans, Cyborg forged a close friendship with Garfield Logan (the shape-shifter) and Sarah Simms, who worked with the handicapped, both of whom helped him forge his new identity as a hero. Simms and Vic would remain close friends, but a romantic relationship wouldn’t transpire. However, over the years, there have been a few attempts at upgrading the half-man, it was during one of these meetings that Vic met Dr. Sarah Charles and an instant romance began. Yet soon Sarah received a job offer in S.T.A.R. Labs’ West Coast branch, she took the offer, but it put a strain on hers and Vic’s relationship.

It was also around this time that Vic’s grandparents re-entered his life. There was some immediate resentment between them, but soon his grandparents became a strong, supportive element in his life.

Shortly after this, many members, current and former (Cyborg included), were hunted down by the Wildebeest Society. Deathstroke, Nightwing, Troia, Pantha, Phantasm, and Arella joined forces to track them down. Upon locating the captured Titans, the heroes were shocked to find out that the mastermind behind the Society was none other then their own teammate, Jericho! During the conflict, a rocket containing Victor was launched, and it crash landed in Russia.

The remaining Titans tracked down the rocket and found their ally, Red Star (a Russian hero). It seems Victor was badly damaged during the crash; a group of scientists did their best in repairing him, but his mind was lost. Cyborg was built a bulkier body with enhanced abilities, but he was effectively a brain-dead storm trooper. The Titans brought their friend back to the U.S. in an attempt to find the cure and to save their other friends from the Wildebeest Society. However, in the end, after defeating the Society, they were still unable to bring back their old friend and mentor.

Later, the Titans encountered a race called the Technis – cyber-alien hybrids that explored and cataloged data throughout the galaxy. The people of Technis were dying and in need of a soul to survive. Victor Stone elected to be their savior , so he merged his consciousness with the Technis, giving him a new body and name: Cyberion. Some time later, Cyberion was reunited with his former friends and engaged in an interstellar conflict, which resulted in the destruction of Tamaran. Throughout all of the heartbreak and tragedy; however, Raven was reborn in golden spirit form.

After the battle, Raven, Minion and Garfield elected to remain in space with their former teammate Cyborg, then known and Cyberion. Frightened by his total embrace of technology, Gar was forced to return to Earth. Much in the same respect, Minion decided to leave the small group as well. Not before leaving Cyberion the Omegadrome suit. The suit allowed Victor to carry out his Technis Imperative: To recreate the planet Technis at all costs!

Having collected a planet-size assortment of technological debris, Cyberion traveled to Earth to turn the moon into a brand new Technis world, populated with the Titans allies. The JLA and Titans eventually joined together, after quite a bit of initial resentment, to prevent Cyberion from destroying the planet while still saving Vic’s soul by “downloading” it into the Omegadrome suit.

The original five then decided to re-form the Titans. Vic was asked to rejoin the team, but his time was fraught with bad luck. His former girlfriend, Dr. Sarah Charles was in another relationship. During a battle with H.I.V.E., Vic was offered a new human body if he were to acquire the immortal blood of Addie Kane, yet Starfire destroyed Addie’s body before Vic could make his choice. And Vic had no choice in remaining with the team, as the JLA only trusted Vic so long as the Titans watched him.

Feeling like he owed his long time friend a debt, Dick Grayson worked feverishly to find a cure for Vic’s condition. With Jesse Quick’s help, they were successful. Victor as given a new lease on life with an organic body cloned from cell samples harvested by the Russian scientists who spared him.

Feeling like he owed his old friend a debt, Dick Grayson worked feverishly to find a cure for Vic's condition. With Jesse Quick's help, his idea was successful. Victor was given a new lease on organic life with a body cloned from cell samples harvested by the Russian scientists who once spared him. For the first time in years, Cyborg new what it was like to live a real life, unaided by mechanized parts. Embarking on a new life, Victor Stone left the Titans for a new adventure in the west.

Vic Stone later aided the Flash during a crisis. During this time he was using the golden Omegadrome suit to morph into a cybernetic form. He decided after it all to return to adventuring while residing in Keystone city. But when Victor linked with the computerized Thinker in an attempt to stop him, his body became mechanically paralyzed – reverting him back to his Cyborg form.

Shortly after his reawakening, a mysterious android from the future known as Indigo attacked the Titans and Young Justice, resulting in the deaths of Troia and Omen. At Troia’s funeral, Nightwing disbanded the Titans, while in the same instance the Young Justice cast off their old identities to become the newest version of the Teen Titans. Under the tutelage of Cyborg and the other older Titans the team resumes its work in Titans Tower.
