Title: The Batmobile.
Description: Take ur own conclusions.
Fan Boy - March 31, 2004 04:51 PM (GMT)
This is the Batmobile from "Batman Begins" the new Batman movie.

Looks a bit like a monster truck, doesn't it??
Falcon - March 31, 2004 05:51 PM (GMT)
O.O Nooooot very aerodynamic, is it?
Robin - March 31, 2004 06:23 PM (GMT)
Yeesh.... Not exactly what I was expecting...
True Believer - March 31, 2004 06:46 PM (GMT)
It's supposed to be a military prototype that Wayne Tech Built but never used. Bruce finds, and modifies a little bit and voilá, we have a but-ugly Batmobile.
deathfromwithin - March 31, 2004 08:36 PM (GMT)
Robin - March 31, 2004 08:44 PM (GMT)
That does not bode well for the rest of the movie...
I pray the bat-costume looks half-way decent...
Jakazul - March 31, 2004 09:08 PM (GMT)
Looking back on the costumes from the last movies... Crap, please tell me the special FX are gonna be good atleast?
Ya know tho, if they were doing a movie of No Man's Land, that batmobile could be kinda cool... In fact, I could probably even stand the costumes since they might need rubber... 'Course the rubber nipples would still be a no...
Robin - March 31, 2004 09:23 PM (GMT)
Agreed. The first two Batman costumes from the first two movies were cool. I wasn't completely sure about the all Black thing, but they were cool.
Then came the nipples... And thus began the end of the series... <_<
Falcon - April 1, 2004 03:04 AM (GMT)
Noooo!!! Please don't let there be rubber nipples!
That was~Shiver~ Disturbing in the other movies.
Yes, it WOULD be cool if it was NML, but a city street in a normal non banned city doesn't really call for that kind of car.
But.....you know, a No Mans Land movie WOULD be really cool...
Jakazul - April 1, 2004 03:52 AM (GMT)
Yeah it would. Especially since it would have so many awesome villains in it and they'd HAVE to make a good costume...Hopefully one without nipples.
Falcon - April 1, 2004 04:15 AM (GMT)
Amen to that!
And there would HAVE to be a good batgirl, Barbara, Robin, ect.....Instead of Robin being a twenty someting year old and Batgirl being blond and Alfred being her uncle....
....
Only Shmaucker knows how to mess up continuity so bad.
Jakazul - April 1, 2004 04:16 PM (GMT)
No kidding! I haven't read NML in a while *I own the book, but not the graphic novel...yet...*, but wasn't it where they introduced Cassandra Cain as a young teenager? 'Cause that'd be cool as a movie alone actually.
And yeah, the blonde, related BG ticked me off too.
And, just for the record, I WANT THEM TO HAVE GOOD OLD KEVLAR-LINED, THREE-COLORED, NIPPLESS FABRIC COSTUMES!
Next thing ya know they're gonna give Bruce Wayne a beard or something.
True Believer - April 1, 2004 04:41 PM (GMT)
Actually Bruce will have a beard. :P In the beginning of the movie they'll show him travelling throught the world to train and stuff, and he'll have a huge beard.
Jakazul - April 1, 2004 10:17 PM (GMT)
Falcon - April 1, 2004 10:41 PM (GMT)
Excuse me....I'm going to go torture the movie writers now till they write the movie CORRECTLY.~Gets up from chair with staple gun and goes in search of movie writters....who are hidding in the closet....~
Jakazul - April 2, 2004 02:56 AM (GMT)
Robin - April 2, 2004 03:12 AM (GMT)
*Get's staple remover to take out staples so Falcon can staple them twice and hot glue gun to seal every opening on their body*
I'm with Falcon on this.
THEY MUST SUFFER FOR THEIR STUPIDITY!
Falcon - April 2, 2004 04:20 AM (GMT)
Ohhh writterrrrs. Come out comeout where ever you are! ~Rach and Alan snoop around for batman writers.~
This is just terrible. Shmuackers remake of Batman was like when they tried to do Shakespears 'Romeo and Juliet' in modern times with Leonadi DeCaprieo.......I mean, c'mon: A cross dressing mercutio?
We HAVE to make sure these new writers don't mess up the new movie....maybe we could torture and kidnap em' and WE can get assigned as the new writers.
~The writes whimper in the closet where they're hiding~
Wait...~Stops~ Did I just feel someone....whimper? ~Gets staple gun ready.~
Robin - April 2, 2004 04:33 AM (GMT)
I swear, if they botch up this movie they will sufffer my squierly wraith!
(Elmer Fudd voice) Be vewy vewy qwuite... We're hunting bat-witters.... huhuhuh...
Marx - April 2, 2004 05:08 AM (GMT)
....You guys are torturing people without me? I'm hurt, very hurt. And just after I added you to the Royal Cram-ily too, Rach.
Jakazul - April 2, 2004 05:15 AM (GMT)
Bat-writers? More like BAD writers. They don't deserve to have the title of the royal Bat-clan.
*Weilds the all-new weildable pronator deluxe model, flips switch on side to "Gruesome Torture"*
It's party time!
True Believer - April 2, 2004 01:00 PM (GMT)
Like I said Alan yesterday, Bruce won't be bearded throught the whole movie. Here'x what happens, SOME SPOILERS BELOW:
This is kinda BATMAN: YEAR ONE. Unlike the the first (Tim Burton's) Batman, we won't begin with Bruce as Batman already. We won't see Batman until like 40 Min into the film. In the begining they'll show Bruce travelling throught the world training with several martial artists, which is awesome.
As u can tell by the movie's name, "BATMAN BEGINS", they show the origin of the character. And as far as I can tell they're doing correctly. Bruce will only be bearded in the above mentioned sequences because he'll be spending some time in the woods with this guy, Henry Ducard, tranining some sort of Martial Art.
The writer of this movie is David Goyer, responsible for the "Blade" franchise, and the the director is Chris Nolan (MEMENTO & INSOMNIA!!!!). So I for one am willing to give this movie a chance, inspite of the Batmobile and everything. The cast is insanely good.
Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne is the best choice for a comic book since Chris Reeves and Tom Welling as Clark Kent. I'm not even mentioning peope like Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Michael Caine, Cilian Murphy and etc. This movie will rock. Trust me. :P
And IMHO opinion Baz Lurhman's "Romeo + Juliet" is one of the most importants films of the 90's and one of the few (AND I MEAN FEW) Shakespeare's adaptations that are worth seeing (Mel Gibson's Hamlet, anyone? Anyone??). Certainly is WAY, WAY, WAAAAAAAY better than Franco Zefirelli's. The editing of that movie is just UNBELIEVABLE! Not to mention the perfomances, Baz even manage to make John Leguizamo look like a real actor. And that's saying something.
Robin - April 2, 2004 05:32 PM (GMT)
Hmmm..... Me thinks Fab protests too much....
Fab seems a bit overly... protective of this movie. I don't recall him ever lecturing us before... Wait a minute... *Holds up hot glue gun*
Fab is working for the bad comic-movie writers!!! Get him!!! Don't let him escape!!!!
****Once we have Fab held down to a chair with staples and hot glue****
Fab, we aren't saying the new Batman movie will be bad. We're saying we HOPE the movie won't be bad. I mean, seriously. No matter how good a cast, director, script, (etc...) can be, the movie can still be a piece of crud.
How many times as a comic to movie adaptation been crap?
Let's review shall we...?
Batman movies: The first two by Tim Burton were great. They were true to the dark, brooding badass that is the Batman. The cast was dead on, and the writing was solid. Then Schumacker took over. People thought his interpretation might be pretty good. No it wasn't. The writing/story sucked, the directing was crap, the cast was sub-par. And it killed the franchise for a long number of years.
Superman movie: The first movie was great. The cast was perfect, the story was true and the action was intense. But even though the cast and crew returned to make three more films they got worse. The stories became preachy, dull and repetative.
X-Men Movie: Only comic-to-movie franchise that is still going strong and seriously rocks. No complaints whatsoever. May the X-Men live long!
Spider-Man Movie: Same as X-Men. So far... Let's see what Spidey2 is like.
Blade: First movie was intersting, exciting and well written and performed. Sequel though the good cast and crew returned was long, with pointless fight scenes, no story, badly written and just plain crapy.
Hulk: Just plain crap. The casting looked decent at first, the concept seemed sound. But it was crap.
Need I go on?
The new Batman movie MIGHT be good. It MIGHT be crap. NONE of us will know for certain until we actually SEE the film.
We don't know nothing but hear-say. The casting can be perfect in theory, and the story and directing could be great.
It could still turn out to be the biggest bomb since the Hulk.
And I'm still not convinced that Christian Bale is perfect for Batman until I see him in action. Same goes for the rest. They could all look good, but turn out to bring the movie down.
Scott Bana (or whatever his name was) was supposed to be perfect for Bruce Banner in the Hulk, and look how that piece of crap turned out....
But I am not going to say Batman Beginings will be an awsome or crappy movie until I see it, cause I don't want to be disapointed. After what happened to the last Batman-movie franchise I am weary of anything and everything they do.
If they ruin this movie like they did the last two Bat-flicks. They will pay. They will suffer my squirely wraith for YOUR LORD AND MASTER: FOAMY commands it!!!
Marx - April 3, 2004 05:19 PM (GMT)
Heeey, I liked Batman Forever. You just have to turn of your continuity radar. The thing'll be going off the entire movie. It bugs people, they'll kick you out of the theatre. Also, it has the coolest looking Batmobile out of all 4 movie. *side note: I didn't mention Batman and Robin, can't defend that one*
And as for Blade 2, I liked that also. IT HAD VAMPIRE NINJAS! EVERYTHING'S BETTER WITH NINJAS! :ph43r: I will admit the fight scenes were a bit too long though.
And finally Hulk...haven't seen it yet. I've yet to hear a single good thing about it, that movie scares me. *sees a copy of Hulk in the trash* GET BACK OH SPAWN OF SATAN! *pulls out my flamethrower and torches it*
Jakazul - April 3, 2004 05:27 PM (GMT)
LMAO The sad part is... that's all true in my opinion... I haven't seen Blade or Hulk, but I hear Hulk sucked...BAD....
BTW, nobody reviewed Daredevil!!!!
Marx - April 3, 2004 06:00 PM (GMT)
DAREDEVIL! How could I forget about that, I've heard bad things about that too. But I loved that movie, I actually paid for it. Bullseye was great, and to my knowledge, they stayed pretty close to the continuity. I hope they use the same Kingpin for whenever he's in Spiderman, think it would be wierd if he never made an appearance.
Jakazul - April 3, 2004 06:09 PM (GMT)
Me too. My two biggest complaints were: He saw in blue, but his color is red in the comics and Bullseye never got a costume! They even made a refference to it and he never got it! What's up with that?
