Title: The Odyssey of Teen Lantern
Description: Hope THIS doesn't take twenty years.

Jay yawned, letting the wrench slip from his fingers and clang against the other tools in his box.
"Another day, another invention i'll never market." He chuckled, looking at his watch. 4:57 AM. "And sadly, this is an early night for me." He sighed, looking at his new device.
It had all the appearance of a metallic ball, mostly hammered together from scraps he's obtained from the junkyard, then welded together with his ring, a coat of paint had been added for aesthetic reasons. There was a noticable crease if you looked on the correct side, apparently for a hatch.
"But still, i'd say building a matter transporter from spare parts is pretty impressive huh?" He asked.
"Of course, sir." He was answered by the metallic voice of his Robo Sapian butler, holding out for him a glass of cranberry juice and a pill next to it.
"Thanks." He nodded to the small robot before taking the pill with a drink of juice. He was feeling more invigorated all ready. 'God bless caffine pills.' He thought stretching.
Robo Sapian said nothing, turning on his legs to leave the room and attend to whatever other duties he still had to complete.
"Well, everything is over but the testing." He declared to the silent room, pressing in a few coordinates, only the next room really, he didn't want to do anything too energy consuming.
Another press of the button, and the hatch opened allowing the Green Lantern in training to step inside.
With the press of another button the systems began to glow.
Unfortunately, the happy grin was soon wiped from his face when he saw sparks leaping from the console. "Oh crap!" He yelled, grabbing a convenient fire extinguisher and trying to spray it as fire leapt from it.
In the end, after a rather overzealous attempt to fight the fire, he stumbled out of the hatch again.
"...Oooooh, i'm not in Dayton anymore..." He said, looking around himself, he and the ball were just on the outside of another city.
"'Welcome to San Francisco'?" He asked, a relieved grin on his face. "Well, at least I can get a lift home from the Titans..."

It didn't take long for Jay's relief to turn to even greater confusion. First, some people seemed kind of freaked out to see a glowing green man flying above their heads.
Not all that unusual, Jay had thought, seeing as most of the time a hero flying anywhere is usually a precurser to major property damage.
However, upon reaching his destination, his confusion had effectively tripled.
"The hell? Where's the tower!?" He demanded, standing on the small island in San Francisco bay where Titans Tower SHOULD have been standing. "This isn't good..." He groaned, shining his ring over the soil, looking for any hint of what had happened while contemplating possibilities.
'Shrink ray? Abducted by aliens? Relocated to someplace else?' He thought, the ideas becoming more ludicris the longer he thought, until his ring turned up no trace fo the tower. No residue from paint, metal, or generators, powerlines, anything. As far as he was getting, this island was only ever an island...
__Meanwhile, elsewhere___
"A UFO report?" The man sighed, rubbing his bald head and looking at the paper he'd been handed.
"Of a sort..." The attendent shrugged. "in actuallity, they claimed to see a glowing green man flying toward San Fancisco bay."
That seemed to get the bald man's attention, he sputtered a bit, spitting coffee on the report. "Great...just great." He mumbled.
"Should I send someone to investigate Captain?"
"Yes...send Taggart McStone, i'll see if I can get our other...specialists...involved."
"Of course." He said, walking out of the room.

Jay was pacing the island along it's coastline, still looking for any hint of what he knew should have been on the island, he'd effectively covered about half the total circumference seeing neither old parts, burned soil, or the statues that had stood in front of it.
"This is gonna be real embarrassing if I find out all this time i've been on the wrong island..." He mumbled. Besides that, he'd quickly discovered his T-Terminal wasn't functioning either.
"Oh? And what island are you looking for then?" He turned around at the voice, finding a man standing behind him, and his hopes of seeing another Titan were crushed, instead it was a dark haired man, a parachute trailing behind him as he stood, arms crossed wearing a blue jumpsuit.

"I was looking for Titan's Island." Jay commented, not very surprised by the arrival of this man. After all, when you try to make a living as a superhero the strange and unusual are fairly common occurances.
"'Titan's Island?'" The man asked raising an eyebrow. "Just what is that?"
"You know, where the Tower is. Headquarters of the Teen Titans. City of San Fancisco paid to have it constructed, in return we help deal with the criminals found therein?" He specified bits of the island's history too the man.
"What are you talking about kid?" He demanded eyeing Jay as though he was slightly crazy.
"Oh come on, you know, The Teen Titans, with me, Harm, Wondergirl, Ravager, Static and so on and so forth?"
"I think you should come with me."
"Uh...where too?"
"Just come with me." He repeated.

Seeing little else he could do, Jay ended up following the man to another point on the island to be picked up by a helicopter nearby. It bore few distinguishable markings, but the jet black exterior gave the impression it was government property.
"Spiffy..." Jay commented, trying to keep calm and assess the information he had found.
1. He was in the custody of the Government.
2. Titan's Tower was missing.
3. The man he was speaking to had no idea WHO the Teen Titan's were.
Added up, this could mean several things, and as the Helicopter ride continued, he attempted to figure out which of them...
Unfortunately, he would have little time to do so in, as the vehicle finally landed upon a building.
"Out." The agent told him. Not wishing to rock the boat, Jay complied and was slowly ushered further into the recesses of the building. At first it had the bland appearance of an office building, but as he went deeper, several stories below where the building should actually have ended, he instead found himself entering the sterile metal confines of a large base.
"Well...this is pleasant." He sighed.

Jay had been kept in a holding area for, by his estimate, around two hours before he saw anyone else. Already he'd paced the room several times, checking the material the walls were constructed of. If nothing else he was certain he could, if he really wished to, escape by force. So far, the only thing that had kept him from doing so was his own curiosity however. That and as far as he knew there was no place for him to go.
The featureless room lacked even chairs or a table, leaving Jay surrounded by cold sterile metal.
Finally though, one of his captors decided to pay him a visit. A tall man, dressed in a red shirt, tan pants, and a black trenchcoat, he was bald aside from his red eyebrows, as well as sporting green eyes.
"We're going to have a little talk." He said simply.
"Well, i'd say i'm not really in a position to argue..." He shrugged, leaning against the wall. "So, where do we start this little talk?"
"Who are you, first of all." He demanded.
"Ah...that's a simple question. I'm the Teen Lantern." He shrugged. "Maybe you've seen me on television?"
"Afraid not." The bald man responded simply, stroking his chin as he observed the Titan.
"....Figures." He sighed. "Okay, well, i'm...sort of a...superhero...I guess is the term." The young hero seemed nervous as he saw his interviewer's skeptical expression.
