Title: Old Friends.............
Description: Some old friends have come for a visit
Shinigami - May 9, 2004 10:31 PM (GMT)
Duo Merquise has been having trouble-sleeping. Solution? Late night flights across the city, anything to exhaust herself enough to ensure an undisturbed night’s sleep.
Except for one night when an old friend from hell comes to pay her a visit, intent of returning her to her former glory, the true essence of Shinigami. She receives a vicious beating from the demon that persuaded Satan to take her on in their ranks, leaving her bleeding and helpless. Taking advantaged of her disorientated state Vittorio kisses Shinigami, force-feeding her part of his essence, igniting her hunger and she begins to devour his soul. With the last of her will power she mentally calls for help…
Harm, hearing Duo’s call appears on the scene, and he isn’t too happy. Blasting Vittorio back from Duo he severs the connection, allowing Duo the chance to fight against her hunger, but as a battle rages between the two demons, their anger and energy do little to alleviate Shinigami’s hunger and she slowly begins to give in…
Harm, enraged by Vittorio’s actions against Duo and threats he makes towards his sister, Greta, charges the demon, suffering injuries along the way and burns out Vittorio’s eyes with his own eye beams…this excess rage emitted from Will is the final shot of dark energy that sends Shinigami over the edge…
Has Duo turned UBER BAD ASSED!!!??? Will Harm beat Vittorio into a bloody PULP???!!! Whatever happens there should be tones of blood, guts and gore…if you are of a gentle disposition then…get over it and read anyway!!! :D
Shinigami - May 11, 2004 11:33 PM (GMT)
As you were promise, blood and guts did occur! Harm continued to go psycho on Vittorio, and Wonder girl responded promptly to Supersonic's call...upon arrival, Cassie witnessed Will loosing control and severely harming Vittorio, which both shocked and disturbed her.
Shinigami, after having absorbed a large quantity of Vittorio's essence and thriving off of Harm's anger has gone through a few physical and psychological changes. Her white wings, a gift from heaven has turned charcoal black and the tips of her hair a vivid red, a dead ringer for the colour of Vittorio's and harm's energy beams. She has also acquired the power to form sharp objects, mainly spears from the red energy she has claimed which she has had fun in spearing Supersonic and Cassie with. Also in an attempt to spare Vittorio more of a beating and to give him the opportunity to recover, Shin embedded her red, thermal scythe into Harm's shoulder, ripping him away from Vittorio and slamming him into a wall.
Shinigami is now bent on destroying Cassie, whilst Harm repairs his own wounds and Supersonics after regaining a meagre degree of control, but his mind is still bent on dark thoughts...
Is Shinigami lost to dark, and is Harm soon to follow...?

Wonder Girl, showing that she could do just fine without anyone having to save her took on Shinigami, much to Harm and Supersonic's suprise. But unlike Harm and Shinigami, Cassie had complete control over her viciousness. Meanwhile Vittorio healed his wounds, reveling in what Shinigami had become.
Shinigami revealed that her problem with Cassie was that she still had some of Wonder Girl in her after she absored her soul way back in "Hunger". She felt that if she killed Cassie that the little bit of Cassie's soul that was still in her would leave as it went to heaven with the rest of her. Though she was being vicious, in the far reaches of her mind, she felt some sorrow, wondering why her best friends couldn't save her from herself. At this point Vittorio was fully healed and forced even more of his dark essense into Shinigami, clearing her mind of any goodness that was even in the back of her mind.
Supersonic tried once again to talk Shinigami out of it, even offering up himself in the hopes that if she did take his soul that it would help her return to them as it had previously happened with Cassie. While at first it appeared that Supersonic's sacrifice would work, Duo became infuriated when she found that the memory of her death was in the speedster's head. This fury made it so even Supersonic's good soul had no effect on her darkness.
Supersonic's death had it's effect on both Harm and Wondergirl as both launched themselves, Harm at Shinigami and Wonder Girl at Vittorio. Marx's death along with all the other frustrations Harm was going though made him seemingly snap at he unleashed his all against Shinigami.
Long story short, they have a sweet fight scene that leaves both combatants, wearing and bloody, and Shinigami's arm dislocated. Harm's ego leads him to use his powers to heal Shinigami so he can start beating on her again. As she lashes back this turns out not to have been as good of a plan as it seemed. As the battle continued Harm's taunts about Duo's inner goodness began wearing down at her, until she was started losing her calm demeaner.
Harm took this opportunity to use the one power he's never used since he joined the Titans. Summoning energy from Shogt, demon of Death, he pulled Shinigami and him to the Death Realm. It's believed that since death is neither good nor evil, there'll be neither for her to draw from. If she's good or evil in her heart, they'll find out when they get over the shock of going to the Death Realm without the use of the Abyss. So the question is, what will either of the dark beings find out about themselves as they come to?

Wonder Girl and Vittorio stop fighting for a few moments as they realize that Harm and Shinigami have disappeared. Meanwhile in the Death Realm, Shinigami turns out to be a good person at heart as she mourns Supersonic's death. Sadly enough, Harm didn't find out the same news. He was neither good or evil, he just stayed neutral, which would mean when he dies he would get sent to the black nothingness of he Death Realm, a fate slightly better than Hell. But he pushed that aside as he reassured Duo that she was a good person, better than him, and that they would use their collective powers to bring back Supersonic. Harm said he'd keep his promise to Duo to take her down if she turned upon entering the alley again. With that said, he used his powers to take them out of the Death Realm and back into the alley.

As soon as Harm and Duo got back they immediatly used their abilities to bring Supersonic back to life, even if he was slightly....disoriented at first. Wonder Girl, who was still fighting Vittorio at this point helped to reassure Shinigami that in her heart she was good, not to give in to the evil that surrounded her.
Duo charged at Vittorio taking her off Cassie's hands, claiming that this would be ended tonight. She then asked Harm to shadowport everyone away so she could take Vittorio down by herself. Using her new abilities she laid into Vittorio, getting slight flashes of her talk with Cody. She pushed it aside as she continued to kill Vittorio.
Meanwhile Harm shadowported Supersonic and Wonder Girl to the back of the Elias school. And Wonder Girl was not pleased. She yelled at Harm about all the things she'd seen him do that night, only making Harm's doubt about his goodness worst as he tried his best to explain his actions. Is Duo going to kill Vittorio? How are Harm and Wonder Girl going to deal with their first fight together? You'll find out soon.
Shinigami - May 31, 2004 09:23 PM (GMT)
Duo with her hands about Vittorio's throat recounts the words of her boyfriend Cody, and begins to weep as she attempts to murder Vittorio who has been a large part of her life for so long.
In Vittorio's rage he rips in Shinigami, confessing that it was due to his intervention and the pain that it would bring upon himself that Lucifer had allowed Duo to join Satan's ranks...for there is no room in Hell for love...
As Vittorio comes to terms with his own warped feelings of love and hate for Duo, Cassie and Will face their own troubles.
Cassie is horrified and disgusted at Will's actions throughout the night, and lets him know in detail...also accusing Will of putting on an elaborate facade in order for to make her like him.
Will, in a blind rage, pushes Cassie into a wall and blocks her exit, effectively pinning her to the wall outside Elias High, the extent of his fury depicted in a terrifying manner as the bricks about Cassie's frame crumble under the pressure of his hands. Demanding silence from her he forces her to realise that he has always been honest with her and his feelings were always have been very real, but that part of him is always going to be tainted with dark tendencies...
Cassie, terrified by her boyfriend's violent outburst directed at her screams for him to get away from her. Deeply shaken and hurt inside and out she informs her boyfriend, whom she had come to love and cherish, that their relationship could not survive the night's events...that it was over...
Harm...mortified by Cassie's words is unable to proclaim his love for her...the words dying on his lips...as a final act of love he heals her damaged body and retreats into the shadows, porting back to his room...
Vittorio, having admitted that he has loved Duo from the start, tells her that he was the one to save her, since Satan had intended on rejecting her proposal and condemning her to suffer in Hell, he had ensured that under his instruction she would be a member of the ranks. Shinigami, in a disorientated and highly emotional state, laughs at Vittorio’s words, proclaiming that she was beyond saving and crumbles to the ground, exhausted and wanting it all simply to end…
Vittorio, calling her by her real name, Duo, clasps her in a gentle hug and whispers that he loves her…his heart finding the peace he has always sought in the confession. And knowing that she is unable to let him leave…he gives his soul up to her in a tender kiss…his essence quenching the hunger that has been gnawing within her for years…saving her after all…
His body decayed and crumpled in her arms, turning to ash…she gathered as much of the remains as she physically could into a milk bottle and cried over the remains…
Supersonic, in a desperate attempt to avoid the raging hormones and emotions doing all out war between Cassie and Will, sets out to find Duo and finds her in a huddled heap weeping. In an attempt to console his friend he shows that he holds no ill will against Duo by offering to show her the almighty “wedgie technique” if she beats him in their spar rematch…a deep honour coming from the morphing speedster.
Duo, delighted to see her friend back on his feet, gladly accepts the offer, and startles him further by grabbing him in a hug, no longer fearful due to the lack of the hunger…
Marx, seeing the Duo is barely able to stand, carries her as he flies, taking her back to Elias high, resting her on her bed and wishing her a restful night, free from the horrific nightmares of her demise that he knows plague her.
Cassie, after rising from the rubble of the wall, symbolic of her shattered relationships, along with the crushed rose, returns to her room. Cissie, concerned for her friend’s well being, visits Cassie and is instantly worried when she sees the crying form of Cassie, who incoherently rambles the entire nights events through a haze of tears. Suddenly realising that the shadows of her room made it possible for Will to shadow port into her room, races about turning out all the lights and blacks out the window, and confesses to Cissie and the dark that she loves him…
Duo, ignoring her pained state, leaves the vicinity of Elias High…she has one thing left to do…then the night can draw to a close…
Clasping tightly to the bottle holding Vittorio’s remains she flies to the midnight ocean and offers his remains, and her tears to the ocean, praying in vain that the fires of Hell will be unable to reach him there…
Perching on a rock formation she watched the sun as it rises, bringing with it a new hope as she relishes the fact that the hunger is gone. Thinking of Cody she hopes that now she has been saved that she will truly be able to trust him, and he friends…
With her thoughts lingering on Cassie and Will and the pain she undoubtedly knew they were suffering she acknowledged that she had acquired happiness at the expense of her friends…
Do you think her wicked…or do you think her human?
