In the dense rainforest of Africa, Raido X and Shinigami fought among the ashes of a burned village. All the inhabitants had been burned alive and Shinigami found X among the rubble. She blamed him for what had happened and the two engaged in a bloody battle.
In the end X pushed Shinigami out of the way of a lone gunner’s bullet and took the slugs himself. Shinigami felt his innocence and gave him CPR to save his life. She carried him away from the fires and collapsed deep in the forest.
When X awoke he went in search of help and found it in a lone chapel. He carried Shinigami there and requested the aid of the Priest and Nun living there to help her heal from her wounds and refusing their help himself.
Several days were spent within the confines of the small church where X and Duo had sought shelter, their wounds were healing steadily but both are still in an atrocious state. The gashes across X's stomach, courtesy of Duo, had caused much pain and had becoming infected causing X to suffer from a fever in which he lapsed into slumber for several days.
Duo's wings were healing swiftly, the heavenly gift having an accelerated healing but still requiring several days of rest until they are fully operational, and her leg had suffered a twisted knee and broken shin making it incredibly painful to walk on.
Whilst X slept Duo kept a keen eye on him, not wishing for either of his others, Y or Z, to take control in his weakened position. When X woke he made his uneasiness at being in a holy building known and decided it was best to leave the church whilst Duo, who is practically immobile, remained.
As X wondered from the sanctuary of the church he came across another small village that had not been affected by the strange array of burnings that had been plaguing the area, but this was soon to change as a horde of demons swamped the village...the only thing stopping them ripping the village apart was X!
Duo, sensing in the air that something was wrong followed X's aura signals and found the loner sprawled upon the ground about to be burnt alive. Duo managed to fly and save X but since her wings weren't fully healed both crashed to the ground a little way from the demons. Both fought bravely against unfathomable odds and were overpowered and captured.
The leader of the group of minions and high minion of an enemy, who has not yet revealed himself, Zaird, used a magic pack to convert X to the malicious Lord Z! Zaird also healed Lord Z's wounds and the magic pack was destroyed by Lord Z to prevent either of his others from claiming control.
Duo, pinned upon the floor by several demons, her energy waning to the point she cannot even conjure energy spears, is helpless, at the mercy of Zaird, a horde of demons and her one ally has been taken over by one of his evil others. And what is worse is due to the short period of time Raido was in Sano's body (See the Switcherroni rpg) he invaded Duo's mind and knows more about her then most!
Duo, refusing to simply be pinned to the ground whilst Lord Z ridicules and taunts about his "inner" knowledge of her, summons with her waning power a single red energy spear and uses it to rip into Z's shoulder.
Zared, furious for Lord Z demands that the demons pinning Shinigami to the ground kill her, her arm and several ribs are broken before Lord Z can order that she not be harmed. To demonstrate this point he conjures a series of ten-foot stalagmites about Duo killing several of the demons that were too slow to move.
Lord Z grab's Duo's broken body, his iced touch burning her skin and pinned her to the iced wall, demanding that before she died to reveal where the rest of the Teen Titans are. Duo's sarcastic replies are not welcomed and she is thrown to the ground, receiving a boot to the stomach and her broken arm was viciously kneeled upon as Lord Z reveal to Duo some of the secrets of the Raido body and it's inhabitants. When any member of the Raido body is not in control they take on a physical basis within the mind and the entities Y and Z, for their own sadistic pleasure, rip apart the body and mind of X, and since the entities cannot die within the Raido mind, X is subjected to a series of brutal deaths time and time again.
Instead of killing the broken Shinigami Lord Z freezes her entire body save her head and demands Zared to heal her every time she reaches hypothermia, therefore keeping her alive but immobile as Lord Z demands that Zared take them to meet his master.
Zared led Lord Z, with Shinigami unwillingly in toe, to meet his master, Lord Abigor, who showed a keen interest in both lord Z and Duo, but mocked Shinigami when she claimed the title "Angel of Death".
Lord Abigor remains chained to a throne by magical crafted shackles and to be freed he must have a soul sacrificed to him for every link in the chains of the manacles, hence the burning of the villages situated about the area.
It was then revealed that this Lord Abigor is in fact the demon who tortured Lord Z in hell and placed him and the other entities in the Raido body and by simply willing it he send Lord Z back into the body to allow either X or Y to claim control of the Raido body, but who shall rise to the surface?
As Lord Z looses control the ice encasing Shinigami began to thaw and she was able to breach her bounds and free herself. Calling upon her freshly healed wings she took to the sky and with her thermal scythe in hand is aiming a strike at Lord Abigor, all the while praying to anyone who is willing to listen that the entity raising to control the Raido body is X!
