Title: Another Way
Description: Harm's Training

Marx - July 11, 2004 04:34 AM (GMT)
This happens two weeks after "The Price of Evil"

Harm looked down from the mountain he was currently climbing. "Tibet. All the places she could be...and she's in a mountain in Tibet. It's just so...typical. Though..." Harm started as he looked back up the mountin and resumed climbing it. "..I really miss my shadowporting ability, even the gliding option I've reinstalled in my cape won't help climbing a freakin mountain." Really Harm was just talking to keep himself occupied so the climb wouldn't seem quite as long.

As Harm continued to climb he thought of what happened to lead him here. It all seemed to start when an old friend of Duo's tried to take her back to Hell and almost succeeded turning her with some inadvertant help from Harm's fury. After the night was over Harm had come close to going evil himself which led Cassie to break up with him. Harm then made the decision to get rid of his powers, but with that problem solved he now has the new one of finding another way to fight the good fight. Harm's search for alternate magic led him to this mountain in Tibet. As Harm finally got to the top of the mountain, he saw what looked like a slightly bigger than average house. According to his research, a white mage lived in this house, hopefully she'd be willing to train him.

But there's one thing that Harm already knew, he'd already been gone from Cassie for two weeks, and it'd probably take at least another week and a half to get back to San Francisco. Harm admitted to himself that his time without Cassie made him realize how much she meant to him, he wasn't going to stay here very long. Harm knocked on the door, only to have it slowly open by itself after the first knock. "Ooooh creepy." Harm said sarcastically as he stepped inside. "Do you have any idea what I do to your kind when they step in here?" a voice asked echoing through the room Harm had just stepped in. "My kind? I'm here for-.." "I know why you're here! And I'll repeat my question." "No need, I heard you the first time. And I'm not into the dark forces anymore, which you'd know if you supposedly know why I'm here.

"So let me get this straight, you've been clear of the dark arts for less than three weeks and you expect me to trust you?" Harm let out a sigh. "Fine, I agree you have no reason to trust me. But you seem to know about me, I've come a really long way to-.." "I thought I said I already know why you're here. You want me to train you because you don't have your demonic connections anymore. I'll admit you're obviously different from the others, but that doesn't mean you deserve my training." "Please White Mage, I'm begging you." Harm said, his voice pleading. "Give me one good reason." "There's this girl...I love her...I want to be able to watch out for her. If you're not going to help me I'll just find another way! I'm only here because you were the best of the white mages I could find." He snapped, starting to get discusted.

"Well well well. Don't we have a bad temper?" Harm growled at the voice. "Yes, I do, especially when I have to come begging for help and the person whose help I need won't even face me!" "Hm, is that right? And how long do you expect me to train you? The voice replied, not quite as cold, letting it's laughter be known. "I'm only going to be staying a week." "A WEEK?! How long did it take you to get to the level of dark magic you were at? As a matter of fact how long did it take Buzz to train you before you killed him?" Harm paused, obviously picking his words carefully before he replied. "I don't care, I...I need to get back to her. One week is it." "And tell me, what's the point in training for only a week and then going back to her being no better off than you are now?" "Simple, I only want the bare basics. I'm a quick learner, a week is all I need." Harm said with confidence.

A short, old woman seemingly stepped from out of the wall. "You know, for an all powerful white mage you seem really reluctant about showing yourself." Harm growled to the old woman. "How do you know I just don't enjoy annoying you, demon? Harm seemed to be caught off guard by the name. "I'm not a demon." He said glaring at her. "Then why'd you hesitate? Now...lets start with the first lesson..." The white mage started, returning Harm's glare.

Day 1

Harm sneered at the White Mage's sarcasm, and returned it. "An little old lady who can probably beat me up living in a small place in the mountains of Tibet. You really go for the stereotypes don't you?" The white mage looked back and sneered back at Harm before transforming into a beautiful young woman with long black hair, slightly taller than Harm. "Better?" Harm laughed as his trademark smirk came across his face. "I'm flattered but there's already someone I'm interested in, thanks." "Heh. Cute. You want to learn the first lesson or not?" The white mage snapped at Harm. "Okay okay, what's the first lesson? And what do you really look like?" The white mage smirked as Harm asked the second question. "Wouldn't you like to know? Anyway, to find out the first lesson you have to attack me."

Harm's smirk got all the darker as he thought of the possibility of attacking her, and immediately jumped forward to attack. As soon as Harm reached his peak in the air the white mage leaped into the air at a speed that would rival Kid Flash's kneeing Harm in the stomach. The force of the blow threw Harm into the wall leaving and indent where he collided. Before Harm could even fully react to he pain of the blow, he recieved dozens of other kicks and punches all over his body breaking bones each time. As Harm's body finally slid to the floor he had so many broken bones that he wasn't able to move at all. He tried to yell in defiance but his lungs were punctured as well. But all the wounds were done with such precision that there were no punctures in his skin, only the bruises from each blow.

"First lesson. You should never attack an opponent without thinking. Especially one whose obviously stronger than you. Also, I don't hold back when I fight...much." The white mage said as she looked down on Harm's pitiful form. With one wave of her hand, Harm's wounds were instantly healed. As he got up, he glared at the white mage. "Okay, so you have some skill. And I forgot I didn't have my powers anymore." "Yes. You did. If I had attacked you 5 seconds later the portal to Hell would have already started to open. You think you would have learned from that whole body switching deal." She said, being smug. "You seem to know a lot about me." "Of course I do, you're a force of darkness. Harm then glared at the white mage. "I'M NOT A FORCE OF DARKNESS ANYMORE OK!" He was already getting annoyed with her talking to him like he was still evil...at least he was pretty sure he wasn't evil. Cassie said- "NO! There is no 'Cassie said-'. Well? Are you evil or aren't you? Harm growled at the white mage, he never liked the idea of someone going into his mind. "Don't bother trying to change the subject! Are you or aren't you?"

"I DON'T KNOW!" Harm yelled, he wanted to attack her but he knew that would have been pointless. "Yes you do. Everyone does. Answer the question." Harm sighed. "Look, I try my best to be good but...in the Death Realm.." "And I agree with it. You'll never be completely good no matter how hard you try." She interrupted coldly. "Whatever. I know I'm not evil." Harm snapped back, discusted. "Good! Now that we have that out of the way..." Harm's eyes went wide as he just realized that he'd inadvertently answered her question.

Two ninjas then took form out of the ground. "One of my many powers can give form to my illusions. In short they're very much real. And since I'm going to bed for the night and won't be able to heal you, I'd strongly suggest that you don't get too injured...or you'll probably die." With that said she walked out of the room leaving Harm with the ninjas. Harm took a martial arts stance looking at the two ninjas. "Great. Just great. You planning on attacking anytime this century?" Harm growled, his annoyance being made clear. He'd come to learn how to use low level white magic, not fight ninjas all night. Both ninjas attacked at the same time, knocking Harm once more into the wall. "Of course, suprised she didn't make them breathe fire while she's at it." Harm then launched his own attacks attempting to break their legs. They were both able to dodge the kicks and once more began moving at the same time with kicks to Harm's head. Harm was able to duck and twist his legs, successfully sweeping both of them on the ground. "Hm, bad news for you is that I'm still well trained in hand to hand combat so I'm not planning on dying or losing anytime soon." Harm then flipped forward kicking one of the ninjas in the chest. But was kicked across his side by the other one. "Perfect. Broken rib and it's only the first ten minutes. This is gonna be fun."

Day 2

As the white mage woke up and came into the room she smiled as she saw one of the ninjas flying into the wall. She then saw a very bruised, bloody, and exhausted Harm getting kicked in back by the other one. Harm fell on the floor, breathing hard but still defiant against the odds. Harm then went to return the blow with a kick to the gut with his good leg only to have that ninja along with the other one dispersed into the air. Harm looked up at the white mage, even though he could barely see her since his eyes had gotten so swollen. "Did...did I...pass your...s..stupid...little test...?" The white mage smiled as she once more waved her hand and healed Harm's injuries. "Awww, you poor little boy. That was only the first day. Of course since you're only staying a week I have to...beef up my training." "Good! I don't want you to go easy on me. Since you apparently know so much about me, you should know that." Harm snapped. Though in the back of his head he knew he was iritable because of all the fighting and the fact that he was starving.

"I do. But now's the time for the next lesson. You've done fine in hand to hand, let's try something new." The white mage's brown eyes suddenly turned all white as a pair of sighs appeared in Harm's hands. As Harm looked down at the sighs, he got a disappointed look upon his face. "I'm better with a sword." "No, at close range against opponents your size you fight best with sighs. You didn't use them when you were evil because the sighs were sacred, and then you didn't use them because they made you think about your first kills. I have not time for this psychological nonsense. Use the damn sighs and try to kill me!" "Such a potty mouth." Harm said with a smirk. "Now the problem with this is if I kill you, how are you going to train me?" "I said 'try' and I meant try. I'm too fast for you to actually succeed. Don't hold back."

With a long breath Harm flipped the point of the sighs outwards. She was right, he'd always been better with sighs, damn her telepathy could be annoying. "Now whose being the potty mouth?" "Hmph!" Harm then charged at her as she easily dodged the blow. "What part of don't hold back didn't I make clear?" Harm then charged at her with both sighs and as she jumped over him, threw on towards her chest only to have it deflected back into his hand. "I know you maximum ability Billy. Stop. Holding. Back. Try to kill me!" Harm was starting to get frustrated by her taunts, moving as fast as he humanly could he once more went for a stab, both aimed at her chest. But the white mage simply caught his hands. "This...is pathetic. Do you even know why you can't bring yourself to try to kill me?" Harm stopped trying to attack, slightly confused by the question. "*sigh* You know, your angel friend figured this out talking to a baby! I don't know why it took you so long. Maybe it's the age difference. You don't want to kill anymore! That's why you can't do it!"

The white mage let go of Harm's hands as she let him think about what he was just told. "You could have tried to use the last of your power to kill the angel and instead you chose to save her despite you being seriously ticked off. In the back of your block of a head you're tired of killing." "...yeah...I guess...you're ri-...wait! You watch Duo too?!" "I watch over all forces of darkness. There's been two new entrants also and oddly enough both have links to you! But I just needed you to come to that realization before I can train you more." Before Harm could ask who the two were another being appeared from the floor. "I believe you know the drill by now." The white mage said as she sat down on the floor.

Harm flipped his sighs with the handles pointing outwards. "Bring it." Harm said in a commanding voice as the new ninja took his fighting stance. Harm's eyes went wide as he recognized that stance. "You're kidding me? Robin?" "Yes. Well..his fighting style anyway. Have fun." "Just great." Harm growled as the ninja formed a bo staff and launched it's attack. Harm was able to stop the bo with one sigh and tried to attack with the other but the ninja quickly backflipped out of the way before swinging the bo staff towards Harm's ribs. Harm quickly dodged the bo and went for a kick against the side of the ninja's head, but the ninja simply rolled with the force of the blow delivering one of it's own to Harm's chest knocking him back. While Harm had beaten Robin before, Harm was at the top of his game and Robin wasn't thinking straight and right now Harm had neither of these advantages which he would like to say made him and Robin even, but it didn't, this was especially proven as the bo drove itself into Harm's midsection driving him to the wall.

Harm yelled in pain as the bo was driven multiple times purposely hitting Harm's organs as the bo never officially went all the way through Harm in the first place. Harm growled as he purposely drove the bo the rest of the way through him to limit it's uses, but the bo immediatly disappeared once this happened before Harm could launch his counter attack. "Do you realize what you just did? Hm? Look down. Harm didn't need to look down as he fell, the hole in him was too big, there was so much blood coming out that he was already losing consciousness. "You just killed yourself smart guy. How about thinking before you act! Again!" With a wave of the white mage's hand, Harm's wounds were healed once more only to have the bo shoved into his side again. Only this time the ninja was even more forceful as he hit Harm's organs. Harm then grabbed the bo and lifted it, slamming the ninja against the wall with all of his strength. Harm then quickly took the bo out of him, spinning it before launching another attack on the ninja, he then threw the bo all the way across the room before falling to his knees. He was still bleeding profusely but nowhere near as much as he had been on the first encounter.

Harm unconsciously waited for the white mage to heal his wounds. "What? You expect me to heal you every time you get hurt? I thought you were supposed to be a bad boy." Harm growled in reply ripping part of his cape to act as a bandage. He then picked up his sighs to attack the ninja again, though in his mind he really wasn't looking forward to it, the way this ninja fought, he might as well have a bullseye painted on his side.

After 5 hours of fighting and countless strikes with and without the bo onto the wound the white mage finally put an end to it as the ninja disipated into the air once more. "Not bad. At least you still have your pain tolerance. Though you will have to learn to deal with your injuries normally. So I'm not healing you anymore today...at all. Unless you have an endless supply of capes, I'd suggest you be prepared for at least basic first aid. You know, in case you find yourself severely injured in the mountains of Tibet." "What?" Harm raised and eyebrow. "You're suggesting I get a utility belt? Um..no." "You can keep it down your dark red and blue diamoned boxers for all I care, but it would be a good idea to be prepared." As much as Harm didn't like the idea of her knowing that much...specific information, she was right about being prepared. "See? Things go along much easier when you agree with me. Sleep well."

As the white mage walked out the room yet another ninja appeared from the air but this one took yet another fighting stance. Harm let out a long sigh. "First Tim and now Cassie. I don't care what type of magic you use, you're more evil than I used to be." Flipping the sighs so that the handles were out, he waited for the ninja's attack. 'Let me guess, this is the part of the training where I work on my dodging...' Harm thought sarcastically to himself.

Marx - July 13, 2004 12:48 AM (GMT)
Day 3

The mage walked into the training room, well rested to find her trainee with much less damage than she expected. Sure the floor had blood stains all over it from the times Harm had been hit on his wound, but for the most part he wasn't too banged up. She then saw that the reason was that he hadn't been attacking, only dodging, probably the whole night, only the blood on the floor was a symbol that his dodges weren't always successful. Harm rolled with the punch from the ninja only to lose his footing and slam into the wall. He was completely exhausted. Harm had been training almost nonstop for 2 days without anything to eat or drink. Before the ninja's blow could connect it disappeared and the white mage stood in it's place. "Hmph! You look kinda tired Billy." She taunted flashing a cold smile.

Harm slowly raised his head to look up at her. "It's...Harm...or....Will....and...are....you...kidding?....I could....go...at this...the whole....week...." He said trying to hide his exhaustion. "Oh? And I was just about to give you something to eat. If thats the case I guess you can complete an obstacle before you come to the kitchen." As the white mage walked out of the room another ninja appeared. "It'll disappear in two hours, breakfast will be ready by then." Harm was already out of breath and followed that with a long sigh as he recognized the fighting style again. He slowly turned to the door. "You suck, you know that?" As soon as the words fell from Harm's lips, the ninja grew wings and formed a thermal scythe. Harm groaned loudly as he stood up. "I really need to learn to watch what I say." Harm then took his fighting stance, he was too exhausted to dodge anymore so all he could do was attack. "Come on, angel."

After two hours Harm somehow was able to drag himself out of the room. 'I think she gets off having my friends beat the living crap out of me.' He thought as he pulled himself up to the kitchen table to see...well...he didn't know what the hell it was. It was some kinda gray goop in a huge bowl. "One more complaint and I'll take it away." The white mage threatened from across the table. That was all the confirmation that Harm needed to prove that it was indeed food as he started scarfing it down, forcing out of his mind the fact that the white mage herself was eating fluffy pancakes along with eggs and bacon. The white mage smirked as Harm finished whatever it was that she called his breakfast. Normally Harm would have made a wisecrack about how the food was actually worst than it looked, but he still had 4 more days, wouldn't be a good idea to criticize her food. "Good boy. Now get some sleep." The white mage ordered and not even a second after the order heard the thump of Harm's head hitting the table, and the light snoring that followed it.

Four hours later the white mage woke Harm up by kicking the chair from under him. "Sleepy time's over. Back to the training room." Harm groaned as he started to get up only to be suprised when he realized that his injuries were healed. Though he had to admit he was still tired but he could deal with it. He didn't come all this way to sleep. Harm was caught by suprise once more as he saw the one he'd been dreaming about for the whole four hours. "Cassie?" "As I said, I have many powers including teleportation." the white mage stated like it was no big deal. For the first time since Harm had gotten to the house he began to smile, but the smile was cut short as a huge gray claw sliced through Cassie and her body fell limp to the floor. "NO!" Harm yelled as he looked upon Cassie's killer. "Doomsboy I'LL KILL YOU!" Harm immediatly charged at Doomsboy not even bothering to pick up the sighs. But it seemed that Harm's yelling and deturmination did very little to actually stop Doomsboy as he was easily picked up by the neck. Doomsboy meerly gave Harm an evil smirk as the gray monster drove his fist into Harm's head. Only before the punch actually collided with Harm's face both Doomsboy and Cassie both vanished.

It didn't take Harm long to realize that both were actually illusions. "HOW...DARE YOU!?" Harm yelled at the white mage. The white mage simply glared at Harm, though even as pissed as Harm was he still backed up slightly as it was obvious the white mage was genuinely furious. "How dare I? It wasn't a fatal blow Harm, if you'd have looked at it hard enough you would have realized that. Instead you went and killed yourself for the second time! The white mage then walked towards Harm getting into his face. "There was no way you could have beaten Doomsboy! You didn't even bother to take your weapon with you! Because of your recklessness both you and the girl you supposedly love would have died if this actually happened! I. Don't. Train. Dead guys! I'm not training you anymore today! And if I see you doing so much as a push up, I'm not training you for the rest of the week either!" With that said, the white mage turned her back on Harm and walked out of the room not even waiting for a reply.

Harm slid down and sat against the wall. She was right. He had been reckless and if that had been a real situation he would have gotten them both killed. Harm had never really thought of himself as reckless, but when it came to Cassie and Greta he really did act in their defence before thinking. A prime example being when he went on his own after Greta when everyone went to Apokalips. All he ended up doing in the long run was getting overwhelmed by Parademons and getting captured. Especially when it involves the two girls that he loves, he should be thinking before he attacks. Harm continued to think of his recklessness and how he could better himself as he slowly drifted back to sleep.

Marx - July 13, 2004 10:18 PM (GMT)
Day 4

Harm woke up to see the white mage standing over him. "Were you standing over me this whole time or did you know when I'd wake up?" Harm asked only to get slightly raised eyebrows as a response. "Look, I'm sorry for yelling at you sensei." This time the eyebrows raising was a lot more obvious. "Sensei?" Harm then rolled his eyes. "It's not like I know your name." "And you won't either. You going to train today or stay on the floor pitying yourself?" She said, the coldness in her voice once more returning. Harm got up and nodded. "Good. Now that you've gotten some sleep, I don't expect any excuses. Harm waited for the ninja of the day to appear only to get Doomsboy once more. "You'll have to learn to fight oponents who are stronger and faster than you. I'll be back in a couple of hours."

Harm smirked as the white mage left. 'I bet she always leaves like that so she won't be tempted to heal me if I get hurt.' Harm thought as he picked up he sighs, she was right Doomsboy was a lot stronger and a lot faster than he was, but luckily the one thing he'd gotten a lot better at was his defence. Harm rolled with Doomsboy's first punch and attempted a judo style monkey flip to use Doomsboy's momentum against him but he was too heavy and too strong even using the judo technique. Harm simply endind up holding on to Doomsboy's arm, he used this as and advantage and swing the handle of the sigh across Doomsboy's jaw before backflipping out of the way of another punch. One advantage Harm had was that Doomsboy had no real fighting style he relied completly on his strength, which made him easier to dodge than Wonder Girl's ninja, but not by much since his speed made up for his lack of stlyle. Harm continued his strategy of dodging the monster's blows and counterattacking with the sighs. It was a good thing he'd gotten his sleep, there's no way he'd have been able to use this way of fighting when he was exhausted. But his dodging only delayed the inevitable as eventually Doomsboy was able to grab Harm's cape and drive his bony knee into Harm's side puncturing the skin with ease.

Harm had no choice but to ignore the pain in his side. He simply pushed himself out of spikey bones and flipping the sighs so that the blades were outwards Harm went to try to break the bones with the point, but he wasn't strong enough, as a matter of fact his blows to Doomsday were having little to no affect and were only hurting Harm. He quickly tore yet another part of his cape and used it to bandage his injured side. 'There's gotta be something I'm not doing.' Harm thought as he rolled with yet another blow and then got an idea. Doomsboy tried to slam him down with both fists, but Harm rolled forward out of the way and jumped up until he was eye level with Doomsboy and quickly using all of his strength jabbed the sighs into Doomsboy's eyes. The monster let out a shriek of pain and quickly pulled the sighs out. But for the moment, he was blind, if there were ever an opportunity to attack now was it. Harm quickly ran around Doomsboy picking up the sighs that were thrown and flipped the handles outwards and aimed his blows at Doomboy's temples hoping to knock the beast down at least. But unfortunatly enough, as before, Doomsboy's skin was so hard that the blows had very little effect and by the time Doomsboy's eyes had grown back with more protective bones surrounding them, saying it was pissed would be an understatement. Harm didn't even have time to counter attack anymore he could only do his best to roll with the blows and was still starting to get a couple of bruises. 'There's nothing more I can do!' Harm yelled to himself, obviously frustrated.

"No. There isn't." Doomsboy suddenly froze in place, as Harm looked towards he source of the voice that by now he'd gotten to know pretty well. "I'm impressed. And that's a rarity. But as you've been thinking for the past 3 days, you came here to learn low level white magic, and to stand any chance against something that strong you'll need to learn some...unless of course you want a utility belt and maybe some matching demon shaped throwing knives? You could call them Harmerangs." Harm narrowed his eyes at the white mage. "Not funny." The white mage shrugged still laughing a little at her joke. "You know that was funny, but back to the subject. Sit down with me." Harm then got a slight smirk. "I thought I told you before, I'm flattered, I really am but-" "Shut up and sit down!" The white mage interrupted unable to hide the slight laugh she had. Harm laughed a little and then sat down and followed her lead and closed her eyes. "As you know, with dark magic you have to force it into you. Only after you do it for awhile it doesn't take much force but it's still there. White magic is the total opposite, but you won't be able to summon it on your own, you'll need a conduit with a connection to white magic." Getting her meaning Harm picked up the sighs. "Good. Now concentrate on the light. This is the only part of white magic that's similar to dark, it's in the concentration. Focus on the light, but don't force it, just alow it to come out of you.....good....open your eyes... When Harm opened his eyes he saw that there was a white aura was around them.

"It's hard to explain, but to get more energy around then you have to force more power into the sighs. Of course as you know you can't force white magic, you have to allow it to come out of you. And since it comes from you, it's only as strong as you can make it, you're not relying on other demons' abilities. It's all you." The white aura went away as soon as Harm tried to put more energy to it. "Hm, that is a bit tricky." Harm thought once more about the light, about the goodness inside of him allowing it to be concentrated into the sighs and the white aura returned once more. Staying calm Harm was able to get more energy into the sighs widening the aura. He began to smile as he figured it out adding more and more energy to the sighs, making the aura bigger and bigger until you could barely make out the sighs. But as he did this he realized that the more energy he put into the sighs, the more drained he felt. "Wait. When you said the energy came from me...you meant my essense." The white mage nodded in reply. As Harm felt the energy going back into him he knew that it would definetly take some getting used to.

"I'm impressed once more, usually one of your kind wouldn't be able to catch on to that so quickly. You do have a lot of potential. Oh well, I'm going to bed." Harm's eyes went wide as he now knew what this meant. "Oh come on! I just learned how to use them! You...you sleep too much!" Harm yelled at the mage. The white mage simple looked back at Harm with a devious smirk as she pointed to Doomsboy who was starting to move again. "Sweet dreams." Harm sneered at her as she walked away. "Yeah sweet dreams to you too you *insert mumbled profanity here*" Harm then looked back to Doomsboy. He immediatly saw a problem, he had to be serene and mellow to weild the sighs to their full potential, which meant he had to fight while staying completely calm, though when he thought about it, he'd never seen the white mage use her powers while she was mad. Harm then flipped the sighs so the points were outwards and allowed the white magic aura to surround the sighs. "Let's go Rocky."

Day 5

As the white mage walked into the training room once more she smirked. "You know, at this rate you're going to be leaving here without a cape. Harm merely sneered in reply. He had learned to weild his weapons well, and through the course of the night had only been hit twice. Problem is, when you're facing someone as strong as Doomsboy, one hit's enough to take you down. From the two hits Harm had his ribs and his chest wrapped up with rips from his cape even though the blood was still seeping through. As Harm had expected, Doomsboy disappeared into the air, and Harm's wounds were healed. But what caught Harm by suprise was when she immediately led him into the kitchen. Normally Harm would have made a sarcastic comment about not training him until he passes out, but he figured it'd be best for him to accept the kindness and shut up.

"Hm, you are learning." The white mage said as she gave Harm another big bowl of the gray goop. Just as before Harm ignored the terrible taste and just ate it also ignoring the fact that the white mage's food looked much more appetizing. By now Harm had the routine down and went straight to the training area, not wanting to get any rest this time as the mage smirked in reply to his decision. However she wasn't going to give him time to rest in this case regardless.

Harm immediately took out his sighs and formed the energy aura around them, waiting for his opponent. "So? Who's it going to be this time?" The white mage smiled in response and merely pointed to herself. 'Oh...great...' Harm thought. He'd only personally fought her one time and she easily wiped the floor with him. "How about if I win you tell me your age?" The white mage let out a smirk. "Trust me when I say that won't be an issue." She said as she motioned for Harm to attack. Knowing her power, Harm put a big aura around his sighs, but not so big that he'd be too drained to move quickly. Doing this balance is what made fighting Doomsboy very difficult but the night had made him better at choosing that balance.

As soon as he made his attack against the white mage she actually caught both sighs with her hands and looking at Harm gave him a mischeivious smirk. Before Harm really knew what was going on he began feeling weaker. He then tried to pull away from the white mage but it seemed too little too late as he lost consciousness.

Day 6

As Harm slowly awoke, he was immediately on guard because he was expecting to find the white mage, but this time all he saw was the training room. No white mage, no ninjas, just the room, it made him feel awkward. He then ran through his head what had happened the previous day, and instantly got annoyed with himself. He'd wasted a second day sleeping. But he wasn't quite sure what happened to knock him out, it was kind of blurry. "It's one of the main weaknesses of the energy field. It's powered by your essense. Your soul. Which means if you use that field against anyone who can absorb energy and they have a way to, well, suck your soul. And as we know without a soul..." Harm jumped slightly as the white mage started talking, he didn't see her come in the room, but knowing her she probably really did have a teleportation ability. "Without a soul you die. So in short, if I'm not careful who I fight with the sighs I'm dead meat." "Bingo." Harm sighed, "You know, you could have just told me that." The white mage gave Harm an evil smirk. "What'd be the fun in that?

The white mage started to talk but Harm interrupted her. "Before you start with the next lesson, if I catch on to it you have to reveal your true self to me." The white mage gave Harm a warm smile which he had to admit kinda freaked him out. She then topped it off by getting close to Harm and batting her eyelashes and looking well...really cute. "Reveal myself to you? Why Will, what about Cassie?" Harm then sneered and rolled his eyes at her act. "You know what I meant. Your name, age and what you really look like. If I pass the next lesson without your help you have to show them to me." The white mage stopped her cutsie act and stared at Harm cocking her head to the side before the evil smile returned on her face. "You're going to fail...and since you won't believe me...let's make this interesting...if you don't learn this lesson on your own...you have to stay and complete your training." Harm's eyes went wide as he heard the conditions, fact is, she'd shown the ability to see the past, so it's conceivable that she could see the future too. But he was a firm beleiver in making his own future, the fact that he's no longer connected to Satan is proof of that. "Deal."

"Well, I'll go train on my own now since you won't be needing my help. I'll also start on getting you an actual bedroom since you're going to be here for awhile." Harm had a slight doubt about what he just did, but dismissed it. Flipping his sighs handles outward, he faced the training room with a look of determination. Five ninjas then appeared from the floor. Scanning they're body language he was able to identify who was who and had a slightly suprised look on his face as they took their fightning stances. Two of them took flight, one grew a bo staff, another grew a bow and arrow and the last one seemed to be vibrating. 'I took them all down once, I can do it again.' Harm then charged the one with the bown and arrow who fired one of them. He was able to catch it and throw it back but it was caught at super speed by the one who was vibrating. Harm then had to quickly dodge the attacks by the flying ones. Harm then added the energy aura around his weapon and struck the flying one of the right repeatedly. He then had to dodge the other flying attacker, but suddenly found it hard to move and was struck with the bo staff. Using all of his will, Harm was able to quickly throw one of the sighs at the first flying attacking damaging the attacker's ribs. 'They can be hurt. Hm, that's new.' Suddenly Harm felt two arrows being driven through his arms.

Doing a backflip Harm was able to boot the one with the bo staff in the face, but in return was hit by the remaining flying ninja and was barely able to stop yet another arrow. These ninjas were starting to overwhelm him, unlike when he fought Young Justice before, they were fighting him all at once, the only reason he'd been able to temporarily take out the Superboy ninja was because he still had his weakness to magic. But Harm remained calm, knowing that's the only way the sighs would work. Putting an energy field around his remaining sigh the threw it at the Arrowette ninja nailing her in the bow pulling arm. But as usual for him to attack one of them, the others made up for it, Harm was thrown to the ground as the Impulse ninja tripped him and started pummeling his back. The Robin and Wonder Girl then both grabbed the arrows that Harm hadn't had time to take out of his arm. Looking at them Harm knew that whatever they were about to do with those arrows...was really gonna hurt. Harm knew that he'd lose the fight if they chose to pull those arrows so he did the first thing that came to mind. Those sighs had a link to him, concentrating, he was not only able to call the sighs back to his hands but control the path they took on their way and in both cases collided with the two ninjas' heads. Knowing the Impulse ninja was probably behind him he quickly turned around and threw one of the sighs that hit it's target and nailes one of the speedster's feet to the ground. Taking this opportunity Harm was able to pull the arrows out of his arms, not saying that this didn't hurt like hell, but it was better than the alternative. Facing the ninjas he saw that the injured ones were starting to get back up, with a sigh Harm pressed on and continued the fight.

Suprisingly, 5 hours later Harm was still fighting the ninja versions of the original Young Justice team. Harm wanted to be happy that he didn't have to fight a Secret ninja but he didn't have much time to think about that sorta stuff, the ninjas were working extraordinarily well and were learning from each other's mistakes making them nearly impossible to defend against. Harm was then dragged into the wall by the Impulse ninja. While Harm had learned how to fight for long amounts of time, these guys only got harder and harder to fight which made things very complicated. He couldn't lose this test, he could beat them. But if they were getting stronger, there wasn't a way to beat them. Once more he had to go on the defensive, it was getting frustrating because he didn't have time to think. "THAT'S IT!" Harm yelled as he was thrown onto the floor and pinned down by the Wonder Girl ninja and had the Arrowette ninja pointing an arrow at is head. "Sorry Cass. Then again. You're not her!" Harm said as he pulled the Wonder Girl ninja's arm down and watched the arrow deflect off of the bracelet before doing a judo type throw to get her off.

Backflipping to the edge of the door, Harm had to admit that the blows and everything had totally worn him out, he couldn't win the fight. He'd have to run away and regroup. Coming upon this realization Harm waited. "So?" A clapping sound came from behind as the ninja's froze in place and dispersed into the air. "I must say, I'm impressed. I honestly didn't see that coming, I guess it shows that given the right incentive, you really can change the course of your future. But you do realize that you'd never be able to run away from Impulse, if you were going to run you should have done that at least 20 minutes ago." "I'd find a way to get away and you know it." Harm said with an exhausted smile, honestly she was right, he had a lot of internal injuries, but he knew he'd have found some way. If Harm's anything, he's resourseful. The white mage began to laugh. "Fine. My name's Elvira, like you used to be I'm immortal so what you see is what you get. *Sigh* If you tell anyone my age I'll hunt you down and kill you. Heh, 185. Happy now?" Harm raised one of his eyebrows after he listened to her responses. "Elvira?" "This from a villain named Billy?" "Touche." Harm said unable to hide his laughter, which was hurting him more than it was helping. Elvira then waved her hand to heal Harm's wounds. "That's it for today's lesson. Get some rest. You'll be fighting me tomorrow, and it's not going to be to prove a lesson." With that said, she walked away.

"Good night Elvira." Harm said smirking only to get tapped on the shoulder by a ninja. Harm let out a long sigh as he picked up his weapons only to have the ninja disappear. "You know, you could just say shut up and go to sleep like a normal person!" Harm yelled in the door's direction before laying down and for the first time since he got there, going into a peaceful slumber. Considering he'd be fighting the white mage the next day, it seemed only proper for him to get at least one peaceful rest before he went through the final Hell.

Marx - July 16, 2004 09:06 PM (GMT)
Day 7

As Harm woke up, he once more saw that no one else was in the training room. It felt really odd for some reason, maybe because it was his last day here. "Come on, Will." A voice said from the kitchen. "Will?" Harm said as he looked around the training room. "There a Will here I don't know about?" He said, making fun of the fact that she rarely called him Will. "Do I need to send a Secret ninja. I can be really mean and make you fight both Secrets." The white mage said as she smirked. "Okay okay, I'm coming." Harm said laughing as he sat at the table and to his suprise found a breakfast that actually looked like food. Elvira's smirk didn't leave her face, "I didn't want you to have any excuses." Harm started to make a sarcastic remark but decided that if he were going to make one it'd be best to do it after he ate. The white mage broke out laughing. "Good idea." After they finished eating Harm stood up. "So, we gonna get this fight out of the way or what?" He said as he cracked his neck and went towards the training room stopping just outside the entrance and motioned for the white mage to go in first. "Age before beauty." The white mage gave him a death glare letting him know that at some point in the fight he'd pay for that remark. She then flipped her hair. "Please, we both know I'm prettier than you."

The jokes stopped as the got in the center of the training room. Harm knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he'd lose this fight, it was common sense. Sure he'd gotten a lot better throughout the course of the week, but he was nowhere near better than her. This fight was like a game of Tetris, it's not so much to win, it's to see how long you can last before you lose. Flipping the sighs to his side the points outwards, Harm began to circle the mage, not wanting to make the first move. "Scared?" The white mage taunted, not moving an inch. "No. Wise." Harm replied as he prepared for her attack. The white mage's response was a smirk as she waited until Harm had gotten behind her before launching herself into the air going for a punch using only gravity to add to her momentum. Putting both sighs together, making an "X", Harm blocked the punch and delivered a kick of his own to the mage's head. By the time Harm's foot got to her head, the mage had already caught it, showing her speed. She then began to swing Harm in circles before finally letting go sending Harm into the wall.

Harm rolled with his momentum, caught himself on the wall and shot himself back towards her landing on his hands right in front of her and pushing himself back up aiming a kick at her face, but hit only air as he felt her foot colliding with his head sending him into the wall once more leaving and indentation. Getting a feeling of Deja Vu, Harm quickly began to dodge the multiple punches and kicks the white mage aimed towards him trying once more to break his bones like she had during their first encounter. He was barely able to dodge the blows and they were so fast that the force of them missing was still hurting him. Putting his back all the way to the wall Harm tried to use his feet to push the mage away so he could think but she just grabbed his legs and swinging him over her head slammed him face first into the floor. 'Broken nose.' Harm thought as flipped back up and swung the point of the sigh at Elvira's shoulder, but she took his arm and swung him into the wall. 'Broken ribs.' Harm thought, 'This is really starting to get annoying considering I've yet to hit her. Guess now's the time to try something new.'

Harm now knew better than to use the magic aura against the mage, but the weapons could still be useful if he was able to utilize them correctly. Harm turned both weapons into swords and slammed the handles together making one long weapon with a blade on each side and the handle in the middle. The white mage cocked her head and smirked at Harm's new use of the weapon and now had to be on the defensive as she dodged Harm's attacks. Harm made of point of having the swords constantly spinning and going in a sideway's "8" motion at the same time so the mage was in a constant state of dodging. Finally the mage got enough of dodging and jumped into the air over Harm moved his hands up to follow her keeping his spinning motion. Elvira landed a few feet away from Harm with her back turned to him. She slowly turned her head and looked down at her back. When she jumped Harm was finally able to get a hit in leaving a noticable gash on her back. Harm looked smirking as he saw the blood on the points of his sword.

The mage slowly turned to Harm as her hands began to glow white as his sighs now had the ability to. She then fired multiple energy balls in Harm's direction. Harm immediatly separated the swords and putting them into an "X" blocked the first energy blast, but the force of it sent him careening into the wall leaving an even bigger dent in the wall that when he'd been thrown into it before, breaking some bones upon impact. 'Okay...I can't do that again.' Harm thought as he saw more energy balls coming in his direction. All Harm could do was jump and dodge out of their way while trying to get closer to Elvira to cut them off at the source...but he was having some serious problems with the second part of that plan. Harm began to twist as he flipped out of the blasts' way so he could keep up his momentum. Changing one of the swords into a sigh, while Harm was spinning in midair he threw the sigh at the mage's head. While Elvira simply moved her head to dodge the sigh, her onslaught of energy stopped. Harm then looked up and saw why. Floating above he white mage were countless energy beams.

"Oooooh $#!+!!!" Harm exclaimed before he did his best to dodge all of the energy beams. But he was unable to get them all as they began to disentegrate him as each one hit. As Harm hit the wall from the force of the blasts he felt all he could see was the white light of the energy consuming him, and all he could hear was his own screams of pain as he felt the energy tear through him. Before Harm knew what was going on, he was sitting down on the floor like nothing had ever happened. "Oh come on don't tell me that was a dream or some kind of illusion?" "It was no dream, I beat the living crap out of you. I just made sure that you were healed before the energy blasted away any of your vital organs." Elvira stated as she helped Harm up. "There...there was no possible way I could have stopped or dodged or even ran away from all those." Elvira then looked at her nails. "Of course there was. You just aren't staying long enough to learn it." While the mage's words came out as a joke there was no smile on her face.

Harm smiled slightly. "I thought you said there weren't going to be anymore lessons." Elvira gave Harm a look that made him shiver slightly. "That wasn't a lesson. I was merely showing you the power that could be yours if you stayed and learned." Harm's smile returned. "Elvira, if I didn't know any better I'd think that you were going to miss me." The white mage crossed her arms and glared at Harm. "*sighs* There's nothing I can say to get you to stay. I know that. I agree, you're completely different from the others. Don't let anyone tell you different. But you will regret leaving here." Before Harm could reply the white mage faded as her ninjas had done on numerous occasions.

Harm sighed. "When that time comes, I promise to come back here so you can say 'I told you so' okay?" He said knowing that even though he couldn't see the mage, she was still listening. "Goodbye. And thanks." Harm said, giving one last look at the house before activating the glide capabilities in his cape which had been completly restored as well as holsters on his thighs for the sighs. Using his cape Harm proved it was a lot easier to get down the mountain than it was going up as he reached his car in a matter of minutes and started on his way back home.

Marx - July 16, 2004 10:19 PM (GMT)
After two weeks of traveling Will found himself outside of the Elias School. He looked up at the school and sighed, considering he wasn't a grapling hook person getting to the windows was going to be difficult. Will then shrugged as he looked at the door, it'd be a lot easier to just sneak in through the front door. Will could still be stealthy. He was quite proud of himself as he found himself standing outside one of the doors.

It was pretty late so Will didn't have to worry too much about getting caught. It seemed like everyone else was asleep. Will knocked on the door a couple of times before someone finally answered. He was a little nervous, he'd been gone for a little over a month and he wasn't sure how she'd react. But to his suprise it was Cissie who answered the door. "Um..hi...is...Greta awake?" He was kinda suprised he didn't ask for Cassie, but he hadn't even told Greta he was leaving. If that wasn't a reason to talk to her he didn't know what was.

atlantis - July 25, 2004 08:12 AM (GMT)
Cissie awoke with the sound of knocking. She groaned and rolled out of bed, looking at the clock she saw the time read 2:34 AM.
Stumbling to the door she wrapped her pink dressing gown around her person.

Opening the door she blurrily saw a person larger than she’d expected. A guy. Will.
"Um..hi...is...Greta awake?"
She took an involuntary step back, in truth he still scared her.

“Do you know what time it is??” she whispered looking up and down the hall. “What if you get caught huh??” He looked exhausted, like he’d travelled all day and only just got back.
Will sighed, all he wanted was to see his sister. “I won’t.” He held his ground, his eyes looking straight into Cissie’s
She looked away, unable to match his gaze. “Get in here!” She pulled him inside. “Greta’s through there, she might be sleeping still.”
As Will walked towards the poster covered door Cissie reached out and grabbed his arm. “Will….Don’t make her cry.”

Will continued to his sister’s room. ‘Just let Cissie think what she wants. Its not like we were ever friends anyway.’ He thought as he knocked twice, entering after the silence.
“Greta? Hey Gretel?” Will whispered as he roused her.
“mmm? Who was at the do…WILL!!” Greta’s eyes flew open. She sprang up and hugged him. “Where have you been?! Why didn’t you tell me you were going?!” She sighed, looking at him while she composed herself. “You’re the only family I have left Will, don’t scare me like that.”

Marx - July 27, 2004 03:16 PM (GMT)
Will was slightly suprised by Greta's sudden questions. He always had a bad habit of saying what was on his mind and for once was glad that the White Mage's training taught him to hold back that habit. He wasn't the only family she had, there was still their mother, but they had to leave her on Apokalips and if he had said that thought outloud, he probably would have made Greta cry in his first sentence. As Will returned Greta's embrace he realized how much he'd missed her too. "I'm sorry sis. I just...needed to go as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure by now you know what...well...that the last couple of weeks have been kinda...complicated..."

It was obvious Will was carefully choosing his words. He'd wanted to see Greta, but now that he had he wasn't too sure what to say. He'd actually told all of his close friends that he was leaving except for her, not on purpose, that's just how it happened. "But I'm not going anywhere now. I found what I was looking for. I promise that if I ever have to leave again, you'll be one of the first people to know." Will then gave his sister a warm smile. It was odd, this was the first time he'd seen her since he'd given up his powers. He didn't even know how she felt about the whole deal. "Exactly...how much do you know about what happened?"

atlantis - September 15, 2004 10:20 PM (GMT)
As he spoke Greta could tell he was choosing his words carefully, something he never used to do.
And that wasn’t the only thing to have changed about him, she didn’t need Duo’s soul reading ability to tell that he would be able to keep his temper with more ease and maybe he’d even be able to open up more. It was like the darkness had been extracted from him…well, most of it anyway.

"Exactly...how much do you know about what happened?"

“Not all that much, I know what happened but that’s it.” Thinking her sentence over she explained. “I mean I don’t know details, I know basically why you left but I don’t think Cassie knew how much you wanted me to know.” She smiled lightly, about to recap on what she was told.

“A little after you left, well, right after I think, Cassie came and explained a lot of stuff you’d been going through.” Greta started, crossing her legs under her cover while looking at Will. “I wish you’d told me first, before you left, but I guess I understand why you wanted to leave right away.
She said you got rid of your powers somehow, she was hazy on the details though, said if I wanted to know that I should ask when you came back.”
She looked meaningfully at Will. “She also said that you two were attacked by someone you had a strange affinity with and you had to use your power to get rid of them. But seeing as you just gave your powers up it worked out that you directly called the demon itself, sending your attacker to hell. Well, that’s pretty much all I know.” She yawned while she stretched out.
“She also said you broke up ”

Marx - September 16, 2004 12:39 AM (GMT)
Will sat down on the side of the bed as Greta talked to him. His eyes lowered slightly as he began to reminisce of what happened while Greta told him what she knew. Even though Cassie had been on his mind just about nonstop since he left, oddly enough he didn't think about how they were technically still broken up. He wasn't quite sure how she'd react when he did eventually talk to her, but then Will's mind snapped back to Greta.

"Um...I don't think you really want to know the specifics of how I lost my powers. It wasn't..." A flash of the pain, and the sensation of the blood from his eyes going down his face flashed across his mind. "....something you'd want to picture...but you're right, I should have come to you. It's just...I've caused you so much grief, I worry sometimes about causing you more. I'm still getting used to the concept of having people I can talk to again. I know we haven't really hung out even though I told you we would. You and Cassie both mean a lot to me, I promise you I'll make time for both of you okay?" Will turned back to Greta and smiled. "I missed you Gretel."

atlantis - September 17, 2004 02:19 PM (GMT)
The look on Wills face as he thought back on the loss of his powers told Greta she really didn’t want to know what had happened, maybe Cassie was right not to go into details.
“Hey, don’t worry about me, I want you be able to tell me things, its ok if you cause me grief, at least then I can help you if you need it.” Greta smiled, waiting for an opportunity to say Twinkie. It always made him blush. Greta gasped slightly as the door opened. She smiled slightly; there would be no reason to call him Twinkie now.

“Greta?? Hey Greta?? Are you awake? I’m sleeping in here tonight ok? Cissies in the room with Duo and I just had to sneak along the corridor covered in monster ooze.” Cassie said as she snuck into the room, slowly closing the door with her back to the room. “Ugh they creep me out! I just need to change, luckily the hot water was still on. There’s nothing like a hot shower after a figh…” She had turned to see Greta and the dark haired boy on the bed. She paused for a second, seemingly trying to verify the appearance of her…boyfriend? Ex-Boyfriend?
“Will!! Ohmigod HI!! When did you get back?!” She said ecstatically, pulling her towel, the only thing she was wearing closer to her. ”I’m so naked to see you!!..... I MEAN HAPPY!! Happy to see you!”
She could feel herself blush, and she was pretty sure it wasn’t just on her face.

Marx - September 18, 2004 07:37 PM (GMT)
While Will was waiting for Greta to call him Twinkie, not that it would have stopped him from blushing, his attention immediatly turned to the sudden sound at the door to see Cassie. The one who drove him the most during his intense training. The mere shock of her sudden appearance made him stare at her awhile before he could start to talk, and that was before he realized she was only wearing a towel. "Cassie...I'm so glad to see you naked!" Will's eyes suddenly went wide as he covered his face with his hands. "I meant! I'm glad to see you. Not see you naked. Just glad to see you. Not that I wouldn't mind...oh geeze I sound like Marx." The mild silence was broken as Will turned back because of a thump he heard behind him, and it turned out to be Greta hitting the floor in a fit of laughter. "Oh sure. Laugh it up Gretelllllllllllll!" Turning back Will saw that Cassie wasn't in the doorway anymore, probably getting into something a little less distracting than a towel.

Shortly Cassie appeared fully clothed back in the doorway still blushing slightly. Will wanted to hug her right then and there, but he wasn't really sure where their relationship stood at the moment. So he merely stood up and walked up to her probably blushing more than she was, making it hard to believe that this was the same guy who was once the Titan's enemy. Nervously laughing a little Will finally spoke up again. "How about...we try this again....um...Hi Cass."

atlantis - November 8, 2004 07:16 PM (GMT)
As Will turned to silence his laughing sister Cassie quickly made her escape back out of the room. She clutched her hand to her chest and gulped air like a fish from water.
How embarrassing!! He always seemed to catch her at the wrong moment! Not that she didn’t love seeing him, she thought furiously as she threw on her jeans and slipped a long sleeved top on.
Her hair was still damp and bedraggled; there wasn’t time to scurry for a hairbrush in the dark though, she simply platted it out of the way as her mind ran through a million things she disregarded saying.

Slipping back into the room she knew she was blushing like it was their first date again. Cassie held up a hand and attempted to say hello back but instead it came out as a pitiful squeak, after clearing her throat she tried again successfully.
“Hey Will, Long time no see.”

Of all the greetings she could have given that one wasn’t the most personal, After all it had been about a month since she last saw him and that had been after a break-up, a fight without superpowers and more recently a slight amount of almost nudity on Cassie’s part. To tell the truth she wasn’t sure if they were still going together or not.

Greta cleared her throat. “Yeah, Its good seeing you Will, I should..really…go..make sure Cassie turned the water off!!” She mumbled as she slid from the bed, planning on giving the two a chance to talk. “Come by again soon kay.” She smiled as she slipped past Cassie and out the room.

Cassie slipped her hands in her back pockets and tilted her head to the side. “So…how was it?” She smiled. “Did you miss me?”

Marx - November 8, 2004 09:19 PM (GMT)
Harm's eyes went wide as he heard the second question. Walking up to Cassie, he followed his instinct and softly touched Cassie's cheek. "Did I miss you? Cass, I never stopped thinking about you." You could tell in Will's voice how much he wanted to be with Cassie, how much he needed her and just wanted to pretend that the break up had never happened. But he was able to quickly gain control of himself. Will then cast a warm smile onto the young amazon. "You...helped me get through the hard times. And boy were there hard times." Will finished showing some of his weariness before he answered her other question.

Lifting his shirt slightly, Will pulled the two sais out of they're sheath. "It was worth it though, I found what I was looking for. I discovered a White Mage who lived in the mountains of Tibet no less." Will commented, adding a slight laugh at the end of the sentence, it was still hard to believe how much of a stereotype that was. Showing Cassie that they weren't normal sai, Will flipped them once turning them into swords and concentrated slightly adding the white aura around them. "Taught me a few new techniques." Will said confidently, showing off his new abilities. In the dark room, the glow emanating from the swords lit up the room, the light reflecting off of Cassie's still wet hair. Though Cassie might not have realized it, the way the light shone off her face gave her the appearance of an angel which actually temporarily took Will's breath away, fracturing his concentration making the swords' aura dissipate.

Saying that she was on his mind the entire time he was gone was almost an understatement. She was the sole reason he didn't stay and finish his training with Elvira. As Will stared into Cassie's eyes, he knew what he wanted to ask her, but he wasn't sure if he even had the right to ask it anymore. It was obvious by the look on his face that he was deeply pondering something before he broke the silence with a sigh, the two swords turning back into the sais they previously were. "Cass? I know I've caused you a lot of grief...and some pain. But...I meant it when I said I loved you...I still do...with all my heart. Do you...think you could give me...give us...another chance?" While before this sentence Will had been speaking slightly lower than normal when he wasn't showing off, his voice was considerably more timid with that last one. His hazel eyes lowered to the carpet as he nervously waited for Cassie's response.

atlantis - February 13, 2005 12:36 AM (GMT)
She looked at him and gave a gentle sigh before shaking her head, looking away and pushing him slightly at his abs. “Silly boy.” She looked at him affectionately “Do you not think you should have focused on the training instead of thinking about me?” She couldn’t pretend that she wasn’t actually y the happiest person to hear that she was on someone’s mind for a whole month, Wills mind. Because he was on hers all the time too, wondering if he was ok, not knowing if he was alive or dead! Or more importantly, how their relationship stood…

Cassie was showing her beautiful smile off as she pulled him closer by his shirt “Its funny, you know. It seems like the world just stopped for a whole month, nothing happened, no adventures, no fun but worst of all, no you.” She was really close to him now, and in the darkened room she couldn’t help think that although he could be very strong he was also really fragile. And she wanted to be the one to look after him.

Slipping her hands around his waist she lent against him and smiled up at Will. “I’ve had a while to think about this, and, I might have over reacted a little.” She held him closer, leaning her head on his chest. “I want to try again, being without you, it just doesn’t work, it doesn’t feel right. I need you.”
She returned her gaze on him, her cheeks flushed. “Besides, I love you infinity.”

Marx - February 13, 2005 05:47 AM (GMT)
Will began finding it harder and harder to breathe as Cassie continued to get closer and closer to him. It was just reminding him so much of everything he missed. Her voice, the smell of her hair, the way he'd feel when she'd smile at him, everything. Inside part of him was expecting her to be mad at him when he returned. Afterall he just kind of left her standing there alone after they'd just finished fighting a super villain no less, but he felt that he had to. That was when he heard it. Heard. It. Not only did Cassie say she'd take him back, but she seemed to need him as much as he did with her.

He'd been fighting the urge since he first saw her there, and finally couldn't fight it any longer. Moving so fast you'd think that he had his powers back Will wrapped his arms around Cassie and found himself pressing his lips against hers. It seemed like forever since Will had been able to kiss her, though it had actually been awhile. The last time being right before they fought against the Billy version of Secret. Finally opening his eyes and pulling away from the kiss, Will could feel his cheeks burning as he realized how...eager he was being.

"...sorry about that." He said looking away slightly, but as he looked into Cassie's eyes he could see that she didn't seem to mind in the slightest. Softly, Will put his hand on her cheek. "And using infinity is so cheating." Giving her a warm smile, Will's exhaustion began to take it's toll. Besides the slight sleeping he did during his training, he'd only been sleeping in the PM. While he loved that car and all, a comfy bed it was not.

Harm had been known for being an uber badass but you wouldn't have been able to tell by huge smile on his face. "Um...I should go...it is kinda late..." He said as he began to back up out of the room not wanting to take his eyes off of his girlfriend, yes, his girlfriend, almost tripping over the doorway. He found himself laughing as he saw Cassie hold out her thumb and pinky, putting it to her ear as she mouthed the words "Call me" similar to how Will did on their first date...well first official date anyway. "I will." After almost tripping again, Will finally decided to look where he was going as he left.

Eventually making his way to the PM trying to avoid skipping, he stealthily left the school. Will had made a lot of life altering decisions lately, but this one just seemed right. He'd told Duo before that in her core she was a good person, without his connections he could now find out just who he was in his core. Yes, he knew he made the right decision, and knowing what he knows now if he was forced to he'd do it all over again.
