Title: Teen Titans/Ultimate X-Men Crossover
Description: Next Teen Titans storyline

Robin - July 27, 2004 02:21 AM (GMT)
As we discussed earlier, our next TEEN TITANS storyline may be a crossover with Marvel's the Ultimate X-Men.

While on battling against a villian (still undecided) the Titans are transported into an alternate dimension where they find themselves face to face with another group of super-powered teens.

The players who wish to be involved have agreed to play a temporary NPC X-Man for this story. As said before, once this story is over we shall NOT be using these characters again. Just a freindly reminder. Below are the X-Men characters who are up for play.

Now as stated before, players who don't wish to be involved do not have to be.

Questions? Suggestions?

Is everyone still interested?

Marx - July 27, 2004 11:57 AM (GMT)
I know I'm still interested.

Stepi01 - July 27, 2004 05:25 PM (GMT)
I'm still in, ready and waiting.

deathfromwithin - July 28, 2004 01:55 AM (GMT)
same herre...i'm good to go.. ::supes::

NutiketAiel - August 2, 2004 07:56 AM (GMT)
Well, I know almost nothing about the X-Men and less than nothing about the "Ultimate X-Men," or else I'd offer to help out by playing one of them. Although, I could play Prof. X, Angel or Storm if needed provided someone would be so kind as to brief me on how their "Ultimate" characters differ from the regular versions.

I also have no characters in the Teen Titans, so I won't be playing a PC.

However, I would be perfectly willing to help out by playing the Villain, if needed.

Let's see... villain with the power to send people to alternate dimensions...

Could it be... the Time Trapper?

And before you say anything, Alan, I'm serious; Time Trapper would be a great villain for this story, in my humble opinion. I'm sure, of course, that you have someone else in mind, but the offer still stands. :D

Robin - August 2, 2004 07:59 AM (GMT)
No because Time Trapper is NOT involved in the story. The villian is going to be someone from the Ultimate X-Men universe. Time Trapper has absolutely nothing to do with the story.

Jim, please don't take this the wrong way, but could ya PLEASE drop the Time Trapper thing. It was funny the first time, but now its getting wee bit old. :(

NutiketAiel - August 2, 2004 08:03 AM (GMT)
Wow. Looks like you replied before I was even able to edit my post.

As I said, I wasn't kidding around; however much I may joke about him normally, Time Trapper is still a pretty decent villain. You don't want him, fine, but know that I wasn't trying to joke around by suggesting him; I was offering what I thought to be a legitimate idea.

Robin - August 2, 2004 08:05 AM (GMT)
I appreciate that, but when you always offer Time Trapper for every single story (whether joking or no), its hard to take serious after a bit and it does start to grow weary.

NutiketAiel - August 2, 2004 08:09 AM (GMT)
This is true. Very well, from now on I will only offer Time Trapper as a villain when I am being serious about it, which means in stories in which he/she/it would fit (i.e., time travel, time anomoly, alternate universe and alternate version stories), and not even all the time then.

Fair?

Robin - August 2, 2004 08:11 AM (GMT)
I suppose, but keep in mind most player already have their villian thought out when they come up with stories ideas involving time travel, time anomoly, alternate universe and alternate version stories. So... well, you see where I'm going. ^_^

NutiketAiel - August 2, 2004 08:21 AM (GMT)
This is also true. Therefore, I will most likely only be posting such a suggestion for stories involving time travel, time anomoly, alternate universe and alternate versions that specifically state they are still deciding on a villain.

Like, to pull an example from the air, this one. ;)

Element - August 12, 2004 09:53 PM (GMT)
I'm not a Teen Titan so I could be part of the X-Men. I could be any character.

Robin - August 12, 2004 10:23 PM (GMT)
Sure. Just choose one of the free characters who you are familar with. ^_^

Marvel-Shazam - August 13, 2004 11:34 AM (GMT)
I'd like to help and I'll play Angel for you.I like the Angel :D

Robin - August 14, 2004 01:28 AM (GMT)
Okay we got an Angel. Now if anyone wants to play Storm, Kitty or Rogue

Marvel-Shazam - August 14, 2004 01:40 AM (GMT)
When's the crossover start I'm so physched

Robin - August 14, 2004 01:47 AM (GMT)
This story will begin once the current Teen Titan/Young Justice Crossover 'A WORLD WITHOUT TEEN TITANS' is over.

Marx - August 14, 2004 07:14 PM (GMT)
Should we just go ahead and make Prof. X a NPC? I doubt anyone's going to be him since he probably wouldn't be too active in the story.

Robin - August 14, 2004 08:17 PM (GMT)
Good idea Marx. The Prof, as cool as he is, probably won't be choosen. NPC he is.

atlantis - September 1, 2004 08:11 PM (GMT)
Kye and I are interested in playing Rogue and Shadowcat but seeing as we're not up on the comics all that we were wondering if Xmen Evolution style would be ok?

Because we know how hardcore some of you guys are we don't want to miss represent your charaters :lol:2 So if its an issue we'll step out. ;)2

True Believer - September 1, 2004 09:47 PM (GMT)
I think is okay, Lani. I mean I'm playing Iceman, but the only Iceman I know is the one from the "X-Men" movies. Hopefully people won't get mad at me; :'(

Robin - September 1, 2004 10:00 PM (GMT)
Yeah that's fine. The characters in ULTIMATE X-MEN are somewhat similar to the X-MEN: EVOLUTION.

Rogue is slightly goth, with an off and on again relationship with Iceman. She's not intersted in Cyclops though.

Kitty is still the same smart, bubbly, and slightly clumsy girl she was in Evolution and once upon a time the old X-Men comics.

Iceman is a joker and skirt chaser, but still similar to how he was in the movie.

So who's got Rogue and who has kitty?

atlantis - September 1, 2004 10:15 PM (GMT)
Awesome, i have the first 20 or something Ultimate Xmen.....Till they stopped it at the store i was getting them from... :umm: <_<

lol, Who do you think would be who??

Robin - September 1, 2004 10:44 PM (GMT)
Well, juding on the characters you two normally play, I would say Lani is Kitty and Kye is Rogue.

But how do I know you aren't switching things around... hmmm? :o

Shinigami - September 1, 2004 10:46 PM (GMT)
Fine fine, I'll put you out of your misery! :D U got it in one Alan!

atlantis - September 1, 2004 10:56 PM (GMT)
.....Damn....My mysterious mystery ways have become less mysterious.

Curses on my hyper perkyness!! <_< or rather my smart, bubbly, and slightly clumsy girlyness!! :thatguy:

Well done Alan!! you win a Bat-frisbee!! ::bat::

Robin - September 1, 2004 11:07 PM (GMT)
yay! Frisbee fun of the bat-kind!

Robin - September 1, 2004 11:09 PM (GMT)
Now all we need is a Cyclops and Storm.

atlantis - September 2, 2004 12:11 AM (GMT)
I could have been all evil and given you a Super frisbee ::supes:: but it would create Nick Furys of all of us.

Well, there are only 3 girls pretty much on the site, you may not get a storm.
But Cyclops suprises me.....

Robin - September 2, 2004 04:34 AM (GMT)
Too true... okay, if no one takes claim to Storm we can either turn her into an NPC or say that she went on 'vacation' to recover from witnessing her boyfriend Hank 'Beast' McCoy getting killed.

As for Cyclops, well he'll either become an NPC or something like that.

Robin - September 2, 2004 03:51 PM (GMT)
BTW: When A WORLD WITHOUT TEEN TITANS is over, the players who have characters in YOUNG JUSTICE can probably start a new storyline for that team. After all, the teams will now be offically split, and the X-Men story is pretty much aimed at Teen Titans.

NutiketAiel - September 2, 2004 10:17 PM (GMT)
Well, I haven't really read any X-Men comics more recent than the Secret Wars, unless you count a couple of crossovers like the Infinity Gauntlet/War/Crusade or when one or another of them made an appearance in Spider-man or something.

However, Cyclops was one of the only X-Men I ever really liked. And I did see the movies.

If Cyclop's personality in this Ultimate X-Men is anything like it was in the movies, I'll play your scott for you if you like.

-Jim

Robin - September 2, 2004 10:36 PM (GMT)
I thought you hated X-Men, Jim? I still recall that anti-X-Men rant you had a few months back saying how against this story you were and how you didn't want to be involved the story.

Ultimate Cyclops is somewhat similar to Movie Cyclops. Yes, he's anal-retentive, bossy, dead serious during a mission and was once very shy around Marvel Girl before they offically got together (after Jean broke up with Wolverine).

But Ultimate Universe, Cyclops is a bit more of a bad-ass. He has no probelm blowing the hell out of Wolverine with his optic blast for being a jerk, had swears like a sailor when pissed off and he openly flirts with Jean Grey (he once called her honey-bunny if you believe that. )

Also, he isn't as emotionally fragile as he is in the old school comics. More confident both inside and outside of the team.

NutiketAiel - September 2, 2004 10:45 PM (GMT)
I did hate the comics, but I thought the movies were quite well done, and from what I've been reading in the last few posts this "Ultimate" universe seems closer to that than to the comics from before.

My major objections were predicated on the fact that I loath crossovers and think that they can be the start of a slippery slope, but you convinced me otherwise with the power of your arguements. Yay Alan!

This sounds like fun, believe it or not. My basic objections to crossovers still remain, but you convinced me to at least give it a chance. After all, everything deserves a chance.

So, please put me down for Cyclops.

And if I could ask, maybe you could drop me a short PM with anything in particuliar you think I need to know about this that I might not allready?

Oh, quick question- just how old are the characters?

Robin - September 2, 2004 10:53 PM (GMT)
I promise you Marvel Crossovers aren't going to be a constant occurance.

All right, we've got Cyclops folks.

As for more information on the Ultimate crew, I posted their bios on the first post of this thread next to their micro-hero image. It explains their history up to this point.

As for ages...

ANGEL - 17
COLOSSUS - 21
CYCLOPS - 20
ICEMAN - 16
MARVEL GIRL - 19
NIGHTCRAWLER - 18
PROFESSOR X - 33
ROGUE - 17
SHADOWCAT - 14
STORM - 18
WOLVERINE - unknown
GAMBIT - 19

atlantis - September 3, 2004 07:17 AM (GMT)
I'm 14?
Oh damn, that sucked the first time round. :umm:

Robin - September 3, 2004 07:37 PM (GMT)
But Kitty is always the youngest X-Man.

Besides, you get to walk through walls and cause electronics to fry. Fun had by all. :)

deathfromwithin - September 3, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
i'm 19 sweet cuz i'm 19 now so it can't be that hard huh....well maybe the accent will be hard but oh well....hey alan were did u find there age's at?

Robin - September 3, 2004 09:52 PM (GMT)
Gambit's accent isn't as thick as it normally is in the primary comics. At least they don't play on it as much in Ultimate X-Men.

The ages I got from reading the comic and then making a few caculated guesses on their actions and what they say.

Such as one time Colosuss said to Beast, "Why does he (Cyclops) always have to boss us around? Do you realize he's a year younger than both of us?"

atlantis - September 4, 2004 09:56 AM (GMT)
MWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!
No electronical item shall be safe from...... The Shadowcat!! *Holds up Pashmina like a cape so only her eyes are visable* Or Boys locker room for that matter ;)
