Title: DC vs. Marvel pt. 5

Marx - August 31, 2004 07:42 PM (GMT)
Marvel-1 DC-2

Personally I didn't agree with this match either. Though I did when I first read it because I had no idea who Captain Marvel was at the time lol, but now that I do, I demand a recount!

I vote Thor. A Guy who is a God vs. a Guy empowered by Gods. I figured the God'd win.

Marx - August 31, 2004 08:08 PM (GMT)
I'm thinking it'll be a pretty even fight, but I'm actually leaning more towards Cap, y'know....as long as he doesn't depower in the middle of the fight again. *pimp slaps Captain Marvel* GENIUS!

True Believer - August 31, 2004 08:20 PM (GMT)
Solomon's wisdom, Hercules' Strength, Atlas' Stamina, Zeus' Power, Achilles' Courage, Mercury's Speed. Sorry, bro. Can't see Thor winning this one. But if it makes it better after Billy kicks his arse he'd apologize and offer the God of Thunder some Milk and cookies while they watch saturday morning cartoons. :D Thor didn't hold his own against Super and Marvel more than once kicked Super's ass. But that's me. I could be wrong 'n I usually am.

Robin - August 31, 2004 08:27 PM (GMT)
I'm going with Thor. Recent Thor was made king of the gods after his father 'died' and his power has been majorly boosted as a result. And as Matt said, he is a God, while Billy is only a mortal with abilities blessed to him by a Wizard.

And well... God beats wizard.

atlantis - August 31, 2004 08:27 PM (GMT)
Um...Thor had animation.....

Marx - August 31, 2004 08:40 PM (GMT)
LOL! Very good reason. :D I'm standing by my vote I guess because Cap has the powers of multiple gods.

Robin - August 31, 2004 09:15 PM (GMT)
Right, but he isn't an actual god. He just has protions of their powers.

Marx - August 31, 2004 09:18 PM (GMT)
See I've always wondered about that, is it actual portions of the gods' powers or does he control how much he can take? Of course we're assuming CM3 isn't powered up.

Marvel-Shazam - September 2, 2004 11:02 AM (GMT)
As Alan pointed out Thor now has a major power-boost making him the All-Father.Killing Marvel in about 24 minutes

Robin - September 2, 2004 03:46 PM (GMT)
No Captain Marvel is limited in how much god powers he gets. If he had the complete powers of those god, the Billy wouldn't be called the World's Mighties MORTAL. He'd be call a demi-god if not an actual god.

His powers give him apsects of the Solomon's wisdom, Hercules' Strength, Atlas' Stamina, Zeus' Power, Achilles' Courage, Mercury's Speed, etc...

They make him as strong, fast and powerful as those people, but not completely. If he had the full powers of a god, he'd be faster and stronger than Superman.

Billy is far better than normal mortals, but he isn't undefeatable. Thor now with his 'king-like' godhood, that's changing the playing field somewhat.

Marx - September 14, 2004 10:21 PM (GMT)
And despite the coolness of Thor's animation and his total godhood, Captain Marvel still pulls in the victory, HO YEAH!
