I haven't kept with all the recent things thats been goin on in DC universe until recently and I just like to know what the heck happens with Azarel. I stopped after the first three Azarel comics and my friends who own a comic book store tell me that he's in comic limbo right now.

Well, he was really popular durring No Man's Land and he still has his own comic, though I can't seem to find it anywhere other than online, but for the most part I think they're right.
I haven't seen him lately anyway, comic-wise.

Azael's comic book was cancelled roughly a year or two after No Man's Land ended. Towards the end of his series, he was losing readers and wasn't making as much money as it used to. The character Jean-Paul is believed to be dead by the DCU at the end of the series, though his body was never found.
