Title: In The End pt. 2
Description: Just when you thought it was over.

Marx - September 19, 2004 10:52 PM (GMT)
Slowly a black and red car pulled up to an abandoned looking old house, as Will stepped out of it. Looking over the house Will was flooded with memories of his old life. His previous alter ego used to live here in what seemed like decades ago when in reality it was only a 2 or 3 years. After everything that had happened with Duo after he and a handful of her closest friends provided moral support for her when she wanted to see her grave, Will felt an urge to visit his old self. He wanted to ask Greta to come with him but after the things that happened on Apokalips right before, he felt that his sister needed some time to herself. This was the first time Will had been back here since he’d been killed, and as he looked on to the house he got the urge to just leave it be, leave the past in the past. But he was the one who felt the urge to come here, so he might as well see it through.

When Will finally got enough courage to walk to the front door he let out a sigh as he realized that the door was locked. It wasn’t so much that he was surprised by it, more that he was hoping he wouldn’t have to break into the house, though it’d be far from his first time doing it. As a matter of fact as he went around the back, he began to reminisce about one of the times he snuck in…right after he killed Greta.

As Harm stepped inside Greta’s room from her window, normally he’d go through his own window which was a bit more difficult instead of using Greta’s but that was hardly an issue now. As he looked towards the right to his wall, it was almost as if he was looking through the walls to the corpse he knew that was waiting for him a few rooms down. He still couldn’t believe that his sister, the one person who knew him better than anyone would choose death rather than be with him. Taking off all of the face paint and changing into normal clothes, Billy left the room and walked towards the bathroom. Greta’s death cry echoed through his head as he looked at her and unplugged the radio. Falling to his knees he stared into his sister’s eyes, which were still open in fear even though her body was merely a shell right now, her soul was stuck in the Abyss. Tears began to well up in his eyes as he glared down at her.

“It didn’t have to be this way you know. I know it was a shock, but you would have gotten over it eventually if you’d have just came with me. You wouldn’t have been gone permanently, I was trying to give you life. I didn’t kill you…you did.” Billy growled as he gritted his teeth and dropped his head. “BILLY! Would you please leave your sister alone when she’s in the bath! What are you…do..ing..?” Burt’s voice yelled from behind Billy but his voice began to soften as he took in exactly what he was seeing. Billy merely turned back to his father and met him with the same glare he’d been giving Greta before turning back to her. “What…what happened?” Burt stammered as he took small steps towards the two. Billy let out a loud sigh but stayed in his position. “Well…Greta’s in the bath. And there’s a radio in the bathtub. I think you can figure out the rest for yourself!” Billy snapped, which caught Burt off guard as much as the news itself. “What are you waiting for?! Are you going to call an ambulance or not!?” Billy yelled once more, turning his head at Burt before turning back to Greta and dropping his head again.

Even with Billy’s yelling it took it awhile to really connect in Burt’s head, this was all happening too fast, but eventually he was able to run downstairs and get the phone. But Billy knew that it was futile, she wasn’t in there any longer. He then felt a hand on his shoulder and shot a glare at it’s owner to see that it was Ellen, whose eyes were also on the tub. Billy sneered slightly as he felt his mother’s tears hitting his shoulder, but he refused to make eye contact with her. Even if he couldn’t hear her sobs or feel her tears he could sense the sorrow throughout the house, and he viciously rejected it all. All he felt was the anger at his sister, part of him was hoping that she could see all of this while she was in the Abyss, that it was torturing her. That she realized how stupid her decision was as she stared by herself into the black nothingness of the Abyss. Finally Billy got up and without looking at Ellen walked past her and waited outside for the ambulance to come, all the sorrow from his parents was really starting to annoy him.

It had been quite a few days since the family found out of they’re daughter’s death. And to make things even worse the body was accidentally cremated, though Billy had his doubts about that. Plus with the body gone there really wasn’t any way for her to come back besides as a spirit. As much as Billy hated Greta for betraying him, a small part of him was hoping she’d find her way back, but she really was gone. But the more Billy thought about it, the more pain, frustration and rage grew, each fighting for a position of prominence in Billy’s mind, twisting and overlapping onto each other until Billy felt he was going insane, though from his outward appearance you’d think he was just as calm and broody as ever. As Billy looked out of his sword, he wondered how he was going to react to Greta’s funeral tomorrow.

Marx - September 20, 2004 01:59 AM (GMT)
As Billy looked around at the various people gathered to mourn over Greta’s passing and couldn’t help but to hear the words that Buzz had spoken to him not so long ago. “…They're bugs. All of them, you're not simply above your friends, you're above them all.” As he saw how they pathetically wept over an urn of ashes couldn’t help but to make Billy feel superior than them all. It was quite obvious that his rage had won the emotional battle as Billy was the only one who seemed completely calm out of all the people in attendance. The only show of emotion on his face was anger that no matter how hard he tried to hide, still showed in his eyes. He had better things to do than to look at his mistake for hours while some guy he’s never even seen before talks about Greta like he’s known her all his life. But while Billy wasn’t a suspect of Greta’s death since it looked like an accident, he didn’t want to arise any suspicion on his part.

What annoyed Billy possibly moreso that the ceremony itself was the looks he was getting from everyone. He couldn’t stand getting pitied by people inferior to him. “Billy?” A female’s voice asked from Billy’s side, when he turned to see who asked, a huge sigh was heard from his voice as he recognized his guidance counselor. “Billy you don’t have to be like that. I just want to help. Hiding your emotions isn’t going to do you any good, it’s not healthy.” Billy merely narrowed his eyes at her and growled his reply. “Just because I choose not to cry my eyes out doesn’t mean I’m hiding my emotions. You’re the counselor, you should know people deal with grief in different ways.” By now she’d spoken to Billy quite a few times and was no longer surprised, though she hadn’t seen in awhile because of an…incident that happened with the two awhile back that involved Billy kissing her. “Anger is a stage of grief, but just remember Billy, it’s only a stage. I know what you’re going thr-” Billy interrupted her with his glare before he even started talking. “Through? You know what I’m going through? So you walked in a bathroom to see your sister dead in the tub?” While the counselor was used to Billy’s bluntness for the most part that still caught her off guard. “Billy…I…” Billy interrupted her again by holding up his hand. “Bye!” With a nod she got up and left Billy alone with that look on her face, that pity.

Billy dropped his head in annoyance as he could tell that Beth was now behind him. “What do you want Beth?” Beth took a few steps back since she didn’t even know Billy had seen her yet. “Billy, I just wanted to say that…I’m sorry. For everything.” This was the last straw, Billy was sick and tired of it. “Look Beth, how about you just take your little purse and run like Hell away from me like you normally do!” He was about to yell some more but his cell phone rang and the only ones who had his number weren’t human. Bumping Beth as he left the church Billy went outside to answer the phone. “WHAT?!” Billy then heard from the demon that had been working for him ever since he killed Buzz. “S-sorry to disturb you, I just wanted to tell you that I’m going to need at least three more days for the superhero database.” Billy took a deep breath as he gritted his teeth so hard the demon could probably hear it on the phone. “I’m going to say this once and once only. I’m going to give you one more day, just one. And if the Book of Blood is not done by then I’ll put you through so much pain that they’ll let you into Heaven out of pure pity! Do I make myself clear!?” “Y-yes sir. Right away sir.” As soon as Billy was satisfied with his answer he hung up the phone.

Will thought back to the Book of Blood. Besides his costume and his name, it was the only thing that he kept from when he was evil. He hadn’t realized it but as he was daydreaming about the past he’d walked from Greta’s old room and into the bathroom as he thought about it. It’d taken him up until now to realize that the anger he felt really was just a cover up for the pain he felt. He killed his sister but blamed the whole thing on her so he wouldn’t feel the guilt. Possibly one of the reasons him and Greta got along now was because he finally accepted that responsibility instead of running from it. As Will left the bathroom he turned to see his door, even he was slightly curious as to what would come to mind as he went inside.

Marx - September 21, 2004 01:47 AM (GMT)
Billy was no longer grounded after the funeral because his parents didn’t want to be cruel and Billy decided that if they were going to insist on pitying him he might as well take advantage of the situation and stay out as late as he wanted continuing his training. On his way home he was approached by three beings he quickly identified as demons slowly stalking behind him. Billy stopped suddenly without looking in they’re direction. “You do realize I know you’re following me right?” Billy growled beginning to go for his sword, which he always concealed on him when he left the house. “Hmph, you the one who killed Buzz?” One of the demons asked Billy, as he eventually turned to face them and laughed, giving them an evil grin. “Yeah. And?” It was quite obvious the demons didn’t appreciate Billy’s cockiness by they’re glares, but Billy’s smirk stayed on his face as he unsheathed his sword.

Later on as Billy walked in the house, he noticed that Burt was giving him a slight glare as he went into his room. He knew it was coming, it was just a matter or time. And like clockwork Burt knocked on Billy’s door. “Come in Father.” Billy said mockingly, letting Burt know that he was expected. Burt’s expression was stern, it seemed like since Greta’s death they’d been cutting Billy a lot more slack and it wasn’t sitting well with him. “First thing, you know we don’t like you coming in this late.” Burt’s eyes narrowed at Billy as he saw his reaction of the scolding by rolling his eyes and looking away. “And second, I don’t mean to be accusing you, but have you seen my knife?” Upon hearing the question, Billy immediately turned to face his father and took the knife with the dragon handle out of his back pocket, with a smirk on his face. “Knife? What knife?” Seeing the knife in Billy’s hands obviously hit a nerve as Burt exploded at Billy. “YOU LISTEN HERE! WE’RE TRYING TO BE VERY UNDERSTANDING BUT I WILL NOT TOLERATE STEALING, YOUNG MAN! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?”

The knife immediately went flying centimeters away from Burt’s face and imbedded itself into the wall. Before Burt could even get the shock that his son had just thrown a knife at him, Billy was already standing in front of his father with his sword drawn, which was still bloody from his early encounter with the demons. Billy’s smirk only got wider as he saw the look of absolute surprise and terror on his father’s face. “Here’s how this is going to go father. You’re going to get the hell out of my room and you won’t mention that knife unless I mention it first. Do YOU understand ME?” As Billy threatened his father he slowly rubbed the point of his sword against the scar that he’d previously put on his neck, tracing the wound and painting a trail of the demons’ blood on the scar. Burt began to slowly back up, not taking his eyes off of the sword which was thrusted towards his neck causing a very small puncture. “I didn’t hear an answer father.” Burt’s eyes gradually went from the bloody sword to Billy. “I-I understand…” Billy dropped the sword as soon as he heard what he wanted and continued his evil smirk as his father swiftly stumbled out of the room.

Billy let out an evil laugh as he heard the conversation between Burt and Ellen downstairs. “You know, you might have had a bit more credibility if you wouldn’t have washed that blood off before talking to her.” Billy said to Burt even though there was no way Burt could have heard him, or Ellen for that matter. His smile got wider as he heard Ellen’s response. “We just lost our only daughter…and you want us to get rid of our last remaining child because of the way he’s grieving…Burt…if you even try…sleeping on the couch will be the least of your worries!” At that point Billy stopped eavesdropping and turned his attention to the matter at hand. Looking at the pentagram that he’d scratched into the floor, Billy sat down in front of it and began to chant. As his chanting got louder the crevices where Billy had scratched the pentagram began to glow as his room got darker slightly resembling the room where he first got his connection to evil.

Finally a dark cloud came from the center of the pentagram and swirled around until it formed a makeshift human form. Billy bowed his head as the cloud was finished transforming and the eyes began to glow red looking down upon Billy. “Okay, since you called me, I’ll give you time to explain yourself. Why are you killing my agents?” There weren’t many things that scared Billy, but Satan’s voice was definitely one of them. “I-I’m sorry master. Buzz caught me at a…bad time. And those other three demons came to me looking to avenge Buzz. I killed them all relatively easily, so they obviously weren’t worthy to serve you considering that I’m pretty new to this.” As much as Billy tried to hide it, his ego was coming through as he talked. “Oh? But I think we both know you’re not an average amateur. I’ll let it go this time, don’t push it.” As soon as those words fell from Satan’s lips the room seemed to fill with Hellfire as the cloud returned from where it came and the glowing pentagram was once more just a scratch on the floor.

Billy began to smirk as he turned towards the doorway to see Ellen basically petrified in fear. Even he didn’t know exactly how long she’d been standing there, but one thing he knew was that she’d never open his door again without knocking. “Is there anything you want mother?” Billy asked sarcastically looking Ellen in the eyes, slowly adding a smirk to his expression. Billy watched as Ellen struggled before she could swallow and her jaw began to function enough for her to talk. But even then she didn’t say anything, she merely shook her head, and almost tripping made her way from Billy’s door. Billy then let out another laugh as he heard Burt’s reaction as he saw Ellen’s face. Peeking out the door, Billy looked Burt straight in the eyes enjoying the blend of fear and anger on his face before Burt slammed they’re bedroom door shut.

Marx - September 23, 2004 01:36 PM (GMT)
As Will walked out of his old room, he began to feel the guilt of the things that he did starting to weigh him down. This especially worried him considering he hadn’t gotten to the worst of the things he’d done yet. His parents only wanted to help him, but since he felt he was better than they were he never let them.

For once Billy didn’t feel like training today, so going downstairs he sat on the couch and changed the station disregarding what Burt was watching. After their encounter with their son’s darkness, neither one of them had said so much as a word to Billy which was just fine by him, as a matter of fact that’s what he wanted. When he was younger he might have been annoyed with the looks of fear and being by himself, but now he thrived on it and the one place that he wasn’t feared wasn’t a problem anymore. Ellen was watching the television next to Burt when Billy came down, but not being able to take the tension she suddenly got up and ran upstairs. Hearing her running, Billy looked back at Burt and gave him and evil grin before turning his head back to the TV, but wasn’t able to watch for long as Burt got up and stood between Billy and the television.

“Trust me father, when I say you want to move.” Billy growled, but his father stood his ground. “No Billy, I refuse to be scared in my own house. You’re our son, not the other way around.” Billy’s smirk left his face as he glared as his father, who’d apparently forgotten his place. In the blink of an eye, Billy had Burt pinned to the couch with the knife to his neck. “Father, I’d hate for mother to be a widow…” Billy put a slight bit more pressure onto Burt’s neck, not quite enough to make a wound but almost there. “…but it is something I’m willing to live with!” At first Burt’s expressions were as expected, totally surprise gradually going more towards fear, but as he looked into Billy’s eyes he calmed down. “What are you waiting for son? You know what I think? You talk a lot, you love seeing people fear you. But you’re the same person, I know you wouldn’t hurt me or anyone else.” Now it was Billy’s face that had surprise on it as steadily withdrew the knife from Burt’s neck. Then a grin came across Billy’s features that scared Burt more than the knife did. “So…what you’re saying is…if I do anything…it’ll be on your head.” Flipping the dragon knife, Billy put the knife back in his rear pocket. Slowly walking back up the stairs, Billy turned back and looked into his father’s eyes. “Sleep well father…while you can.”

In the same abandoned building that Billy and his friends used to practice at when they were Harm, Billy paces back and forth recalling his previous altercation with his father. “How dare he tell me what he thinks I’m capable of! He hasn’t the slightest idea what I can do! To think, I was actually allowing him to live! Well. Tell me. What do you think?” Billy then looked over to his hostage, who was gagged and tied up to a chair. He then walked over to the hostage, and looked her in the eyes. “Well? You’re the counselor.” Using the dragon shaped knife, Billy cut the gag off of his counselor allowing her to answer him. “BILLY! PLEASE! Just let me go! I know you’ve been through a lot but this isn’t going to help! Let me go, and I’ll get you some help, please.” But the counselor’s pleading was cut short as Billy put the knife to her throat. “Now now Miss Counselor. Didn’t any of your counseling training tell you that the last thing you tell a crazy client is that they need help, especially when they have a weapon? It’s a very important lesson.” The fear that Billy had seen on people’s faces was nothing compared to the sheer horror on hers. The difference. She didn’t have the slightest doubt in her mind that she was going to die.

“Billy. Please. You don’t have to do this.” The tears that were starting to stream down her face did nothing to stop Billy’s smirk or his motive. “No, I don’t have to. This is to prove a point. Now normally this is the point where I’d ask you if you had any final words. But you’re not going to be dying anytime soon. So I guess I should say do you have any final words before the excruciating pain starts?” While the counselor tried to force the tears to stop coming, it wasn’t working, so she fulfilled Billy’s request. “I…pity you.” Billy smirked as he pressed the blade of the knife against the counselor’s stomach. “Good. I can guarantee you won’t be pitying me in a few seconds.”

After finding out about the Counselor’s death, the police decided to pay William a visit considering that this had now been six deaths, and all of them were acquaintances of his. But there was no proof that Billy had done anything, especially since during the questioning both him and his father said that Billy was at home the night of the murder. It seemed like something was odd, but without any witnessnes, proof or the murder weapon there wasn’t a lot they could do. After the police left the house, Billy gave Burt and evil smirk as he threw Burt the bloody knife. “Here you go father. I won’t be needing this anymore. As I said before…sleep well.” The sinister laugh Billy let out as he went into his room would haunt Burt for the rest of his life.

Tears began to well up in Will’s eyes. It was hard to believe that he’d been that cruel. Even the torture he’d inflicted with Duo’s help on Bizarro and Solomon Grundy paled in comparison to the acts he inflicted on that woman. Thinking about it actually made Will sick, but he pressed on. The entire reason for this was to visit Billy, he knew what he was getting into. As the counselor’s screams of agony and the sounds of the blade cutting human flesh echoed in Will’s mind, he made his way to the kitchen.

Marx - September 27, 2004 06:59 PM (GMT)
As Will walked into the kitchen the first thing that caught his eye was the huge blood stains on the linoleum floor. His blood stains. Kneeling down, Will ran his fingers over the dried up blood and he wondered, considering how things are now, if it was actually a good thing that his father shot him. It was hard to say, it was a mixture of Cassie and Greta's influence that changed him, but if he had turned his head a fraction of a second earlier, he might had dodged the bullet and killed Burt, what then? Chances are he would have just kpet training, but without that death he never would have understood the true meaning behind his "immortality".

Billy fell on the floor fromt eht pain and the surprise of the first shot that his father fired. He listened to his father as he spewed what Billy guessed what his attempt at an apology for the murder he was about to commit. What surprised him even moreso than the fact that his father was about to kill him was what came out of his mouth before the end. "D...dad...don't..." He was actually pleading Burt for his life, after single handedly defeating all of the newly formed Young Justice Twice. This was so unfair. Right before it was all over the last thing Billy heard was "God...there's blood all over the linoleum...your mother's going to kill me..." The final shot resounded though Billy's head as he felt himself falling, darkness surrounding him. "THE LINOLEUM!? THE @%#&ING LINOLEUM!? The last thing I hear is him complaining about the linoleum!? You don't have to worry about mother killing you. I will find some way to do it, I promise you." Harm growled furiously as he finally stopped falling and felt slightly blinded by the brightness of the fire.

Looking around slightly suprised, Harm took in his surroundings. Everywhere he looked he either saw fire, brimstone, or...demons. Didn't take a rocket scientist to realize where he was. Though he alwasys figured Hell wouldn't reallyhave anyplace to walk around, this wasn't nearly as bad as he was expecting. Looking ahead he noticed that all the demons in front of him mobed to one side of him or the other, forming a path. 'Ok...I'll bite.' Harm thought as he walked through the path they made and found himself standing before a throne...a throne!? "Ok God." Harm whispered as the being sitting on the throne glared down in Harm's direction, harm instinctively fell to his knees and bowed. "You'd think out of all the possible places to say that name, you wouldn't say it here." Even though his voice was calm, you could still sense the violence, the hate, and the evil laced into every word. It made Harm realize how weak he really was. "I-I'm sorry master." Satans' eyes flared red with fire as his glare at Harm remained. "Funny, I rmember you apologizing to me like that a short while ago. I don't tolerate failure, you disappoint me Harm. I was expecting more frm you than to be killed by a mere human with a gun." Harm kept his hands to the ground which was burning him, but it was nothing compared to his master's glare. "I...got too cocky. I didn't think he was capable of doing that." Even though Harm was talking to Satan, his mind was mostly on his death. His teet gritted together as he thought of his father's betrayal, still thinking of how he'd get his revenge, which might hav actually saved him in the end.

Harm felt the hand of his master clenching around his neck as he was brought closer to the face of pure evil. "The I suggest...you watch your ego." Pain exploded thoughout Harm's body as he felt himself being thrown backwards, knowing that was only a fraction of his master's powers. He was thrown so hard he was getting delusional, at one point he could have sworn he saw an angel.

"Will thought back to that moment. "An angel in Hell? Could that have been D...? Naaaaaah."

As Harm hit a wall, and fell, he spat out the blood that was in his mouth onto the floor. But now that he was away from the master he could focus on what was really on his mind. He was supposed to be immortal and two shots could kill him? What was up with that? What was the point of all the sacrifices he gave? Harm punched the wall in frustration as a huge shadow loomed over him. As he turned to see whose shadow it was, he took a few steps back, when he recognized the demon. It was Preow, the sponsor that gave Harm his strength and speed. This made a lot more sense as Harm got a better look at the demon, Harm's eye level was only at the demon's shin. Slowly looking up, Harm made his way to Preow's face. "Hmph. Follow me." With that said Preow walked away. Narmally Harm didn't like being talked down to as much as he had been since he got there, but if he could take on Preow, then he wouldn't have needed him as a sponsor. Following the giant demon, Harm remained silent only curious of how something that big could move so fast, also wondering that if Preow was right here did that mean he didn't have his connection to him while he was in Hell.

"I've been watching you, Harm. And there's something I want to show you." Preow then looked down as the floor began to open up, and the first thing Harm heard were the screams of agony. So many, tht even he felt sorry for them, the pain and anguish he felt before he could even look into the opening was immeasurable. While he wanted to look away, he couldn't as he saw and heard the countless evi souls writhing and screaming in pain, it was so much Harm couldn't find himself able to find words that could describe it. Even as Preow began to talk, Harm couldn't take his eyes off of the suffering that made his earlier torture session with the counselor look like nothing. "I'm one of your sponsors. When you're this close to me, I can hear your very thoughts. And since you asked so nicely, I thought I'd show you wher you'd be if you really did upset the master. That's the part of Hell you should fear going to, though if you're up here, I personally enjoy looking down at them." Preow finally closed the opening and Harm's glance once more wnet to him as he finally spoke. "So...immortality means that I come here when I die?" Preow paused for a second before he answered. "Wow, you really are a smart one." The giant demon voiced sarcastically. "Your problem was that you confused immortality with invincibility. From here you can go back to that world as soon as you learn how. Though without an actual body, you'll only be a spectre, no one will be able to see you, but with practice you'll be able to possess the living."

Harm looked at the body which he now inhabited. He'd felt pain, and he'd bled when he was thrown against the wall, it was quite obvious that he was vulnerable here. "But...how would I get another body?" Though his head was pretty high up, Harm could still make out that an evil smirk was forming on the demon's face. "Let's put is this way. You have to be in the master's...good graces to even consider getting another body." Harm let out a sigh, he might have been spared, but after hsi failure he was far from being in the master's good graces. But then a thought crossed his mind. "Wait...you say that all immortals that are killed come here?" Preow's smile remained on his face as he heard the thought behind that question, before a voice was heard behind Harm. "Well well well. Look who we have here." Harm's eyes went wide as he turned, though he already knew who it was and thought he'd greet him. "Hello again, Buzz."

Marx - September 29, 2004 10:42 PM (GMT)
Buzz's dark features were made more visible as he stepped out of the shadows. "Why Billy, you don't seem too happy to see me." Harm sneered slightly at Buzz, and then returned his creeepy smile. "Well, I didn't think you'd be too happy to see me after the way I carved you up with your own sword." Harm didn't notice at the time, but as he and Buzz traded insults, barious demons were encircling them. Buzz let out a booming laugh. "You got me there boy. You did catch me offguard...kind of like your sweet sister did when she turned you down." Before the sentence was even finished, Harm had already started his assault and Buzz was thrown to the floor as Harm's fist collided with his face. Harm's smirk was gone and the only expression tht remained on his face was fury as he lifted Buzz by the neck. "You'd think you would have learned your lesson from the last time." Harm growled through his clenched teeth.

Buzz let out yet another laugh even though he could barely breathe because of Harm's grip. "Billy Billy Billy. You just don't seem to get it. Do you really think you're the first person I trained whose tried to kill me?" Harm tightened his grip. "No, nor do I think I'm the only one who succeeded. Let me guess. Whenever they challenged you here, you always won." Buzz then stopped attempting to pry Harm's hands off of his neck and began to applaud. "Didn't I tell you guys? He's a smart one." Without warning Buzz gave Harm a headbutt which allowed him to finally breathe again as Harm stumbled back a bit. Buzz then straightened up his shirt and cracked his neck before looking at Harm again. "The thing is, if you're smart enough to figure that out. Then why would you dare to challenge me on my home turf?" Harm's glare began to soften as his trademark smirk crossed his face once more. "If you're talking about these demons around us-" Buzz then held up his hand to stop Harm from going any further. "No no no. They'll stay out of it, most of them are too busy taking bets anyway. There's so little entertainment here after all." Harm gave a death glare to his former teacher. "I'm not here for your or their entertainment." Buzz merely scoffed at Harm's glare. "No. You're here cuz your Pappy shot you." Harm knew that Buzz was merely pressing his buttons to trick him into a fight he couldn't win. Buzz always seemed overconfident with no real reason to be, so there had to be something that Buzz knew that Harm didn't.

It then hit Harm that he didn't have a weapon. The sword was still in his room as were the sais, not to mention he didn't know if he could call on any of his demon sponsors' powers while he was in Hell. 'Guess he doesn't think I can take him down with my own abilities. Someone's obviously mistaken.' Harm thought as he launched himself at Buzz, flooring him once again with a crescent kick. Then, leaping into the air, went to land the fatal blow on Buzz's chest, but with surprising quickness Buzz dashed out of the way returning an elbow to Harm's temple that made him see stars. 'Ok...he wasn't that fast before. Or am I slower?'Harm thought as he got back up, a look of deturmination on his face as he took on Buzz once more. Not taking Buzz for granted this time, the two combatants matched each other move for move before Harm finally got in a shot that made Buzz familiar with the brimstone floor once more. "Don't give me that 'I taught you everything you know, but not everying I know' crap. What I do know is that you can't beat me." As Buzz coughed up his own blood, he looked into Harm's eyes. "Ha! And why is that exactly? Because you're invincible? You do know that every bad guy's downfall is not realizing that they can be defeated. That...and not knowing your opponent's full potential." As Buzz stood up again, he began to grow in size and change shape until he slightely resembled Preow in sheer size. "For example, you might have been a little less cocky if you'd know about my true demon form." As Buzz looked down at Harm, he ran his tongue over his fazor sharp teeth.

As Harm looked up at the demon he now had to fight one thought crossed his mind. 'I swear my ego's going to be the death of me...again.' Almost as if Buzz had heard the thought he gave a reply. "Having regrets? You should, considering that if you die here it's game over. You're in the pit. One last chance boy." Even though Buzz was giving Harm a chance to give up, he could sense the excitement in the demon's voice. He'd probably kill him if he gave up anyway, and giving up wasn't his style in the first place. Jumping up, Harm ran up Buzz's leg to try and launch a kick to the side of his face, but was backhand slapped down to the floor face first. "I was hoping you'd do that boy." As Harm looked up, all he saw was the shadow of Buzz's foot right before it smashed down on him. The demon let out a loud laugh as he drove his foot deeper and deeper into the ground, not trying to kill Harm, as much as crush every bone in his body. But Buzz was in for a surprise as he felt something in his mouth, specifically around his top two fangs. Before he could comprehend what was happening, Harm had already used all of his strength to rip out the two fangs. The demon howled in pain and surprise, wondering how the hell Harm had gotten from the floor to his mouth so quickly before his anger took over. Sensing what Buzz was about to do, Harm quickly jumped out of Buzz's mouth before he could be eaten and grabbing the two fangs by the root used them as swords to cut open Buzz as he fell to the ground.

Slowly Buzz's immense form fell backwards on the floor leaving a trail of blood from the huge gashes from his chest down. While Harm was looking angry as he looked at Buzz take his last breaths, in reality he was cared witless. That was the first time he'd ever successfully shdowported, and ending up in the demon's mouth was a total accident. He just went with his instincts and won the battle. Slowly turning around to see the shocked faces of the various demons, Harm gripped the two fangs and moved in a circle using one of the fangs to point at each demon. "Two things. One, the first demon who calls me a boy gets what Buzz just got. And two, can any of you mold one of these fangs into a sword?" One of the demons timidly stepped out of the group, hand raised. As Harm saw the demon, he began to smirk. "Well then. Let's talk."

As Will thought back over his "victory", he saw that it wasn't really as much of a victory as he thought it was. All it did was raise his ego even more. Finally Will took his hands off of the dried up blood stain and stood up. He then made his way out of the kitchen and out the front door, he'd done what he accomplished to. He'd given Bill one last visit before letting him go forever as he locked the door behind him. But even though that was the plan, like most plans it didn't really pan out the way he wanted as he heard a voice from the past. "What were you doing in there? That's an abandoned house! I should call the poli-...Oh...my God! Billy?" As Will turned to see the source of the voice he saw a familiar brown haired girl around Greta's age. One of the two he'd been so cold towards at Greta's funeral. Will could feel the smile beginning to form on his lips. "Hello Beth, it's been a while."

This was the one thing that Will was hoping to avoid, but he felt the chances that he'd see someone who recognized him were slim to none. "But...Billy...I saw the body...when they...how?.." Will put up his hand to stop her from barraging him with questions even though he wasn't sure how he'd answer it. "First off, I kinda prefer Will now. And second...well...I'm...uh..." Will then just said the first thing that came to mind that made even remote sense. "...a secret agent. But please, you can't tell anyone." Will then thought over what he just said. 'A Secret agent? I couldn't come up with anything better than a secret agent?' But looking at Beth's expression, she actually believed it! "My death was just faked because it made me a better weapon, you know how it is."

Beth seemed to be thinking hard about the lie she'd just been told before she finally calmed down and spoke again. "Is...Greta with you?" That question noticeably caught him offguard and he wanted to change the subject as fast as possible. "That's classified information." Beth then let out a smirk, as if she knew the truth. "Well, if she is working with you, could you tell her I said hi?" Will matched her smirk as he looked back at her. "Sure thing. So...how've you been?" Will asked hoping to keep the subject far away from people who were supposed to be dead. Beth looked at Will like something was wrong with made him slightly nervous. "Billy...Will, you seem different. Before you were.." "Evil?" Will stated, finishing her sentence, even though she denied that it was the word she'd use. "I wouldn't say evil, just..." Beth started again, and it took all of Will's self control not to laugh at the expression on her face as she searched for a nicer way to say evil. "Evil. It's okay, I know I was." Will said flashing Beth a smile before a voice broke the silence.

"Was? That'd mean that you weren't anymore wouldn't it?" Both Will and Beth turned to the voice to find yet another ghost from the past. Though in this case ghost is meant literally as Will was the first to speak. "Rip?"

(HA! You thought I was going to leave three straight posts ending like that? Shame on you!)

Rip walked in between the two, "The one and only, Billy or if I remember correctly...Harm." Will's eyes were still wide with suprise. Saying it was awkward looking at one of the people you killed to get your dark powers would be an understatement of the century. Will wondered if somehow when he gave up his powers if he'd freed him and if that meant he'd be meeting the others. "Don't worry Harm, I'm the only one here, the others are still in their eternal torment as your ex sponsor's playthings." Rip replied seemingly reading Will's mind. "Don't give me that look, it was all over your face, don't forget how well I know you." Rip said giving Will then Beth a creepy glare.

"Billy...what's going on here? How many agents are there?" Beth asked quietly, it was obvious being surrounded by "dead" people was beginning to freak her out. "Trust me when I say I'm as lost as you are right now." Will replied, not even bothering to correct Beth about his name this time. An evil smile began to form on Rip's face as he turned towards Will. "How about I clear it up then. You made your sacrifices to get your powers, and then you severed them! I know you're probably pretty confused that you'd try to turn over a new leaf an all but here's the problem with that. I'm dead, the other's are dead! And now our deaths meant jack! It's bad to be killed by your 'friend' but it's even worst when there's no longer any point behind the death! So I was able to convince Noitaerc to let me go and I'd bring you back. But we both know you're not going easy." Rip's hands then began to glow white, as did his eyes. "I'm really hoping you don't. After all you'd go down there after you die, so why should I take you the easy way. Eye for an eye right?"

Seeing where this was going Will turned to Beth. "Get out of here okay?" "B-but.." "GO!" With that said, Will turned his attention back to Rip, as he summoned his sais into his hands. "Rip, I don't want to fight you." Will said as he began to pace around Rip, it was unnerving, the way that Rip was looking at him was almost the same way that he was looking when he killed Rip. "Funny, I remember not wanting to fight you a few years ago. Oooo is this the part where you say that wasn't you?" Rip taunted as he fired a white energy beam which Will was barely able to dodge. With a sigh, Will slowly shook his head. "No, that was me, but I'm know I can't talk you out of this so why don't you shut up and fight?" Rip licked his lips as his eyes shined brightly in anticipation. "You must have read my mind."

Marx - October 17, 2004 06:41 PM (GMT)
Rip charged towards Will with his hands still forming a white aura around them resembling the one around Will's sais that he used to block the punch. As he continued to match Rip blow for blow it was very reminiscent of their last fight, even the fact that Will's weapons were sais. But Rip's time in Hell had obviously given him the needed boost to be able to take on Will as Will saw that despite his trying he wasn't getting the upper hand. In a blinding kick to the face, Will was forced to release the sais which Rip promptly picked up. "Wow...gotta say this brings back memories, only I beleive I only had one sai last time." Rip taunted as he began to pummel Will's ribs with the handles of the sais.

It then hit Will that Rip might be using them, but those are his sais, if he can call them all the way from the Tower, surely he can keep Rip from using them against him. Rip was getting tired of just using the handles to injure Will, he wanted to see some blood. Flippping the sais so that the bladed edge was out, he went to stab Will in the face. But he stopped inches away from cutting Will, depsite how much it looked like he was trying. Will then opened his eyes to see Rip struggling against the sais and strengthened the aura around them. "You know...someone already did that. I believe those are mine." Will calmly said as the sais threw Rip to the ground and returned to Will's hands.

Rip then began to match Will's confident smirk. "Don't need em." He said cockily as his hands started to glow once more. And energy blast exploded from Rip's hands as Will was barely able to put up his sais and transform them into swords so they were able to block the blast better. The blast was so strong that even though Will was blocking it with the swords and the magic aura it was still pushing him back, and upon closer inspection Rip was only using one hand. Will's eyes went wide as he saw Rip was about to use the other hand, if it was going to double the intensity of that blast he wasn't going to be able to stop it. Pushing against the blast, Will was able to use it's momentum to launch himself into the air and away from the full intensity of the energy.

Using the energy from his own swords, Will was able to control his fall so he could use gravity to strenthen the force of the kick he delivered across Rip's face. Rip was thrown to the ground by the force of the blow but quickly caught his balance and delivered a kick of his own to Will's gut which knocked the air out of him. Rip then swiftly elbowed Will in the face knocking him back up and ran full force driving his forearm into Will's neck and finally reaching a halt as they both collided with Will's house making it very hard for Will to breathe. As Will looked into the hate in Rip's eyes, it looked familiar and he caught Rip by suprise as he began to laugh uncontrollably. Out of pure confusion Rip loosened his forearm. "What's so funny Harm?" He growled only to have Will still smiling at him. "Rip, I'm really sorry man, as a matter of fact there's no way I can apologize enough for what I did to you." Rip's confused expression quickly turned into a smirk as he strengthened his grip again. "Oh, is that supposed to make everything better?" While Rip's smirk was sinister, resembling the one Will'd become famous for, the one on Will's face wasn't his usual one, it seemed like one of sincere happiness.

"No, as I said, I can't make it better. But looking at you just now, you totally reminded me of how I used to be. And then it hit me, I actually got sick thinking of some of the things I did. And if it makes me sick to even think about doing that stuff, then I know for a fact I won't do it again. Billy really is dead, and I'm not going to let you kill me when your actual beef is with Billy." Will then let go of his swords, which he turned into sais, something he'd never been able to do without touching them. The two sais then swung up one after the other colliding with Rip's head forcing him to let go, with another blow sending him careening back.

By this time, Will had his arms crossed and the sais were circling around him as if he were controlling them telekinetically. "As I said Rip, I'm sorry." With that said, the sais then dashed forward zig zagging across the air, striking Rip in the face repeatedly before twisting around an hitting him in the gut. Rip spit out blood as he hit the ground, and gave Will a hateful glare. "This...isn't over!" Rip shouted in defiance as he shot an energy blast at Will. But Will didn't budge, one of the sais sped in front of Will and began twirling while simeotaneously turning into a sword and deflecting the blast. "Yes...it is." Will stated as the remaining sai struck Rip on the temple knocking him out. Will then finally got out of his crossed armed stance and outstretched his hands and caught the weapons, turning the sword back into a sai to match it's partner.

Will began to smirk as he turned to the bushes. "I could have sworn I told you to leave." In the exact direction Will was looking in, Beth stepped out of the bushes with a shocked look on her face. "Billy? Is...is he...?" Beth started, not taking her eyes off the still form of Rip. Will shook his head, before getting a smirk on his face. "No, I just knocked him out. And the name's Hayes. Will Hayes." Will stated flashing Beth a wink.

Marx - October 18, 2004 12:12 AM (GMT)
Beth suddenly burst into a fit of laughter. Will then returned a smile. "What? Was that too much?" Beth was finally able to stiffle her laughing. "No Bi-..Will. It was great. But...um...what do we do with him?" Beth said motioning towards the unconscious Rip. Will then pulled out a piece of paper and wrote a number on it before giving it to Beth. "Beth, call this number okay. It's a place that deals with stuff like this all the time. Just tell them what happened here and they'll come to pick him up. Chances are you're going to end up speaking to a guy named Maad, whose a bit of a jerk but he knows what he's doing." Beth took the number and looked at Will slightly confused. "Is that the agency you work for?" Beth's expression was only more confused as it was Will's turn to burst into total laughter. "Lets just say that any of that me being evil stuff you heard. Try not to mention that okay?" Will asked, even though it seemed like he was joking, the last thing he wanted to do was have A.P.E.S. at Titans Tower wanting him to explain why he killed people who are coming back to life...despite how often that's happened lately.

Beth started to run to a phone but turned back to Will. "You really are different now Will...will I see you again?" Will simply gave her a smirk as he pressed a button on his wrist. "Maybe. But if I gave you any more information than that..." "You'd have to kill me?" Beth finished laughing. Will gave her a wink as the PM sped to a halt in front of him. Giving Beth one last wave goodbye Will sped off in the PM activating it's cloaking option.

He had to admit, today had been really interesting, and despite the slight soreness of his ribs and neck, he couldn't remember when he felt so happy. Will felt that something was missing and realized that he'd forgotten to turn on the radio and upon turning it on began to sing when he heard a familiar piano at the beginning of the song.

"It starts with
One thing, I don’t know why
It doesn’t even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme
To explain in due time
All I know.."

Will then paused for awhile as he let the song play, this was a good song and all but he wanted something a little happier. As he put in a cd, Will pulled the top of his shirt slightly and looked at the "Wonder Girl" necklace which made him smile, he'd told her he'd never take it off and he meant it. Picking up his car phone he dialed her number and began huming with the guitar intro before Cassie picked up and he began to paraphrase the song. "Cassie can I come over after schoo-oo-oo-oo-oool. After school. We can hang around by poo-oo-oo-oo-oool. Hang by the pool." He then heard the laughing on the other side of the line. "What? Yeah I know we don't have a pool, we could still go somewhere. I was thinking, remember what you said about seeing a double feature? How about we do that today?"

Will's smile began to widen as he heard the response. "Yeah, I am in a good mood today. I'll pick you up in five minutes okay? And if you remember from last time I do mean five minutes." Will said laughing as he put down the phone and looked at the sky as he sped to see his girlfriend. It was a beautiful day.
