Title: A christmas story
Description: A festive rpg/contest

Okay people, heres my storyline suggestion for the holidays: Just a single thread of simultanious storylines where we see how our characters are dealing with the holidays.
Not nessesarily in costume, all though you can do that, but out of it as well. Either we can do this as an RPG or as a fanfic contest. Just thought I'd run it by you guys first and find what you think before I went into any details.

I think it's a great idea, and I reccomend doing it as an RPG as opposed to a fanfic contest.

I actually like that idea too, and I agree it should probably be an RPG.

If we do it as an RPG, will we be allowed to have our characters interact, or is it just supposed to be an individual character thing?
Either way works, really; I have a good idea of what I'll be doing with Lyle and it'll work with either context.

It'd probably work best if we interacted, there would be overlapping in the stories either way, like Harm and Secret going to the same place because they're siblings and the like.

Exactly like Marx said. And its kind of the point of the story(ies). How will they spend the holidays? With friends and family or by themselves? IS it a merry or a blue christmas for them, ect.
There will definitely be overlapping stories, hopefully. It's easier to write that way in stead of writing an rpg all by your self. :D

I think it's an uber niffty idea Rach! I'm definately in! :D
Shinobi - December 9, 2004 12:48 AM (GMT)
Ditto, cound me in too besides...i need to get shin into more storylines anyhow lol :D
Robin - December 9, 2004 06:51 AM (GMT)
Sounds like fun. Though expect a somewhat depressing post from me, since this is Robin's first Christmas as an orphan, and I haven't decided whether or not to have Bruce Adopt Tim or leave Tim living the solo life in Bludhaven. :D

I have a question.
I have plans for how Lyle will spend at least part of the holiday, but they require some... preparation on his part.
From the end of the current storylines ("Introducing Young Justice," "Helpless," "X Marks the Titan," etc.), how much time is there untill Christmas?
I know we don't have exact dates and all, but as I recall I joined the site back in late May or Early June or something like that. Invisible Kid was my character for that entire time, but in all that time maybe only a week has passed IC between "A World Without Teen Titans," "Introducing Young Justice" and "Helpless" if I understand out timeline correctly.
What I'm asking is, essentially, how much "shopping time" we have. This would basically be "down time" between the end of the current storylines and the actual Christmas season, during which there would be no major events to justify a storyline (just basic "I'm fixing things in my lab" or "I'm on monitor duty" or "we just busted these teenagers robbing a convenience store" or stuff like that).
How much time do you guys think? I would suggest something along the lines of 2 months, but what does everybody think?

Sorry! I'll open it rght now! Haven't been able to get on much or for very long lately.....Its a christmas rpg, so I suggest we start it up as soon as possible.

Darn it. Okay, just so you know I'm alive and well. I'm currently on a legal battle with my last wireless internet provider so that's the reason I'm not online. Those bastards started charging me for a lot of services I didn't even requested.
I already request wireless internet from another company and I think that by thursday I'll be able to be online once more. cant make promises though.
Okay, ttyl.
