Description: The fives are attacking...

Ugh, I need your guys' help. See it's like this, at night when I type fives start appearing. They show up everywhere, inbetween words, after words, sometimes they act as if Im pressing the button and they wont stop until I press another button. Oh yes and we can't forget about the percentage signs that appear when I press shift sometimes, this obviously happens 'cause if you press shift and press five a % appears. So anyways it has been getting worse, i mean really it makes it hard for me to write and my friends to read. If you want to know how bad it is ask Marx, he has had to endure it for a while. SO my question to you all is this... Do you have any idea how to fix this? Or should I just get a new keyboard?

I don't think is ur keybord, man. It might be the configuration of ur keyboard. But u have to ask Jake about this. Since he's our on call hacker. I'm just the pretty guy that gets all the ladies. ::supes::

The first thing I would do is hit the five key. It sounds like it's getting stuck.
Sometimes you can't even se it when they do this. I had that problem with a nine key the other day. Couldn't tell that anything was wrong with it, didn't seem to even effect my typing but when I started playing Madness (uber-violent free net game) the gun that came up for 9 just kept appearing over and over.
The second that I hit the nine key it stopped.
Now, if that doesn't solve it, I would try cleaning the keys a little. If you have a key vaccum (they're tiny and made specificly for that) then I'd use it, if not you can usually use a paper towel or a paperclip (my weapon of choice for any external problems).
If it still happens you could TRY scanning for a virus, but it doesn't sound like a viral problem.
After that I'd call the repair guy if nothing else worked.
And remember: Kicking it will make anything better, just don't kick the monitor. ;-)
