Title: Favorite Green Lantern

John Stewart - January 12, 2005 04:12 AM (GMT)
I am going with Kyle Rayner. Hal is second, John in third, Kilowag Fourth and I think Guy should be last. I liked Guy better as the Warrior. He looked cooler.

Jason Todd - January 12, 2005 04:16 AM (GMT)
I think we've had a poll like this. I went with the first Green Lantern Alan Scott on that one

But I went with Hal here since I find him the most interesting besides Guy and Al

i voted for them all

Robin - January 12, 2005 04:21 AM (GMT)
Yeah, we already did this poll a long time ago. Kyle and Hal tied.

And you left out several Green Lanterns. There's Sentiel AKA Alan Scott who is the first Green Lantern of Earth and Jade who is a supporting Green Lantern.

Does Jade have a power ring again and with Hal returning is it really the end for Kyle Rayner? Please say that Kyle is not leaving.

Robin - January 12, 2005 04:34 AM (GMT)
Not anymore, but she is still considered a member of the Earth Green Lantern team since her powers came from the same meteor, the helped create her father's power ring, which also is linked in the creation of the Great Battery.

What ever happened to Sentinel anyway? I mean I know he's all super-invincible starheart boy now (except for wood, though his death would wipe out the universe. Gotta hand it to DC for making a minor character into a demi-god) but... Where is he? Why? What does he do?
I know he's not gonna get his own title or anything (since it'd be no fun, he can do anything) but... what and where is he?

Robin - January 12, 2005 05:04 AM (GMT)
Sentiel was never a minor character. He was after all the original GL. He just got replaced by Hal Jordan's Green Lantern during the old multiple Earth days.

Alan is now a primary member of the Justice Society of America. He's a father figure of the team. Outside of the JSA, he's a TV reporter. He's reconciling his relationship with Jade, and he is currently feeling a magical link between his powers and the resurrecting Hal Jordan.

Sentiel is no longer a god. But his powers are pretty high up there since they are magically based.

I know he's not a minor character in that respect, I meant like... Well, you say "green lantern" most people will know who that is. You say "sentinel" or "alan scott" and the majority won't have any idea.

How'd he lose his god...ishnes...liness...whatever...? I knew he had decided to route the powers through the ring for some personal reason, but I didn't know he'd actually LOST them.

Couldn't tell you. His explotation to the original GL Battery gave him natural magical powers. I know that he's recently become less god-like or at the very least isn't flaunting those powers.

I think it had to do with his psycho son, Obsidian.

Ah. Ok, thanks! *has finally learned something that may matter to my life, all those hours I waisted at school are now made up for*

John Stewart - January 12, 2005 03:42 PM (GMT)
When Jason Todd you forget Allen Scott and Jade. I was going for who do you like better who has a ring in the rebirth series. I added Hal Jordan will be coming back. Hopefully!

Robin - January 12, 2005 04:01 PM (GMT)
But Alan Scott DOES have a ring. And Jade's power pretty much comes original from the same source as the other Green Lanterns.

John Stewart - January 12, 2005 04:03 PM (GMT)
I thought Jade lost her power to create thinks like the the Green Lantern rings do.

Robin - January 12, 2005 04:08 PM (GMT)
Kyle turned those powers back on when he had gain god-like powers and became ION.
