Okay Gang here is the situation:

After I went offline yesterday, I did some thinking and I had some ideas of how to further improving our beloved board. Organization being the key word for the whole process.

The first Idea is to create the Oracle Files. That would like the YJUTT’S Chronology and all the relevant facts will be registered there. This, I think is a important element.

The second idea is rather simple as well. Game Masters. Yes, game masters. Just before I went to bed last night, I noticed that we had already 34 pages in the “ROAD TRIP” and nothing really happened. If we indicate one member to be the Game Master, the storylines will be much more planned and organized. Again, organization.

I know that at first you might think, “I CAN’T BE A GAME MASTER! I HAVE A JOB, I SON, A DEMANDING KINKY GIRLFRIEND!” But people, it’s not that hard really. All you have to do, is choose a villain and the villain’s plan, what he wants to do. And the GM thing wouldn’t be permanent. We would change, In a story line I would be the GM, in the next it would be Mark, in the next it would Rach and so on. Having a GM does wonders for the story line. Trust me, the story wouldn’t drag for 35 pages.

Okay, my next point is: Posting properly. This is what I think we should do: An itinerary of some sort. Like: Matt is the first to post, Alan is the second, Jake is the third and so on. That would also help organizing the whole deal. Since everyone once in a while we have people posting five time in less than a minute and making the whole thing a lot more complicated than it’s supposed to be.

The whole itinerary thing would be good because: We would have to wait for
EVERYONE to be online, and having some kind of posting order would allow us, at least I think, to write more elaborated posts because we wouldn’t be worrying about some crazy lunatic jumping the gun. The Crazy Lunatic can be anyone. Okay, It’s me, don’t judge me dammit! That would also help the story lines a lot. Better posts, better story.

One other thing, that whole itinerary thing, would allow us to have more CHAT TIME without some crazy lunatic yelling: WHO’S TURN IT IS?? Again the crazy lunatic is me. But I’m on medication already.

Okay, those were my 25 cents. I could be wrong. I usually am. Either that or I’m on crack and talkin’ outta my butt. Anyways, post your replies here and lemme know what you think. I’m sorry about my typos, but I didn’t had the time to review my post. I just wanted it to be out in the open already.

I'm liking the idea about the Oracle files and stuff and you are definately right, we have been a weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee bit disorganised with Road Trip. Also, with having over 20 members now, some with more than 1 character, it's gonna make RPGing...interesting...perhaps some kind of order would be good but not too many restrictions!!! :D

Definitely not too many restrictions, otherwise it'll seem like this is homework and not fun and that's just seriously wrong.

But we do need to be a lot more organized. That's why I proposed we try it out in the next story arc to see what happens and together we can mold the rules and make it better.

agreed..but i think it will be hard to come up with an order everytime people get on ..and what makes it harder is that not everyone gets on the same time cuz u know some people have lifes ..yup

That's the point of having an order. We won't have to wait everyone be online to RPG. We would only post when is our turn. That way we would have more time for our "lives". ;)
