How did you start in comics or even this rpg in general?
as usual if you dont reply i'll swallow your soul...barring those of you who already have no soul...mmmm....soul...delicous delicious soul...
Anywho with me for comics, i was at my grandparents house when i was little, rooting around my dad's old room, and i come upon a copy of an old legion of superheroes comic. From then on, history was written.
As for this rpg, well...I had been reading through a freinds volume of Young Justice, so i got bored during study hall and typed 'Young Justice' in google, after flitting around the net for a few minutes I found a link page, and eventually found a link to this site. So blame my friend that i'm here alright.

~Well, being a young hyper active child me Ma would always have to care for me obviously, me Da would be in work an me sister at school, so anytime me Ma had to go shoppin she had to take me shoppin with her, an everytime I'd go out with her, I'd ask for sweets. This would then make me very hyper active, so in the general store where I wanted sweets, me Ma said no, an I seen a Superman comic on the self an pointed to it. I really liked the Superman film with Christopher Reeves, so me Ma bought me it. An so on, every now an again I'd get a Superman comic, but being young I'd just ster at the pictures. I started gettin them around the time the Reign of Superman happened, an I got Adventure comics where Superboy very firstly starting off.
But years past an I went off comics, an something similar happened when I was 8. In the general shop where I seen Superboy #24, an for some reason I reconised him. (At this point I couldn't remeber ever gettin the Superman comics with him in it, only when I went in the attic an found my old comics I realised) I got it an read it, an started gettin it each month. The shop stopped sellin them, an I found out about Worlds Apart down town where I now get em from.
~An this site? Well, just searchin google for Superboy info an came across a good message board, www.comicboards.com/superboy and www.comicboards.com/teentitans an when I first went on it, I read a Falcon fan fic she posted. I posted sayin it was very good, an she later posted the link to Archers Superman RPG, then her own YJUTT site, an the rest is on the site... wow that was borin, lets just say we where all war buddies, thats soudns better.

When I was like... super-young. Like only three or four probably, my aunt bought me a Batman action figure. The maroon one with the little thing that goes over his head and launches plastic discs... no the other one...) And then I started watching the cartoon, eventually bought a few comics and then my grandmother started sending me the '66 TV show 'cause the IDIOT cable here didn't show it. So by the time I was around 7 I knew everything any 7 year old could know about Batman and had ammassed a HUGE collection of action figures. (Spiderman too, from the cartoon which must have come on after Batman at some point in time.) So then I started looking for stuff online and for comic books and... well, it was really hard to find. Besides, I still WAS Batman until like 3rd grade. ;) (I can make a mean grappling hook sound too.)
So anyway, my love for Batman slowly spread out to a good portion of the DC universe, then Marvel, then the really obscure ones (always had a softspot for those) and... Well, I won't go over all the years.
So then, when I'm... pro'lly 11? Maybe 12... I find GCUSA online. Gotham City USA was the BEST Batman site ever created and always will remain so. It's shut down now, but it's on web archives somewhere and I had a rep'. Seriously.
1) I asked the admin for help one time and he said "Hey, I know you. I've seen your posts" 'cause I had so many.
2) I created like fifty threads.
3) I had SEVERAL interactive stories.
4) 'S where I met my first online buddies and my first girlfriend.
There was, back then, a man named Archer (he joined here a couple of times on the old site) and he was probably as active as me.We were HUGE Batman Beyond freaks (geeky, yes, but I did and do like it) and talked about that all the time. This spread to Batman too. We posted there all the time. Then, inspired by some weird site Archer had on proboards, I created FutureGotham. The web's best Batman Beyond RPG for quite a while. (Especially since BB was shortlived and never really had that many fansites.)
Rach'...Falcon... Saw my site, but had bigger and better plans. She created YJUTT and then asked me for help since she'd seen how great FutureGotham was going. (And though you can't tell now, FG really was an AWESOME site when in business. We had tons of active members, some of the best coding and graphics I've ever done and the storylines were awesome. We seriously had days that we would start two or three and finish them the same day.)
So I helped Rach' and, not so much later, FG pretty much died giving me full devotion to YJUTT.
From there yall probably know atleast most of the story.

Well it all started one day when I was with my bro in K-Mart. He was getting something, I can no longer remember what it was but I was just roaming around the store bored when I saw the comics section. And Superboy #23 caught my eye, and for anyone whose seen the cover it's probably obvious exactly what about it caught my attention. I bought it and lo and behold, it was pretty cool. Then we were in K-Mart again for a random reason the next month, and I looked there again, and sure enough there was Superboy #24 and it actually was a continuation of 23! I was amazed, keep in mind at this point the only comics I'd ever read were Archie, so then I started bugging my bro to keep taking me and the rest is history.
As for the site, I found it from the Teen Titans section of Comicboards as well. It caught my eye and I hadn't been in an RPG since I was in the Anime Hyperguide so I thought what the hell this site looks cool. And well, you know the rest.

Well, sigh......It all started when I was a little kid and I realized that I was not strong or tough enough to play sports..... :'( So decided to read comics and draw instead. I started RPing when my pot smoking friends in the fifth grade taught me how to play D & D. This RPG was when I was beaten up and hid in the library from my assailants and I found this site on the net when I was killing time til they got tired looking for me.
JK :)
I got into comics and drawing when I was little when my dad got me a truck load of comics. Second part aobut RPGs is true though.....
Last part not so interesting just found it on the net.....

Okay, I was roughly 3 years old, and my first comic book was TEENAGED MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. (And I'm talking about the ORIGINAL Turtles, not the first animated series, or the movies, or the new series. The very first completely original comics, where April was a scientist assistant, and not a reporter).
I didn't have a comic book story growing up, since I moved every 3 or 4 years, thanks to growing up in the military, so I had to buy my comics at the BX. So that made my comic purchasing very sporatic since one week they would have one type of comics, and the next week different comics.
But then one day, I picked up an issue of Batman, entitled BATMAN YEAR THREE, where Batman and Nightwing reunited to stop the killer of Dick's Parents once and for all. But it wasn't until a few months later that Tim Drake was introduced Batman lore that I became truly hooked.
I then read every Batcomic I could get my hands on, which led me to read about the rest of the DCU, and soon after that, I was led to reading the X-Men.
Now as for the site, like Chris, I was drawn to this site by www.comicboards.com/superboy and www.comicboards.com/teentitans . I had seen an add for the site, posted by Falcon and decided to check it out. I had never done an RPG before, but thought, what the hell, right?
Of course, I didn't get the character I wanted when I joined. I had wanted to play Robin, but he was taken, so I opted to play Nightwing. But thankfully, the guy who had Robin before me, never came back after one day, so... well the rest if history.

I can remember the exact date of the first comic I read... It was November... Eighteenth... Two thousand ten. I will tell you what happened on that date, on that day.
However RPG I can actually answer. I have to say I don't think I always liked role-playing. In fact I abhorred writing for a while in my life, can you believe it! Same goes for reading. Truthfully I started doing both when my cousin would not get the hell out of my room, and he still won't but now I he doesn’t say anything cause he thinks I’m reading. Anyways I wrote some fan fic's of some stuff, like a Kingdom Hearts fan fic. I then went to an Anime Chat room, and someone asked me if I wanted to RP, I was like, "Ok... You go first..." Anyways my first RP was a stupid simple, one-liner kind. Then I met someone who really knows how to write and she has been one of my best friends since. Anyways after that I asked her if she knew of any places where I could RP, and she literally gave me a list. One of them was a .hack and I stuck with it for a while. I never would have even considered going to a comic RP if she hadn't given me the link and told me it was basically based on the TV, 'cause I had knowledge on that. But anyways I tried my hand at it, and I found out I could role play as a character I had virtually never seen before, thank god for that, or you all wouldn’t even find my here. Wouldn't that be horrible!?
Jakazul - January 16, 2005 05:19 AM (GMT)
Stupid one liner RPGs rock.
So does reading, writing, the fact that you came, etc. I just wanted to throw that out. :P
Robin - January 16, 2005 05:37 AM (GMT)
Jake, you silver tongue devil you. ;)
Jakazul - January 16, 2005 08:35 AM (GMT)
lol
And there should be a compliment thread (or suckup thread maybe)... 'Cept no one would ever post in it... And people would be depressed 'cause they'd realize no one really cared, but we would.
Yes, we would care.
Because we are YJUTT... And at YJUTT we care.
Or mutilate, burn and destroy...
...But mostly just lol.

My first comic- I was maybe 7 years old when, leaving school, I picked up wht wrong bookbag from the coat room. I did not discover my mistake untill I got home, and found it to be filled with comic books. Superman and Batman, Fantastic Four and Green Lantern, the JLA and Aquaman.
More than half the comics in the bag, however, were old Legion of Super Heroes comics.
Cosmic Boy!! Saturn Girl!! Lightning Lad!! Superboy!! Supergirl!! Duo Damsel!! Element Lad!! Light Lass!! Mon-El!! Matter Eater Lad!! Chameleon Boy!!
I was hooked. Unfortunately, I had to return all the comics to their rightful owner the next day. but that started my interest in comics (and the Legion of Super Heroes).
Got started on this site- I saw a link to a DC Comics roleplaying board on the DC message posting board thing. I was bored and curious and had been without any RPing but a few slow PBEMs for months, so I checked it out. I was hooked as soon as I realized Lani was a redhead. :D2
Shinobi - January 17, 2005 04:48 PM (GMT)
Heh, well this thread certainly has grown at...more of a rate i expected it too. Its one of those things i expected everyone to ignore, and like i said, ironically my first comic was legion. Lighting Lad was cool.
Aaaaaanywaaay....i got nothin'....
Jakazul - January 18, 2005 05:53 AM (GMT)
We at YJUTT do not ignore.
We at YJUTT care. (I've been through this.)
We at YJUTT like to pour out our hearts and souls.
We at YJUTT also like to spew forth bull such as this.
We at YJUTT like to speak in first person plural as I do currently.
