I am thinking about having a tournament. All YJUTTers are welcome to participate and fight. You just have to use one of your two characters to participate.

This will be an RPG, not a poll.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how we can possibly do a tournament. No one is going to want their character to lose a fight and thus the fights will most likely go one forever because most of us will find a way to write our characters a way out of getting defeated.

And then there are certain characters (i.e. Doctor Fate, Raven and Secret) who have the overall edge to pretty much every fight.

Not to mention several of our characters who keep low profiles (i.e. the bat-clan amongst others) would never get involved in a public tournament.

Could always make alternate endings like in Godzilla vs. King Kong... Or you could make polls for each battle and have people vote, then follow what they say. Have it be in some kind of mind controll storyline or something where the heroes are being forced, or tricked into it. I think it's pausible, just needs some more thought.

Alternate endings... too complicated because we'd be writting two stories per tournament round.

I happen to think it is good idea. you attach a poll to each plot, and let the people decide who wins. No alterante endings we close the polls after a few weeks and the bout would come to close based o nthe decsision of the poll.

I guess it could work but it depends on the characters involved. Obviously if Spectre, Secret or Raven were in the tournament they'd spank everyone. Same as if it was a mixture of adult and teen superheroes. Harm's cool and all but Martian Manhunter would beat the snot out of him, get what I mean?

But once again, kidflash3 said it is not supposed to be a poll. Only an RPG.

And like Marx said, there are certain characters who shouldn't be able to lose. Secret, Raven and Specter are the obvious winners in just about any contents, because their powers are without real limitation.

And then there is the fact this story would go on for a REALLY long time. Think about it. Two to three weeks for each poll. Then god knows how long the fights will go, until the designated loser decides to finally throw in the towel.

Or they will be really anti-climaxtic where we have...

'Specter and Beast Boy face off. And with a mere look Beast Boy's mind is competley destroyed by God's Wraith'

Hmmm, far be it for me to believe I have a solution...I mean look at my track record <_<

aaaaanyway....we could do the matches according to power levels. I mean sanction off the characters that would just...be...y'know...WAY too powerful like spectre as you pointed out and place them into a seperate category for those ones to fight each other.

That wouldn't work. Because sooner or later the finalists will be facing off with one another, and we'll have something like Robin vs. Raven again, and we all know how that turned out.

We can't sanction them off into different contests, because then we run the risk of having 4 or 5 different tournaments. A tournament for fighters, a tournaments for meta-humans, a tournament for supreme beings, etc, etc, etc...

And we've only got three characters who could be sanctioned off. Raven, Specter and Secret. After one fight, they'd need to face off against the heroes with far far far far less power, and thus we continue to have the same problem.

It does sound interesting, but I have to agree with Robin on this one. The moment Raven, Secret, or Spectre joins the fray, the other guy would probably be toast.

Of course, there is the fact that if I were to enter this little fray, I would probably only use Beast Boy. I mean, what's the point for Spectre to join in, if he'll cause such a stir.
