Title: A question about ties

Jakazul - February 23, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
A guy at my school got in trouble for wearing a tie today.
They said that it was "innapropriate because it was ties a tiny bit loosely". It was tied like... Ya know. Like people tie a tie now days. Not like untied, just not ted right up to the neck. An inch apart pro'lly.
It's plain black and he was wearing a light blue dresshirt.

Now someone tell me: Am I missing something?
Is there any reason on earth that someone would get in trouble for wearing a tie and not having it choke them?

Someone tell me. I'm confused.
All I know for sure is that I plan on wearing ties more often. (I was wearing one the same day this kid got in trouble, btw. By chance. They aren't like required or in the dress code or anything.)

Well I dont see people wearing ties usually at my school, except for two days out of the week. One is for the ROTC kids and if those ties arent one right (the way you described would be wrong for us) we would so get demerits. Another is for the Buisness magnet kids they hve to dress out but I think I see some of them wearing ties like that, nothing is ever said against wearing them like that, but thats just us. Not sure about you guys.

Only people who wore ties in high school on a regular basis were the ubber-geeks and the ROTC, the Business Club kid and the people who went on Forensics, debate, speech or theatre tournaments during the day.

I pro'lly fit under uber-geek more than any of those, but I'd call myself uber-freak. Either way, I wear ties sometimes. Like I wore one once on casual day where the entire dresscode was gone. Wore a dress-shirt, slacks, tie, did my hair different... People were freaked out.

~I use to wear a tie, though it was for school, an I did wear a blazer (shoulder padded jacket) as well. But my tie was always loose, coz my shirt collor was too small for my neck so the top button was untied
