Sorry it took so long guys. But I left to see Constantine which was a pretty cool movie as was Equilibrium which I saw before I went to the theatre. Totally see how he could play Batman in the new movie. But alas we are here to talk about how superheroes/villains would beat the crap out of each other and that's what we shall do. As usual I don't know a lot about either of the competitors and will wait to cast my vote. Have fun. :D

Robin - March 23, 2005 04:11 AM (GMT)
Emma Frost? Don't get me wrong, I love Emma Frost. She a snide, manipulative b*tch that is fun to read about (despite the fact she stole Cyclops from Jean), but she has no chance of beating J'onn.

First off Martian Mahunter is a telepath, shape-shifter, phaser and he has super-strength, fly heat vision and more.

Emma Frost on the other hand has telepathy and her ability to turn her skin into diamond. Neither of which she can use at the same time. Its either one or the other.

Lets be frank, J'onn could beat Emma so many different ways it isn't funny. He's been using telepathy decades longer than Emma. He could phase through her body and short out her central nervous system. He could punch the flaw of her diamond form and shatter her body into a billion little pieces (and this time there's not Jean Grey to put her back together again).

Emma couldn't hope to match J'onn's telepathy and her diamond form could barely hold up against him.

I would have pitted J'onn against Marvel Girl, X-Man or Cable, considering they are far more powers than Emma. Though I kinda of doubt J'onn could handle them in the long run.

The only thing Emma has is a scintillating wit and the best body money can buy... And as she says in Astonishing X-Men 'I still rate below a corpse.'

*whispers* It was your suggestion actually...

You know that's the second time someone's forgotten they're suggestion to me lol.

Robin - March 23, 2005 04:40 AM (GMT)
You're kidding. I suggested Emma Frost against Martian Manhunter? Dude that had to have been when I was still on those painkillers after the accident  , cause that had to have been the dumbest suggestion I've ever made. (Hey, if its true, I'll admit I was f-ed up.)

Are you sure I wasn't making a sarcastic comment that was misinterpreted, like saying how uneven a fight against Martian Manhunter and Phoenix would have been and he might be more equal with someone like Emma in comparision?

Marx - March 23, 2005 06:08 AM (GMT)
lol I don't think it was. It was right between Nightcrawler vs The Creeper and Mr. Sinister vs Harm. You even said it couldn't be Jean or Prof X because they were too strong. It's all good though, we all have lapses of judgement...well not me of course because I'm perfect in every way.. :P

Robin - March 23, 2005 06:09 AM (GMT)
Right... Shall I list all those brief errors alphabetically or by date? ;)

NutiketAiel - March 23, 2005 02:32 PM (GMT)
I voted for J'onny, for obvious reasons. And, for the record, Constantine was a terrible movie. I can't believe I actually paid to see it. :-(

Marx - March 23, 2005 03:47 PM (GMT)
Alphabetical and By date will all result in the same nothingness lol. B)

And as for Constantine *drops jaw* It so was not! I thought it was totally cool! Now was it "The Devil's Advocate" good? No. But I wouldn't say it was terrible. There were just a few gaps in the plot was all...and Al Pacino wasn't Satan...those were the only problems!

STOMP - March 23, 2005 08:43 PM (GMT)
Now don't get me wrong here. MM wins this one by a good mile or so. However, I really don't think he's as tough as Alan first made him out to be. Although he does have more powers than most telepaths, he's anything but indestructable. I mean I was reading an old Task Force comic and he basically got toasted by the cliche big strong bad guy (A big Neo-Nazi named Iron Cross maybe). I think J'onn has the advantage when taking on another telepath but I mean he can be beat.

And Frost ussually controlled other mutants as her main tactic back in the day right? So I mean if she's controlling the right people, J'onn could be in trouble. But she'd be on her own in a one on one fight and once again MM totally wins this one EVEN IF FROST HAS HELP.

Robin - March 24, 2005 12:09 AM (GMT)
Nothingness? Really? Gee, well then, I'd love to know how you explain those 5,0579 numbers we have listed... hmmm... ;) Denial is not just a river in Egypt, my friend. (Now what the proper wording of mistaking a cop for a... Oh yeah... pg-13 site... lol.)

As for J'onn, he's considered the most powerful JLA member. They have called J'onn the most powerful metahuman in their ranks such as the time he went rogue two years back.

And I never said J'onn was indistructable, Stomp. I don't know where that came from. But I did say in comparision to Emma, he's not likely to be defeated. And Emma's telepathy only goes so far. J'onn's mind is more powerful, because he has more experience. He understand telepathy better than her, and could shut her down before she could send out her 'troops'. He could phase underground, and hide his presence from her, and then hit her from a sneak attack. She can't use her telepathy in diamond form, and J'onn is stronge enough to destroy Emma's diamond form.

STOMP - March 24, 2005 03:24 AM (GMT)
Now I think J'onn would only really be a danger to the citizens of the DCU if you had control of the tactics he used. You're a quick 'un there Alan. But you knew that! Once again, MM wins on skill, but I may still vote for Frost cuz she's wittier than he is. Admit it! He's boring as hell!

Robin - March 24, 2005 03:40 AM (GMT)
Tactics I use? What are you talking about? Those are the tactics they use in the comics all the time.

And not necessarily. Did you everread that storyline in JLA where J'onn became corrupted and went psycho on the JLA. Then he very witty. Emma Frost level of witty. He's not boring. He's actually a riot to read. Especially if you give him Oreros.

NutiketAiel - March 24, 2005 03:24 PM (GMT)
Yeah, just pick up any of the comics from the JLI era. J'onny-boy was the best! Especiaqlly when he was stuck with G'Nort.

Robin - March 24, 2005 06:00 PM (GMT)
Did you G'nort was number 3 on the most annoying pet side-kick list. Number two was Gleek from the Super-Friend and number one was that Squirrel who was a member of the Green Lanterns and got killed by a yellow bus.

STOMP - March 24, 2005 08:20 PM (GMT)
Stop wait.... Oreros... like the typo version of a cookie? Ok... I'm done. I vote for J'onn just on the basis of being perplexed by your argument. Anyone who likes Oreros is good in my book. Boy am I gonna feel stupid of Oreros wasn't a reference to a Nabisco snack.......

Robin - March 24, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
Yeah, its J'onn one none-fire weakness. He LOVES Oreroes. They showed his apartment kitchen once in Denver. Nothing but Oreros. That's the best gift for the martain.

STOMP - March 24, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
Awww crap!! Cookie Craving!!!

Shinobi - March 25, 2005 05:16 AM (GMT)
heh J'onn's as crazy about cookies as I am about pudding. BUTTERSCOTCH! BRING ME BUTTERSCOTCH OR I SHALL UNLEASH A FORCE SO POWERFUL EVEN THE POWERS THAT BE ARE TERRIFIED OF IT! *whispers* please dont blow my cover here fellas i might get some pudding!

*ahem* and...yeah I liked him when he was curropted. Fun stuff. And lets face it with all those powers and being able to use them at the same time...he wins.

Another question: why does he have super strength? earth has three times the gravity of mars, so technically shouldnt he struggle to just walk here?

Robin - March 25, 2005 05:39 AM (GMT)
J'onn's body is a metamorph. He can alter his body's strenght, size, shape and gravity to make him stronger.

Shinobi - March 25, 2005 05:47 AM (GMT)
Alrighty then. And what, no pudding?

Robin - March 25, 2005 05:49 AM (GMT)
No... of course not. This is a digital community remember? You can't eat.

Shinobi - March 25, 2005 09:21 PM (GMT)
Not so with my godlike powers. I bought them on E-bay. You really can get anything there. Oh by the way...I sold you to someone in norway. Pack warm clothes.

*turns marx into a dozen boxes of butterscotch pudding and sits down with a spoon* CHOW TIME!

Robin - March 25, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
*Takes away Justin's Marx-turned-pudding and hits him on the nose with a newspaper*

Bad Justin. Bad, bad Justin.

And you know, You can't sell me. You have no power to sell me. Remember that human being deal having free will and not living in a country where my life is a product? I know you've over looked that, but its there.

But you are going to get in BIG TROUBLE by this guy in Norway for not delievering on your promise. And I hear they break thumbs.

But guess what? I can sell your soul since you gave it to us when you joined the RPG (you gotta read the fine print...). Its going to a nice gentleman in who wears red underwear and carries a pitchfork. He says to dress warmly and bring sun screen. EPS 9 Million should do. And use the bathroom now. As it says in the bible: 'Its Damnation WITHOUT relief."

*Turns Marx back to normal and hands him a blowtorch*

Would you like to do the honors of sending Justin to our client, Mr. Marx?

atlantis - March 25, 2005 09:55 PM (GMT)
WAIT!!

*Turns Justins Gi into a pink tutu with a cutesy glitter crown and wings*

Continue boys :D

Robin - March 25, 2005 09:55 PM (GMT)
Nice touch.

Marx - March 25, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
*raises eyebrow*

You just turned me into pudding...ooooh its so on now ninja boy! Prepare to dance! In the flames! But fiiiiiirst....*fireproofs the tutu, crown and wings so no matter how much I burn you, you'll still be wearing it*

NOW! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA! *sets Justin on fire like whoooooooa! And throws pudding pops at his head*

kidflash3 - March 25, 2005 11:05 PM (GMT)
that was very funny, I should have thought off that, but alas I just live to be very hyper and impulsive.

Marx - March 25, 2005 11:30 PM (GMT)
You don't call throwing pudding pops at someone's head impulsive? :P

Shinobi - March 26, 2005 05:31 AM (GMT)
It burns! *runs in circles* wait...i already sold my soul before joining the rpg! Mwahahahahahaha! and now...ahhh! *starts running again* Robots! save me!

Robots: We're on break.

Hidden weapons time! *pulls out a fire extinguisher and puts self out*...okay, now either i'm changing into a normal gi right in front of all of you or its getting turned back...or i'm going to be hurt even more again.

Robin - March 26, 2005 05:35 AM (GMT)
Hmm... well, considering the fact that Marx made the dress fire-proof so even when you are set on fire, it remains unharmed... *Snaps fingers and makes the tutu permanent, so that it cannot be removed without permission from Lani, Marx or myself*

And I'm going to go with... more hurt.

*Holds up blowtorch* On the count of three Marx?

One...

Two... *Sets Justin on fire* Oops! Sorry! I got a bit excited. ;)

Shinobi - March 26, 2005 05:44 AM (GMT)
MY SPLEEN! I NEED THAT TO LIVE!...i think...*takes out medical journal and sits on a chair, ignoring the burning* ah, yes. Yes I do need that to live. *puts it away and stands up* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *runs around in circles again*

Robin - March 26, 2005 05:46 AM (GMT)
Hmmm... I'm taking bets on how long he keeps this up. Any takers? (And no Justin you can't place a bet. It'll tip the pot unfairly)

Xtreme - March 26, 2005 04:27 PM (GMT)
hah ha. Emma frost vs MM. lol good joke guys. Wait its not a joke is it? "*faints, but casts MM vote just in time*

Robin - March 27, 2005 03:11 AM (GMT)
He fainted? Wow, doesn't take much does it?

Marx - April 5, 2005 07:07 PM (GMT)
Yes! It's that time again for me to make a semi funny closing remark!

While trying to seduce Martian Manhunter into letting her win, she didn't count on the fact that Martian had Xray vision all this time and had already seen everything he wanted, therefore making it easy for him to flick her in the head ending the fight. And he agreed that Wonder Woman had a better body anyway...

Next will be up soon!
