History:While still a little boy in New England, Freddy Freeman's parents died in a car crash, a turn which made him and his foster brother Tim have to live with Freddy's grandparents in Fawcett City, not able to take care of two boys at the same time, Freddy lived with his grandfather and Tim had to go on to another family, a move which made Tim hate Freddy for the rest of his life.

It was during this time in which he was kidnapped by the demon Sabbac (Tim Karnes) who thought that young Freddy was his new classmate Billy Batson (Captain Marvel), later that friday night, Freddy was rescued by Captain Marvel and from then on became one of Billy Batson's closest friends. During a fishing trip, Freddy and his grandfather spotted a figure falling into the water nearby, jumping into the water, Freddy saved an unconsious Captain Nazi who was knocked down during a battle between Captain and Mary Marvel. After waking up, the villian permenently crippled Freddy and killed his grandfather by throwing him halfway across the ocean.

Seeing what happened, the two marvels brought Freddy to the wizard SHAZAM who said he could do nothing to help. Figuring out the wizard's clue, the two marvels decided to split the shazam power that they both possessed into Freedy making him Captain Marvel JR. Freddy's feelings for Mary Marvel got him into fights with Captain Marvel who was becoming fiercely protective of his sister, he tried to distance himself from the Marvel Family by joining Young Justice 2, (with fellow members Flamebird,Batgirl III,Lagoon Boy and Beast Boy) after the original team was trying to clear their names, they only lasted one mission. After that, Freddy moved back to New York city where he got an admirer in a girl named Amy, after he saved her from trying to commit suicide. Freddy learned that she had split personalities and called herself Chain Lightning, with the help of Brian Butler (Mr. Scarlet) he managed to subdue Amy and her personalities sending her to STAR labs.

Later Freddy met with a group of teenagers that were calling themselves the Teen Titans (With members Argent II, Joto, Risk, Prysm and a deaged Atom II), with their base destroyed Captain Marvel Jr helped rescue Risk. After they disbanded after Joto’s supposed death, Freddy had decided to join them and got rejected because he couldn't say his name, he came back though and after he helped them beat the Meta-human hunters who had crashed the enlisting party they were holding, got a position in the Teen Titans along with newcomer Fringe (due to Prysm's threat that if Fringe didn't join, she wouldn't join). Freddy had change his name to CM3 after he defeated Captain Nazi on his own in order to not say his name and transform back into Fred Freeman. Teaming up with Gar Logan (Beast Boy/Changling) and Clark Kent/Kal El (Superman) he went into the H'san natal dimension after his teammates and after finding out that Joto was alive and that Prysm and Fringe were staying, the Titans split and CM3 went back to Fawcett City. He also helped with the involvement in the Technis Imperative conflict.

Later, Gar's obnoxious cousin Matt took it upon himself to hold a membership drive party for an all-new Titans West. Although the party was crashed, a few potential members remained. Gar finally agreed to have the team re-form, and Titans West was re-dubbed Titans L.A. CM3 joined along with with fellow members (Beast Boy, Flamebird, Herald, Bumblebee, Terra II, Hero Cruz and Bushido.)

But Titans LA was short-lived; Gar mentioned that no one had any real devotion to the team. Beast Boy and Flamebird attempted to recruit the DEO orphans as the new version of Titans West, but they declined. Eventually, the new West Coast group of Titans dissolved before it even truly began. Freddy had helped out the Outsiders to take down the new Sabbac (Ishmael Gregor) who he found out killed his Foster brother in order to control the demonic entity.

Freddy is started to live in New York City and got his own apartment, getting frequent visits from his surrogate siblings. Upon hearning that they reformed, he joined the newest incarnation of Young Justice (with fellow members Falcon,Secret, Supersonic and Invisible Kid) making him the strongest member on the team.

Before the events of Infinate Crisis, CM3 flew to Atlanta for a bit of a break, there he met Alchemist Daria Scott, after she saved him from an attack by an unstable Chain Lightning, they got together in a relationship that should last for some time.

As of One year Later, Young Justice teamed up with yhe Teen Titans and the Outsiders. As they were fighting on a distant planet, CM3 disappeared to the Rock of Eternity and underwent the Trials of SHAZAM and passed, becoming the new hero Shazam (As Billy was now called Marvel). Freddy still keeps his CM3 name even though now he has to say "Marvel" to change into his powered up self.

Freddy had to undergo the trial of Apollo in the sudden event of him losing his stamina but has gained superb Healing/Renewal abilities. Even though he is now the head of the Marvel Family, Freddy still has a lot to live up to and hopes to get through it with the help of his teammates and his willpower, Freddy Freeman has established his own life and will hopes to be a legend in the superhero world in the future.
