Title: i think Slade like Ravyn
demonqueen - April 15, 2005 06:06 AM (GMT)
im serious. :pissed: if u look in "birthmark", watch what he does. i mean he did things that i dont think a bad guy would do to his enemy
Robin - April 15, 2005 06:19 AM (GMT)
+_+ Or... it could be that Slade is being controlled by Raven's father the demon Trigon the Terrible, who is using Slade as a tool in order to prepare Raven so that she will open the gate to Trigon's dimension...
Slade is a sociopath. He doesn't like anyone. He manipulates them and kills them when they annoy him. Not to mention he's in his mid-50's and she like 16 in that show.
Marx - April 15, 2005 01:44 PM (GMT)
Yeah I agree. If they didn't do anything with Terra and Slade, I doubt they'd do anything with Raven.
demonqueen - April 15, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
yeah, but maybe he didn't like terra. i mean think about it: how often do you see a bad guy stand right behind their enemy. and at the end when he stripped her down to almost less than a bikini. and besides, slade is not in his 50's
Marx - April 15, 2005 01:58 PM (GMT)
How can you be sure? In the cartoon we've never seen his face so we have to go by how old he is in the comics. And I never said Slade liked Terra, but in the comics "things" did happen. *hint hint nudge nudge wink wink*
Robin - April 15, 2005 04:40 PM (GMT)
There is absolutely no way that Slade has a thing for Raven. Slade was 'stripping' her down, because he needed to put on those mystical tattoos, which would then prep her for opening the dimensional portal to Tirgon's dimension. The tattoos needed to be an different parts of her body, and Slade did that in the most invasive of ways. It was so painfully obvious. Slade was being mind-controlled. If it wasn't for Trigon, he would never have given Raven a side-glance, since we all know he's obsessed with killing his rival, Robin.
You're mistaking the infliction of pain, with something not there.
Besides, villains stand behind the heroes all the time, and tear off the their clothes. Doomsday did it to Superman, and unless the rock guy was frustrated about his lack in relationship, I doubt he had a thing for Clark...
And demonqueen, Marx is right. Slade never liked Terra, but he did have his fun with the psychotic little trollop...
Slade is indeed in his mid-50's because back in the old days, he was once in Vietnam, and that was where he got that 'super-soldier' like body serum that gave him his hyper-human skills. Slade is gifted with enhanced strength, rapid healing, long-life and he is able to use 90% of his brain functions. The brain functions thing has been removed in the cartoon from what I've seen, but since the tv show doesn't re-write his origins, that probably means they're the same, much like Robin's, Raven's, Starfire's, Cyborg's and Beast Boy's. Each of them have had hints about their past, and they follow the origins of the characters in the comics.

[COLOR=blue]Slade dose not LIKE Raven!!!!!!!!!!!! In the episode birthmark slade was brought back from the dead by Trigon Ravens father. If you notice that Slade had that syblom on his forhead and how Robin would have killed him but he was under trigons influence.Trigon used Slade because he Trigon connot go into human world to deliver a message and fill the first part of the phoacey.Beside if he liked her which he dosnt dont you think he would treat her nicly instead of attacking her!!!!!!!!! ::teentitans::
Robin - April 16, 2005 10:12 PM (GMT)
...Didn't I just say that...? heh.

ohh one more thing if Slade liked Raven he would noticed her more! If i rember correctly Slade said and i quote "I have a massage for you, It has begun" the factory comes crashing down and Raven frezzes time"yuo might beable to stop time birthday girl but you cant stop me. I have to say Raven when i fond ought the truth i was very impressed, all this time i had no idea the power lurking inside of you,the glorlious destiny that awaits, its always the quite ones isn't it?But honestly did you think that you could just blow out the candles and wish it all away Today is the day it begins. Youv'e known this all your life it is going to happen no matter what you wish no matter where you go no matter hoe you squrim there is nothing you can do to stop it."
See he's on a mission to deliver a message and on the clothriping thing when he tuoches her that part it burned off by the tatooes and also when he grabed her cape it riped taking some of her leotard with it and then she attached him he grabed her wrist and said "You destiny shall be fufilled" then the whole massage or the 'tatooes' came burning the rest of her leotard so that she was in a top and a bottom. There i said my bite

I'm having that dejavu feeling again... lol
Marx - April 16, 2005 10:46 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't say Robin'd never kill. Everyone has a breaking point. We won't know for sure, but after Granny's torture Robin was so trying to kill her when he broke free in OWAW.
Robin - April 16, 2005 10:48 PM (GMT)
Robin SAID he'd kill Granny. But saying that and accomplishing that are two seperate things.
Marx - April 16, 2005 10:53 PM (GMT)
Well yeah that's true, but it wasn't like he was in a sane state of mind at that moment. I doubt he was saying it purely as a distraction. From his point of view his closest friends had been killed in front of him which made him snap. Not saying that if he would have been able to he wouldn't have regretted it for the rest of his life. I'm just saying he'd be capable of it.
Robin - April 16, 2005 10:56 PM (GMT)
Anyone is capable of anything. But in a normal combat situation, Robin wouldn't kill. He's had a lot of oppurtunities before like a time he could have kill the KG Beast. But insane Robin doesn't count, cause he's... we'll insane.
Marx - April 16, 2005 10:59 PM (GMT)
lol Okay, in that sense I agree.
