As assorted heroes gathered to plan Kid Flash's surprise birthday party (in this case Will, Robin, Greta, Cassie, Ray, and Shinobi) they soon find themselves to be the one surprised as they're attacked by Hellfire. (For more information on him go to "The Price of Evil" I'd give you the story where Billy-Secret came back in the first place but it's and unfinished story on the old site. Which is sad when you think about it since he's responsible for Greta getting her powers back. You should feel ashamed! Ashamed! Oh...uh...back to the story.)

Now literally powered by Hell, Hellfire attacked the heroes, specifically the metahumans, also taking out Harm's sais which were the only conduit he could use for the limited white magics he knew. After trapping the superpowered heroes into "Hell Spheres" Hellfire accomplished what he wanted and flame-jumped (flame equivalent to smoke-jumping) away leaving the remaining heroes to try to rescue their teamates.

After Hellfire left with the rest of the heroes, Shinobi took Harm to the medlab though he refused to stay there after he was bandaged up. It seemed that this attack was the last straw for Will as he was heavily considering going back to the dark arts despite the obvious protests from both Robin and Shinobi. But after considering the pros and cons, Will made the decision anyway, he'd be going to Hell for his powers even at the risk of him becoming worse that Hellfire after it's all said and done.

Meanwhile, Robin called an old friend in Empress to see if her mystical powers could help to protect them.

As Robin calls in Batgirl and Boshido and recieve the unexpect Shinigami, Harm arrives back after his brief visit to hell to recover his lost power (See INTO THE FIRE for details). Robin and the others are uneasy about Harm's new power, but they must put their concerns aside as they perpare for to save their allies from the evil Hellfire.

After everyone is ready Harm shadowports them into Hellfire's lair which surprise surprise is Harm's old HQ from when he was evil. As soon as they get there the alarms trigger alerting Hellfire to their presence. Showing off another ability, Hellfire makes miniature versions of himself which can also form into Hellspheres. As the heroes begin to fight back, Harm, Duo, and Batgirl begin to face off against Hellfire directly, while Empress and the others take on the Hellfire clones and try to free the imprisoned heroes.

While Robin and ther others fought Hellfire, HArm traveled to Limbo and battled against the forces there to saved Duo and Wonder Girl's souls. The dark hero is sucesseful, though with some unexpected help. Meanwhile Supersonic has a heart to heart with... himself?

And as Robin prepares to set off his proton guantlets to destroy Hellfire, the missing Titans return. Harm has saved the day, but at what cost?
