I gotta side with Scarlett Witch, despite my immense love for Zatanna.

Wanda is a highly skilled mystic on the same level as Zatanna. She has been able to defeat the strongest of mystical beings single-handedly, she's resurrected dead boy-friends without realizing it (Wonder Man), she's created things that nearly destoryed the entire Avengers and she could destroy the world if her powers got that far out of hand.

And that's only her mystical side. Remember, Wanda is also a mutant who can control probability. Wanda could use her powers to make any spell that Zatanna attempts to go hay-wire.

Zatanna is powerful, but she is more easily defeated. Keep her from talking and she's out of the running. Wanda merely needs to look at someone cross-eyed and they'll go boom.

This is definitely one of the best matchups I've seen so far. I wont lie, I'm a bit befuddled. I think we need some clarification. Prettiest witch? Or Most Powerful?

BTW: Stomp, usually its a question of most powerful, because beauty depends on the artist at the time. I saw one issue of Avengers where Wanda looked like Prof. X in drag and an issue of Justice League where Zatanna looked like she was 50 years old (and no it wasn't a time traveling issue.)

I don't know much about either but if they're around the same power level, but Zatanna has to say her spells while Scarlet Witch doesn't, then I gotta give it to the witch.

Who was the artist of the JL issue? It's pretty true, some artists just seem to have their own estranged view of how female characters should look. And I'll believe anything about the Marvel Universe... even a Prof X tranny running around. Ok but seriously, most artists seem to be able to make their female characters look good, I think the best of em make their male characters just as beautiful.

Oh I couldn't tell you. It was an issue back from the 70's that I flipped through at my comic shops 50 cent bin. Everytime she furrowed her forehead she looked liked like Ronald Regan.

I voted for Zatanna. I don't know much about Scarlet Witch but, from what I do know, Zatanna is mystically superior.

Not when you break Zatanna's jaw she isn't. Then's she's easy pickin'. And Wanda has an impressive left-hook.

And honestly you can't claim Wanda's infirority without knowing the character. Just read AVERNGER'S DISASSEMBLED and you'll see that she's VERY powerful. And again, with her probability altering mutant powers, that gives her an extra kick.

Actually it's a misconception that Zatanna HAS to say the words backwards. She merely does that as a way to focus while doing her enchantment. That's one of the (many) things that bothered me during that fight between the Satellite-Era JLA vs Deathstroke.

Plus is common knowledge that DC's mystics dudes are more powerful than Marvels. That's why I think Zatanna would win this 10 times out of 10.

It took every single member of the Avengers (past and present) plus Doctor Strange to defeat Scarlett Witch during AVERNGERS DISASSEMBLED.

Zatanna needs to speak the spells backwards to focus her powers. If she doesn't, her spells are uncontrollable and don't work how she intends them.

And again, Scarlett Witch's probability powers would cause every single spell Zatanna attempted to go wrong and back-fire.

You've gotta remember Scarlett Witch is an Omega level-mutant and mystic. Zatanna is only a mystic who is still weaker than Dr. Fate.

More likely Wanda will have the upper-hand, because all she has to do is think. She doesn't need to speak in order to focus her spells. And her mutant will make her immune to any spell Zatanna can throw at her.

Okay looks like scarlet witch wins this without even getting out of bed huh?

btw...just how many omega level mutants are there? I know the most obvious ones but how many are there?

And Scarlet Witch gagged Zatanna and was all "Neeeh! That's why I'm prettier than you! Oh I'm sorry do you have something to say?" And she threw Zatanna into an Otakon filled with fanboys who don't get any ensuring her demise. Next one will be up shortly. :D
