Title: Possible YJ or Teen Titans storyline
Description: Either as a major storyline or elseworld

Falcon - May 9, 2005 02:42 PM (GMT)
I was thinking whenever we finish up the other storylines(which I realise could be months from now, but how often do I actually have a good idea?) we could do a 50's storyline. It came to me the other night when mom insistedf on listening to the 'easy listenings' radio station and 'Devil or Angel' was playing. What if something happens to warp the timeline so that YJ/TT/ or whoever are in a alternate demension where they all are fifties kids(And they think they are, too) however, one of the characters was uneffected by whatever the time warp did to the others, perhaps supersonic, or invisible kid, or somebody else) and had to try to convince the others that they WEREN'T children of the 50's watching 'I love Lucy' and hiding underneath their desk in Highschool(Where this would take place. Maybe 'Happy Harbor High') to protect themselves from atomic bombs and that, where said control character came from, they were superheroes. And they slowly began to realize their power and used them to defeat whatever Villian was to be blamed for the act.
Red scare, poodle skirts, and fonzie fun to be had by all.

I like, but maybe we should do a 70's timeline instead.

Robin - May 10, 2005 04:46 AM (GMT)
No, the 50's sounds far more interesting. I like the idea. Would that be elsewhere or regular story though Rachael?

Falcon - May 10, 2005 02:37 PM (GMT)
Haven't decided....I would say 'Elseworlds', but we tend to never even finish most of those....~Still waiting for true believer to post in 'Innocence Lost'~ Maybe. What about Teen Titans tho? Any stories lined up for it when the x-men crossover (which I still have to catch up on..) is done

Also, do you think maybe we should use little anachronisms to lead the charqacters to believe it isn't really the fifties?: Vcr's, laptops, skate boards, ect. Or should it be completely and purely old school?

Marx - May 10, 2005 06:55 PM (GMT)
I'm interested, and I have noticed that we've yet to finish a single Elseworld's story. *sigh*

Robin - May 10, 2005 07:32 PM (GMT)
Well, with Tall-Order MIA, Marx said he's going to play Superboy in the current Elsewhere storyline. But then Matt said that he would post, but as you can see he hasn't and that was apparently 5 days ago... +_+

As for the X-Men/Titans storyline, that story has long been suffering. So we can either drop that story or people can try posting a wee bit more...

Well, this sounds like a decent story idea to me. The Legion actually faced a problem like this a few years ago, thanks to the evil Time Trapper (of course).

I wouldn't mind playing Lyle as the unaffected one, but whoever you guys want would work.

Marx - May 10, 2005 08:39 PM (GMT)
Super could be the unaffected one or the Fonzy-like person(Harm could work with that too), either'd be cool with me.

Robin - May 10, 2005 08:44 PM (GMT)
I think Super should be the one unaffected as well. I mean Invisible Kid is already time lost and having problems viting in the 21st century. The 1950's would probably lead him to suicide. Besides this kind of incident will give Lyle a bettre understand of 20/21st century life, as he will have the memories and understanding of a nativ in this story.

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I am so sorry!! I am the worlds worst poster (well, maybe Matt beats me) but all posts have added love and don't you just go "Wow! She finally posted!!"
FEEL THE LOVE!!

Ahem. Now for my pitiful contribution....which is also filled with love!! and Jello!!

What if we did a World Without Young Justice deal? (I mean, we go through time as often as Bart goes through gamestation games!) So basically everyone goes to sleep and they wake up and its the 1950's!
Think the Mad Mod (Named after Mods and Rockers ;) ) but someone wanting to relive the 50's rather than have Britain rule the world again!! (We did you know, look it up.)
But these are cool chicks and cats!! They won't let the fact that the 'Dolls' have to wear more underclothes than they would a whole outfit! Or that the 'Guys' have to...well look really stupid and smart and stuff.....Yay!
The reason why everyone is acting all 1950'sish is that a brain controling device has been used! so they have to carry on the 1950's life without anyone suspecting while trying to locate and turn off the device, thus breaking the spell and turning everywhere and everyone back to normal!! (um....the Titans aren't effected because they are in the T Tower!!)
So bascally they have to get away with acting like normal kids, going to the diner on a friday night (FUN!) whilst also trying to find out who has done this?!!

Because otherwise we'll be all "powers! WOW! blah blah you're kidding!" which always takes forever.

(Love and Jello not included....and hanging out in a diner would be so fun.)

Shinobi - May 11, 2005 01:38 AM (GMT)
Hmmm, this storyline definetly seems interesting...
And if it does involve any of the YJ cast it could definetly be interesting. Especially for Shinobi in either case (chips or actual time travel) because well...lets face it. After WWII the Japanese werent exactly beloved by the world. Nor the Germans...or the Italians i'll bet...
So hmm...Adam having to deal with that kinda feeling towards him solely cuz of his culture...interesting.

kidflash3 - May 11, 2005 10:25 PM (GMT)
Now that I think about it, cripples had a rough time too, it could be like that for CM3!

Robin - May 11, 2005 10:43 PM (GMT)
Not really. Back in the 1950's its was basically the same deal as it is now, only there wasn't as much in way of medicine and no handicapped parking spaces. And besides, CM3 is only partially crippled. People would pitty him, but they aren't going mistreat him like they would blacks or asians. Freddy can still move around with his crutches and perform normal tasks. Its not like he's missing his legs.

Falcon - May 12, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
Unless he has Polio, yeah, what Robin said. Freddy wouldn't be discriminated.

And also, technically, they wouldn't be time traveling at all. It would be all the same people, no ancestors and no offspring(we've done that enough times, I agree), but the world around them would be altered(alternate demsion being one of the ways to explain it. Also, they would slowly, torpidly regain their powers and memories (or just memrories)as they went along toi find the reality/mind altering semi-corny villian who seems t be somehow connected to happy harbor High after a brief(and I mean brief) intro to them and perhaps a few supporting characters in the fifties(maybe jumping right into the story and explaining it as we go along). Kinda like a mystery thing as they try to figure out who's behind all of it.

Either way. You guys decide which way you want it to go, I guess. Your prging in it too(I hope :thatguy: )

And Lani: It's alright! We realise how much consideration and love(and jello) go into each of your posts. ~Pats back supportingly~ Now if we could just get Matt and Fab to do the same(Post, not fill em' wit' love. Unless, y'know, they want to :D )
