I dunno who or why someone keeps trying to recover my password, but it better stop. I have checked my e-mail 10 times and there is always a new e-mail saying "Password Recovery".

Now, I know you can click that and then just someone elses e-mail adress and it sends them their password, even though you don't get it, but why? Who ever is doing needs tos top before I get pissed. I don't like deleting e-mail all the time.

My password is my own. Anyone found to be tampering with my account if they figure out my password and use it should suffer a permanent ban from this board. I don't think I should have to hide my e-mail address just so little children don't try and annoy me. Nor should I have to change my password, which I will have to now.

Who ever is doing this, please stop. One way or another, it will end. For now I will hide my e-mail adress and change the damn password. I'm not very happy about it either. Lycan

I thought it might be Strike Wolf.. he is permenatly banned as of last night anyway.. I don't know if being banned keeps you from joining the board or if you can't even see it or not. However if he is doing this.. then it's because it's the only thing he can do anymore and he is just trying to mess around with us.. but it doesn't matter in the end.. eventually he will get bored when we aren't doing anything but deleting the e-mails and stop.

If if isn't him.. well, whoever is doing it will get bored for the same reason eventually.

What I find sad is, I gave Strike Wolf a choice, he could have gone through his 7 day suspension and obeyed the rules and come back.. but he choose not to do that.. he chose the road that ended up getting him banned.. truthfully.. that's dissapointing.. I'd rather not have to ban anyone, regardless if I like them or not, if they are annoying or not, but it's my job as an admin.. and it is hard.

The rule on multiple accounts is very explicit, I don't quite get why he was so suprised by his punishment. Even if he was suprised, discussing it calmly probably could have resolved the whole situation. Flaming never helps anything.

Indeed, plus Zelos has helped, he checked the ban setting and fixed some stuff up, wildcarded his IPs, that and the e-mail, so he shouldn't be able to come back.. but we shall still watch.

Actually Lycan, it's dail up users who's IP change.. Strike Wolf was a dail up user.. because it changed a lot.. hard to believe when you see how much he posted... but the IP was banned on wildcard so he can't come back anyway.. even though it changed, the first 2 parts of the IP were always the same and nobody else had the same IP in that way, so it was ok to ban it by wildcard.

You do all realize that this could be easily repeated by him finding a decent proxy, correct? Heck, if I accidently ban myself for some reason, I always just use an anonymous or ELITE proxy server.

So yes, you better hope he doesn't get another ip.

FYI: Proxy servers are the same thing that people who commit credit card fraud use, so if you find the right one, you're untouchable, even by the government.

Well, considering I can access the IP's through alittle hacking, yes, I can hack into the admin CP, but you don't see me being an ass and doing anything, and I can find out things like location if they are online under that IP.

BTW: ELITE proxies are completely anonymous proxies that could make it look like you're coming from mars if they wanted to. You don't get past them.

Strike would most probably have no idea what a proxy is, let alone know how to use one. They're not 100% effective anyway, you can always email the owner and politely request their logs, and if declined you can always bullshit and say that the IP address hacked your computer and that you have a bit of knowledge in how to Portscan. Subtly threaten them with a law suit, there's a law somewhere about how to obtain their logs or something, if I'm not mistaken.

Nah, it's not your attitude. Everyones attitude is different, just because a couple of crackers have some less than desirable traits in their attitude which are seen by the general public doesn't mean that to be able to crack (or hack) you have to be some cocky teenager with a bad attitude. Stereotyping applies to a lot of things.
You just don't seem to be the kind of person with the ability to do any hard-core style hacking. Not trying to be offensive, but most of the people I know who can do any real damage or hack anything big are very well adapt to typing, spelling, grammar, punctuation and well, are nerdy. lol.

;) ELITE and Anonymous proxies don't have logs. Plus if they have a disclaimer openly available, you can't file a lawsuit against them.

Trust me, I know, I used to run an anonymous proxy servers for gamers and game servers. I personally never kept a log, and had about 7 printed pages worth of disclaimer.
