Title: Star Wars: Battlefronts

I heard a lot of good things about this game from my friends and decided to rent it. At first I was a little skeptical...most good star wars games focused on either saber swingin Jedi and Sith or high flying, laser spootin fighters. This game was all about the grunts on the ground. Storm Troopers, Battle Droids, Clones, and Rebels.

But once I sat down and played the game I just couldnt stop. Finally I could restore the good name of Storm Troopers and take care of those Rebel Scum. There were plenty of units for each side, although they were pretty similar they all had certain things that made them different. I really enjoyed mowing Rebels down with the Storm Troopers Blaster Rifle and using the jetpack to leap long distances for close range kills with the Dark Troopers Blaster Cannon.

But what I found I really enjoyed was the vehicles. Nothing beats taking the near invulerable AT-AT for a spin. The AT-ST is also great fun. Never really got the hang of the TIE fighter though.

One thing that stuck me as a little unfair though. In galactic Conquest mode I discovered that after a certain number of turns the Empire didn't need to bother conquering a world...they simply blow it up via Death Star. Kinda cheap if you ask me.

So, anyone else played the game...or should I just stop talking?

Continue.

But mind you,the rebels can use the uprising thingy after 5 battles.Same goes to the CIS and the Republic too. Expect that the Death Star just blows up everything.I think in the other cases, you can use the planetary bonus.

I can't stop playing it,but have to rotate between studies and Fable too,you know..

Let me try to explain the bonuses...

Empire- Death Star- Wipes out an enemy planet.
Rebels- Rebellion- Take over an enemy planet
CIS- Blockade- Wipes out an enemy planet
Republic- Uprising- Take over an enemy planet.

A blockade means you wipe out the whole planet? Didn't know that ? Maybe I should go try it out...

Flying fighters can be relatively easy,if you configure both thumbsticks in a way, that you like..Not just one thumbstick for all directions..the default one,i mean..

I have it for the PC and love it. I love CIS... and oh yeah, if you make a profileand name it Jub Jub all the units except Droideka turn into midgets (like ewoks)

ah so the other groups have a super thing as well...well thats good

I had only rented the game so I didn't exactly get the chance to see everything it had to offer. But I am without a doubt getting it for either Christmas or Chanukah.

No matter what though the empire will always be my favorite group. If I ever have the option to be evil in a game I always take it.

Empire or the Rebels for me...Now that's the tough one...I always seem to get killed by the Rebel's pilot blaster cannon..
