I just got it the other day... AND IT ROCKS!! Anyone else here play it yet?

Is this that new airplane game that seems to ahve pritty good grafics?.

If the one you are talking about is made by NAMCO, yes. I'm currently kicking ass with an F-22 and 2 F-35C's for "Edge" and "Archer", the other people in my squadron. There was a 4th, "Chopper".... but he kicked the bucket as part of the storyline. Kinda sad... he saved my ass many times. Damned F-15's are deathtraps I tell you!

F-15's are air superiority fighters :-D

Got it, played it, beaten it on all but Ace difficulty, and I ain't got much longer to go on that. I have only 1 fightercraft left to unlock, and I'm still working on getting all the special repaints.

ACE difficulty eh? I'm playing it the first time through on ACE... Gotten S's on every mission so far. Which fighter? The Falken? Or the X-02?

I don't know exactly how the Falken uses a Laser. As in guns or special weapon I do not know. If you do not have a plane that uses a laser, you do not have the Falken. Good luck getting it though.

You may be referring to, perhaps, something like a Falken II or III. I'm almost positive I have a Falken unlocked.

But in any case, I'm almost there anyway, so I'll find out soon enough when I go home tonight. :D

No, it isn't. You have to gather the parts for it by destroying certain hangars throughout the game. I have most of the parts myself. I only lack the final one. Beware, it is EXREMELY expensive to buy...

You may be thinking of the S-37...except for the X-02, that was the Top Plane in AC4: Shattered Skies. Extremely agile, a smidge faster than the standard SU-37 Super Flanker, but quite unstable, compared to the Super Flanker.
Looks like an X-29 on 'roids.

I want to get Unsung War. I've beaten AC4 so many times...I just need to unlock the X-02, I can never quite get to it...I've come really close, tho.

Are the Graphics that great? cuz I thought they looked kickass!

A day? No, no... you are mistaken. This game would take more than a day to beat. You got like 30 planes to unlock, a bunch of medals to earn, 30 something missions to go through, secret uber-powerful plane to assemble. Oh no, this game'll take like a week to complete.

I suggest buying it. 4 had 18 I think. The last mission was frickin easy...

The X-02? Its alright... I prefer the Super Flanker myself. Did you get all the paint jobs?

The graphisc are awesome. The storyline is compelling, and you a WIDE selection of aircraft.

Can you get Russian jets like the MiG-29 Fulcrum?

You can get better than the Fulcrum...
SU-37 is Sukhoi 37, a Russian high-performance jet which outmaneuvers even the F-22 Raptor, so the Fulcrum does not stand a chance against it.

dunno about AC5, but in 4, the FUlcrum's easy as pie to shoot down. In the last mission of AC4, I always use the F-4 tho. It's perfct forgetting through the missile hatch at the very end. THe biggest plane I've successfully completed that level with were the F-22 Raptor and the RM-01 Rafale.

AC5:UW sounds awesome! it's more of a strategic RPG type of game, isn't it? Only, that's what I've been told.
AC4 of course, was a pure 3rd-person dogfighter.
Funny enough, the Stonehenge level, halfway through Four, was harder than the Megalith Level. I use smaller planes in both, higher maneuverability.
Hardest for me was the "City" level, where you have to fight Yellow Squadron at the end. What I do is use the SU-37 w/ LASMs, then just before the Ospreys show up, I go back and switch to the QAAM.
Shoot down the Ospreys w/ the machinegun, and then take on Yellow Squadron with full complement of missiles.

Am I rambling again?

I frankly never used another planein 4 once I goy the Sukhoi line of fighters unlocked.
