I have two in my backyard.

We had a fundraiser thing here where people would put flamingos in your yard, and you had to pay to get them moved.

You could pay more to have them moved to a specific house.

Which means that people around here don't like them much... Although not enough to be overly upset about them.

I guess West Virginians are neutral to flamigos. If you lived in Manhattan in my state there wouldn't be room to put the flaminagos...welcome to the most dangerous city were if (there're really no lawns in mahattan, except for a few) you put a flamingo it would be considered a security risk and a WMD Lauching pad.

(Mommy... why are the big men from the US Homeland Security taking out the "puurrty" flamingo with a high-powered sniper rifle?)

I always make jokes about my state (NY) always having such high security. They even sent humvees patroling Manhattan's streets right after 9/11, though I was hoping to for tanks.

Actually right now I'm in Indiana for Christmas break. I was lazy and didn't update my location... I don't think I've seen in flamingos in West Virginia.

Granted, I don't really remember seeing any pink flamingos at all..., aside from the previously mentioned fund raiser.

I know someone who got beat up by a pink flamingo...

but I DO know someone at my school who got into a fight with his locker and lost, breaking his arm in the process too...normally someone would feel bad for him but considering his past and the fact that his locker beat him up.......yeah...
