Title: PStwo

I've got the new slim design PS2. Wow. I never knew it came with a built in Network Adapter...Anyone else have the new PS2? Maybe we can play SOCOM or something online.

There's no difference really in the slim and regular well except what you mentioned, and the novelty idea, I think.

Did you just get it? Well if you did I think you should've waited for PS3, it's gonna come out in like a year (which is enough to make me wait).

I hate it because it cant use the FF11 hard drive and you need to buy a new tap. I might have traded in my PS2 normal if I wasnt play FF11 and if they made them it different colors.

It can't? FF11 is like one of the best games. But noneless Sony said they actualy underesitmated the popularity and underproduced it, that's why there're kinda hard to find at the moment. Many people had to cross it off their chrismas list.

...Xbox 2 is (projected to come out) next year...
...PS3 is (projected to come out) 2006...
...we know nothing about "Revolution"...

That is your next-next gen console update of the day

Sony is SLOW in the PS3 devolopement, blame the fact it develops too many other things. But I think we've been waiting too long for PS3 it's taking forever, and look Xbox 2 is going to come out soon.

Xbox is a rip-off. It's basicaly buying a [outdated] PC that (should) doesn't come with a OS but some cheap interface (at least we won't need a firewall or anti-virus or even Windows Update) for playing games and has some "special" hardware. Why should they sell different versions? Why can't Xbox double as a normal computer? It has everything except normal ports and the right software (and it's made by Microsoft doesn't that tell you ONE good thing it should have, well pushing aside the OS holes) it really pisses me off on how Microsoft ripped us off.

Yesterday's mood toward Microsoft: Neutral

Today's mood toward Microsoft: Pissed

...if you hate Microsoft so much, why buy their products? I don't get that. People do nothing but gripe about something, be it Microsoft, a TV show, a band, whatever...and then they go out and keep buying/watching/listening to their stuff, gripe, repeat. Buh?

...I dunno about you but for most gamers, the long wait is a good thing...only among casual gamers is it not...

I'm not an Xbox fanboy but still....you know it's not easy to create a product to satisfy the demands of every single person...complaining doesn't do anything...

anyways...

My friend has the slim PS2, it looks nice and it saves a lot of space, but I'm content with my current one..

Yes long time IS GOOD (like Half Life 2, it turned out great after what, 6 years of developement?)

But I haven't heard any news really on Sony's devolopement on PS3, well besides they were going to use IBM chips but that was like months ago. That's all I know about their development, though I'm sure their're being secretive.

Lookie it's Gordan Freeman

...that wasn't the point...

would'nt you go nuts if Sony released a new console every month? I know I would...

VegaObscuraTheKing - December 30, 2004 12:49 AM (GMT)
...I feel like pelting you with many various things, ZeroRaven.

I hate non-Microsoft fanboys (you know...those who live to create flame wars and/or live for bitching about microsoft).

Xbox was/is not a rip-off. It is actually a great console, especially considering the fact that it was an entry console for Microsoft.

And it isn't an outdated PC. I've opened one up, I know what's inside. It doesn't have a video card, it has an internal video chip. It's got a harddrive and dvd drive, motherboard and processor, fans and such. It is a GAME CONSOLE. To call it a PC is just...stupid, let alone wrong. Is it like a PC? Sure! Is it a PC? Hell no.

And, on the outdated spectrum of the market...

Consoles: Xbox is the most powerful (graphics and otherwise), thusly, HIGH END OF SPECTRUM.
Parts as far as computers go: Middle of Spectrum. It has a heavily modified geforce 3 (which is better than the MX series of the geforce 4s), an 800mhz (or so) processor, and an 8 gig harddrive (which I haven't even broken into in terms of use).

...as Tilly said...if you hate it so much, disconnect yourself from Microsoft and stop bitching about it.

And the newest PS3 news, but the way, was earlier this month with the news of their cooperation with nVidia. (as opposed to Xbox Next's cooperation with ATI).

PS3 won't be coming out for a looong time. Sony just finished the PStwo and they still have to worry about the new warranty. A lot of people have been having problems with it. Sony also has to worry about their PSP. They still have to finish the product, release it, and wait for all the feedback. I CAN'T wait that long for a PS3.
