I was wondering how many people got Doom 3 today or planning to soon cause I got it today and well, there was so many copies left.

I might but then I may die

What, it came out today? I was not aware of that. I guess that tells you my answere. I just do not have a powerfull enough comp to get the game. If it were not for that, I just might have bought it. It has been getting pretty good reviews though, but I do not know if it is worth spending a lot of money on. Tell me how it is will you, I am still very interested. Canute out.

It's runs great on my comp, but lags sometimes when you cut like 10 guy with the chain saw and the bloods is flying.
If I had to descibe it in one word I'd say 'bloodbath'
When to sum it, it's the best first person ever, well untill Half Life 2 comes out then it will be the bloodiest first person ever. The best thing is you can see all the insides if you chop a guy in half.

I used to play Doom when I was younger but then I realized how crappy it was and that's when I stopped playing. To answer your question, no, I will not be getting Doom 3. My computer's not powerful enough to run it anyway, even if I did want it.
Ever played Dark Forces? Now that was a cool game.
Canute - August 4, 2004 02:55 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I do not know if any FPS will ever convince me that Perfect Dark isn't the best FPS of all time. It had to be the multiplayer options. It had the most and best options out of any FPS of all time imo. Ah, the memories of all of my friends crammed into one room playing that for hours, tweeking the options and what-not.
Speaking of multiplayer, does Doom 3 have any at all, cause that would give me more incentive on getting it. Canute out.

*smiles and laughs crazily* $58 was pretty steap for a game...but...BLOOOOD EVEERY WHERE!!!!
Multiplay lags a little...maybe I'll tone down some resources on that one...but...well...I gotta kickass system...complete with Radeon 9800 Pro.
Malakym - August 5, 2004 04:50 AM (GMT)
well I guest that is estpeted.

Doom 3 isn't on windows 98 -_-
Well, it works on Linux.. i'll download the linux demo if the offer one. It's not supposed to run on geforce 2, but I'll just have to see.. Geforce 2 TI is as good as a geforce 4 MX 440 anyway, so shouldn't be *that* slow.
Malakym - August 6, 2004 01:55 AM (GMT)
I have an Radeon 9600 so it will work!

Kind of an old topic, but I'm reviving it...
I just got the game... my verdict: Scary as hell, but their are a few annoyances. The no-flashlight-with-a-weapon is VERY annoying. How am I suppose to shoot at something I can't see?
Then comes the problem that Doom keeps crashing back to the desktop <_< . I have a top of the line computer, so I don't know why this is happening. The graphics tend to "roll" as well...
I'll need to find some way to fix this...
K-62 - August 8, 2004 10:48 PM (GMT)
It seems that eveyone is having that problem so they say a patch is coming out soon. How come I never had that porblem?
And the no flashlight thing well it wont be fun if it was bright.
Have you found out that its a remake of the first. I just noticed that.
VegaObscuraTheKing - August 10, 2004 05:15 AM (GMT)
well....modders are working on a fix so that it should work on 98/ME.
Modders have made a "duct tape mod...where the flashlight is part of the gun" mod...so...go out and find it!
I like the game as a whole...just like the classics...but a lot scarrier.
