Title: Favorite Band
Flying Shadow - March 5, 2005 04:49 PM (GMT)
My favprite band, well right now is Green Day (it'll probably change in a month or so :P). I recently bought their newest cd, American Idiot, and I'm hooked on it! If no one has listend to them I highly recomendend them.
duke - March 5, 2005 04:50 PM (GMT)
My favorite band would have to be Linkin Park.
Tilly - March 5, 2005 05:05 PM (GMT)
At the moment, IlikeBadfingerwhee.
Er...consistent favorites? R.E.M., early Chicago...Cream?
I keep hearing people talking about American Idiot, but I haven't listened to the radio in so long I don't think I'd know Green Day if I heard them...
Flying Shadow - March 5, 2005 08:51 PM (GMT)
ohhh, Linkin Park is also a good one, have their cds as well. R.E.M is also good, haven't listened to them for awhile.
duke - March 5, 2005 08:55 PM (GMT)
I've liked Linkin Park since there first CD. I really hope they make a new CD soon. Their last CD (not including the one with JZ) was released years ago.
Atrophy Within - March 5, 2005 11:56 PM (GMT)
1.) Stabbing Westward
2.) Nine Inch Nails
3.) A.F.I. (A Fire Inside)
4.) Nirvana
5.) Creed
Ummm, I won't bother listing more since I have many. I usually determine what Bands are my favorite by considering which oens I can listen to every single song they have written, and enjoy them. Every band I listed except A.F.I. I can listen to ALL of their songs and love them all. Although I don't like all of A.F.I.'s songs, the ones I do are so good in my opinion, they more than make up for the songs I dislike by them.
Kirbymaster212 - March 6, 2005 12:22 AM (GMT)
GREENDAY! NOW AND FOREVER (from 1,039 to American Idiot!)
I hope you listened to more than American Idiot, the have A LOT of good songs...
anyway... runners up:
Billy Talent
System of a Down
Godsmack
Weird Al!
etc....
Hetman - March 6, 2005 02:20 AM (GMT)
In no particular order:
Dream Theatre
Nightwish
Disturbed
Dragonforce
Metallica
Children of Bodom
Green Day (Old and new)

And thats only the tip of the iceberg.
Linkin Park... I guess that kind of music drives 14 year old hormones crazy... may I mention that most of the songs with collabouration with Jay-Z are flat?
FEEL TEH ANGST!
If anyone mentions Good Charlotte in their favourites, I'm going to stab them like hell.

Dang, my tastes are so distant from almost everyone else's...well, with the likely exceptions of HaTcH and VOtK.
Here, how about other bands/artists I like a lot...*copypastes from Zoids GC, edits a bit because she forgot stuff*
The Beatles, Jethro Tull, Buffalo Springfield, ELO, Deep Purple, The Smiths, U2, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the Moody Blues...
Recent obsessions are AC/DC (screechyyy...) and Badfinger.

There's some good stuff in there. Clapton's really good, and I like Dylan. Led Zeppelin kicks ass, and Jimi Hendirx is pretty good too. U2 and Neil Young are good too. Never understood the whole Beatles thing though...I just don't think they're that great...Good, yes, but not good enough for the obsessed following they have.
AC/DC ROCKS!!
Linkin Park, Creed, Altered Bridge (Yes, I know they're Creed w/o Scott), Nickelback, Guns 'N Roses, Bon Jovi, Eagles, 3 Doors Down, Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts (I think I spelled it wrong...I forget how they spell it), Green Day...I'll stop there....
EDIT: They're not bands, but I have to add in John Mayer and Brad Paisley.
*ninja vanish*
Tilly - March 6, 2005 06:07 PM (GMT)
I think part of what I like about the Beatles is their sense of humor. Songs like Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Run For Your Life, Her Majesty...they're fun.
And they were quite innovative in their day...although it's mostly their later stuff I like.
MrGuy - March 6, 2005 06:18 PM (GMT)
I like Clapton and Young as well... just not enough to list them as my favorites. My dad listens to both of them all the time, so I blame him for originally gettting me to like them.
Haha! The Moody Blues? My cousins listen to them all the time and usually force me to listen to them as well. I don't really like them as much as Clapton or Young, but they aren't bad.

Lmao, I used to love GC, but now I don't find them all that great.
I have all of Green Day's cds, I love them all, each and every song *licks them*.
AFI and Creed are also amoung my favorites, no matter what I love all of Credd's songs, they're all so addicting! @_@

Eh, Honky Tonk U is a good song. American Soldier is better, as are Whiskey Girl, Should've Been a Cowboy, and that Mexico song of his (I can't remember the name).
I've got a new country singer to add to my list: Blaine Larsen. I've used a bunch of free iTunes songs to dl most of his debut CD. The kid (yes, he's a kid, he's only 18) is amazing. Anyone who doesn't listen to country should at least take the time to at least listen to his first radio song: "How Do You Get That Lonely". It's an AMAZING song. Sad, but really really good.

"Stays in Mexico" is the songs name. Those are all good songs.
And, Blain is awesome. He has some really good songs, and yes, for an 18 year old, he definetly shows he will be a very great artist. Heck, he already is in my opinion.
There is another new country singer I saw in a Country tv station, but I forget his name. Or, at least THINK he is new. I really don't know, but one of his songs is "I Should be Sleepin". VERY good song. *is listening to it now*
You have an Ipod.... I have, Kazaa....   Who saved the most money? lmfao... I'm kidding. Ipods are cool, but I never could bring myself to pay for all the stuff, I honestly DO get for free. I like how small the Ipod is though, as its awesome for using while in class. Collge professors wills ee a cd player, before a tiny Ipod. lol
Sir Maverick - April 21, 2005 10:16 PM (GMT)
I don't have an iPod. I wish I did. You need iTunes to dl the free songs from Pepsi bottle caps. That's why I have it. I've got a CD Player and a mini-disc player (though I need mini-discs, so the mini-disc player doesn't do me a whole lot of good, beyond the one mini-disc that came with it [which I've already filled up with Bon Jovi and 3 Doors Down]).
There's two different songs you could be talkin' about. Emerson Drive (a band) sings a song called "I Should Be Sleeping", and I believe Clay Walker has a similarly titled song. Clay Walker's not new, but he's been out of the scene for a while, and he looks a lot different than he used to, so I'm betting it's his song you're talkin' about.
Atrophy Within - April 21, 2005 10:23 PM (GMT)
Emerson Drive I believe is the name. Its on my computer somewehres but I don't feel like looking for it... hehehe
Demon_Within - May 12, 2005 12:25 AM (GMT)
Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, AC/DC, Tom Jones, Beetles, Tom Petty, Neil Diamond (sadly some songs interest me). Thats about it that come to mind within a few seconds. They are not in order, but who cares. Just a few bands I enjoy from time to time.

Back in the USSR was the Beatles doing 2 things: 1, making fun of their competition (beach boys) 2, prooving that they could do a song like the beach boys.

I think they were also highly creative.. remember when Lennon said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus and everyone took it like OMG!! BEATLES = SATAN or whatever.. Then they come out with "We Can Work it Out" as sort of an appology...
"...try to see it my way, only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong.... Life is very short, and theres no time for fussing and fighting my friends..." And its a good song to boot!
I also think the Beatles are a fun kind of music. Alot of their pre-drugs stuff is really light hearted and sing-along-able (o_0;).
Hetman - June 1, 2005 07:59 AM (GMT)

But I saw a pic and thought B.J was cute. Its like Gorillaz. U cant say any of them are cute because u dont know what they really look like. I love their new song...isent it "Feel Good Inc."?

Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Lostprophets, Bon Jovi, Simple Plan, Green Day, and Good Charlotte.
