Well, my laptop CAN'T display any higher than 1024x768. Same with my old compy.

Even if I could make the resolution higher, I think I'd go blind.

....I prefer not to go blind when I type up fics....800X600 is perfect for me. 1024X768 is a big large for drawing too...>>

You could change the type size in Wordpad or whatver...I've done that when my eyes were being particularly annoying. Without changing the font, I mean...I think it's control-scrolly wheel. Not sure how to do it without a scrolly wheel...

The only reason I might want a bigger res would be for drawing, really.

I have 1024X768 and it shows fine, but the whole drawing things make sense.

With XP its nice, I have a huge desktop but don't strain to read it. You can set the fonts for windows to Large and it just scales everything up for high res people. I also stretched the task bar to be double wide so I can see the date better, more icons, and avoid that windows XP grouping thing.. I personally can't stand 800x600 except for gaming, 1024x768 makes my screen wonky (standing ripples from out of phase signal), and 1280x1024 is perfectly matched for this monitor. Theres however many pixels exactly. (flat screen) Too bad though, a 400x400 graphic appears rectangular o_O;

It sucked when I had to do LU over... The old one was designed for 1024 but I decided to make the new one 800 friendly.

I also have an issue of unable to read my windows toolbars etc. at 1024X768...T^T Because it's not in English...and Chinese is hard to read when it's small...><

And I can't draw on any bigger resolution because I'd make all of my pics too big (they're already big...X_O) and OC will start to hate me...;___; I have a crappy comp with no RAMS to run anything! XD;

Ohh...yeah, tiny characters are ouch. Like HaTcH said, you could up the font size...I know I would if I had Windows in Japanese or something.

OC = Open Canvas, one of my fav art programmes, which hates me when my document resolution is over 2000.

Hmmm, I could, but I'm use to 800X600...=3 I guess this is really all personal preferences...>W<
