errr, yeah, the topic says it all. The current banner is nice and all, but it's been half a year...change would be nice though ^_^...(unless no one wants change of course..)

So, is everyone for change or against it???

Anyways, how about we have everyone submit their attempt at a banner and people can pick which one. ^_^ I wonder where Blade and Lifesaurer are, they could make something nice I suppose...doubt they'd come back just for this though.

It's a decent banner.

I do have photoshop, but I am not as good as Blade or Lifesaurer with it just yet.. so I don't think I can make a banner that good right now...

any feedback on how to make it better??? (besides shrinking the height)

The height is fine, the length is a little big... a different zoid perhaps.. a CG one.

well, if I had permission to use a CG, then that would work....

As for the length, it's the same as the current one...

-A Gensis themed banner with Bio Raptor and Blastor Tiger
-A Fuzors themed banner with Liger Zero Falcon and either Gairyuki Destroy, Gairyuki Shin, or Liger Zero Phoenix....or the Matrix Dragon

GENISIS!!!!! That would be so newage... lol... Well, ti would work since Genisis is beign released now... More on time with current stuff, or whatever... Hurry and finish it so we can see... You got me itnerested...

Almost finished...might not use the Brastle since it won't render properly...might use the Murasame Liger or Lance Stag instead...or perhaps the Wars Tiger or Sword Wolf

Should use one of the promo shots of the Bio Raptor, like a CG. Would look better, the Brastle looks bad, the background is too light, and you should fit in Maresume or whatever Liger that is instead of Brastle...

the Bio Raptor CG would be a nightmare to render...plus there's way too much covering it anyways...

meh, I don't like the whole thing overall...if I had official art instead it would look so much nicer...

letsee, I'm now gonna attempt a Fuzors banner...two ideas...either Gairyuki Destroy (though I'll need to wait for better clips before taking screens) and Liger Zero Falcon....or Liger Zero Phoenix and Matrix Dragon...

Or I also have this nifty idea with the Gravity Saix and Tsurugi...don't ask...Tsurugi, Baluf, and Fan happen to be my favorite characters from Fuzors...heheheheh

Fuz, are you using photoshop to make those? They are good for their degree in crappiness I suppose, it's mainly the images, but I think it's ok, again it's too long, and I mean for 800x600 resolution, people do use that resolution.

500x125 pixel banners seem to work.... like my current one.

I need to learn more photoshop to make my own banner that is halfway decent, I have photoshop CS, just don't know enough to make a good banner. For example, the background effects in those banners Fuz just made.. no idea how to make those.. I'm that new to photoshop.

Anyone that knows photoshop well want to help me, lol. I'll just figure it out as I go I guess..

I'm using Photoshop 7...which is pretty much the same thing as CS/8.0....

Just learning.. actually in the last hour I made some significant progress, mainly in learning how to do the background effects.. but I had help from Blade on AIM.. he just pointed me in the direction of where to go in photoshop to do the stuff.. the rest I figured out on my own. So it's not as much of a mystery to me anymore, now that I understand filters and blending and all of that.

That's probably why I'm better with Rockman banners...I have higher quality renders and screencaps available to me...

Yeah, I'd say the best zoid banners come from CG zoid pics.. and there are a couple sites with them, and you can ask people.. or try searching.. Blade says he preferred CGs because of the simple background, easy to take out, magic wand tool.

As for the brightness of the background, just make it darker really.. change the filters and such.. shouldn't be that hard.

Well.. yeah! Thats what I'm here for! I can code a random banner easy. (and it would be really easy to add more in the future)
JavaScript would do us up fine. If you can give me a list of URL's I can write a couple lines of code to pick one at random. I really like the idea.

To take it a step further, perhaps anyone with some pencil skills could create a basic banner and we could use that too. Like I could draw a cwolf or a liger or something and add the Zoids Evo heading to it, others could do the same.

@S_F I'd appreciate being asked that! Dont forget though, that having every released zoids DVD thus far, I am capable of getting pretty much any zoid's/character's screen cap. All I need is an episode number.

They wouldn't have to be, but it would be best to have them all the same size.

I know how to put some effects on zoid pics.. like wind, gives it a speed effect, like the FP in my banner.. although that's Blades, I know how he did it. So if that makes the zoid pics look good for the banner.. also there are many other effects I've played around with.

I think a Liger Zero banner would be most appropriate, though, seeing as Liger Zero is t3h ic0n. Either that, or Gojulas. Gojulas and Liger Zero are the best known Zoids, by far...
