Title: Problems with AIM

Before anyone asks me to go tell AOL about this...
...been there, done that, got a totally irrelevant answer.
Basically, long story short...I get disconnected almost every 5 minutes. On top of that, both the messages I send and recieve tend to be delayed by 10 seconds or so. It's annoying the crap out of me as everytime I wanna talk to anyone, I constanly miss half the messages. Bleah, I've tried everything I could think of short of completely reinstalling AIM...and it's still been bothering me for about a week now....*cries in corner*
BTW, I'm using AIM 5.5.3145 with MiddleMan installed....

Thats about the time you switch to another internet provider... Nothing else much to do, unless you have a virus, or simply need to reinstall, you are screwed. AOL sucks, I'm sorry to say as it has that problem alot. I know literally hundreds of people fom my colelge who have nothing but problems from AOL...
Yahoo SBC is pretty good. Its given me no problems, and its cheaper than AOL... :lol: Meh, reinstall, THEN consider other options...

Use trillian? Thats my alternative. The AIM software sucks, its chocked full of ads, useless buttons, a crappy interface and all those windows... OX

LoLz...somehow I knew you'd say that so I started before you made the post. Are there any mods out for Trillian that allow me to automatically log conversations???

I suggest maybe trying to get a different port though auto-configure in setup before you login, that thing works wonders. Solves over 50% of my AIM problems....
First before you sign in setup>connection>autoconfigure or reset or whatever.

^ tried that, didn't work. All it did was up my connection to 10 minutes before disconnecting, which is still annoying.
EDIT: ack, Trillian disconnects me too...I think it has to do with the sn...bleah...at least it lasted half and hour.

In Trillian, all chats are logged. Well that is in version 2, the new version I was told sucked, if you want the new one I can get it to you.
