Description: read webcomics

A small collection of well know but good sits.

Homestar Runner
your really there for Strong Bad Email though

Neurotically Yours
very funny, but one VERY explict Squirrel; so best to watch when your not at the office, in school, or with your parents around (atleast not without headphones) heh

VG Cats
Aries and Leo are thrown into the millard of games the creator plays on a weekly basis, often just to take the piss. Again some comics from time to time use strong language.

My Extra-Life
my old friend Scott does this one, it used to be based around what happens in the games industry, but now his old age is kicking in they're just funny strips making fun of things we all know far too well. what for his strange obsession with World of Warcraft. ;)

Penny Arcade
It's pretty popular, and at times funny; but not something I like much. ^_^

I'll add more when I remember them

Ugh, not Foamy. x_o; Homestarrunner I enjoy. Though those two sites don't count as "comics," heheh.

VG Cats is fairly popular it seems, I've only read a few strips. I haven't heard many good things about Penny Arcade. o_0 Dunno about your friend's yet, I'll have to take a look at it. XD

I recommend...

Van Von Hunter - Fantasy/comedy about a hero and his adventures to destroy that which is evil within a kingdom that suffers from a spell inducing amnesia (as represented by his female side-kick who has no name). I like it, dunno if it's everyone's type of humor...

l33tpixelz - Comedy/drama video game-ish related comic as the main character jumps out of a second story window to save his PS2 and ends up in the hospital thinking that he is now the hero of a game and destined to save the world! Thus follows his antics of befriended other "party" members which includes a cactus (I love cactus). The real mystery is... is he really crazy or has he actually stumbled upon a great adventure to save the world? I'm not really sure. I've done some art for this one and I'm still confused. XD; Sadly this comic is currently on pause as the creater is focusing his energies towards creating a flash cartoon (which I hope to do a voice for. eek).

Esc - Fantasy comic that my current webhostess has going. I don't quite know how to describe this one, but it involves a scientist (Dr. X), his newly hired female assistant (Helen), and his robot girl "daughter" (Elbee) as they stumble into a world of fantasy. I personally like Gavriel, an angel who's supposed to watch over Dr. X, but neglected to stop a vengeful mail-man. XD Of course that's just the fangirl in me.

Um, I've finally got my webcomic started, though there's only a cover and one page up so far, so it seems kind of silly to advertise it, but...

Tag - Sci-fi/comedy? There's not much to say at the moment. The story follows two guys who travel through space taking on different jobs and stuff. Ones a fairly reserved techie from Mars, the other is a crazy Japanese guy from Earth. I'm just starting off with some character development for now before I delve into a bigger storyline. I also rate it PG-13 for language and violence. o_o;;;

I remember when I did that link banner rotater for KyuuTip on L33tpixelz. :P What fun.

@Jammer: I <3 the new Tag layout =] http://www.bearcreekfire.com/zoids3d/lu2.jpg XD

Heheh, My Extra-Life is amusing. I don't quite get everything, but I liked the Star Wars ones. XD

Yes, Hatch, you helped me with the .css for my site. I'm unoriginal. XD; Sammich helped me get the basics of php. I thought I'd never learn either of those. o_o

NEVER! Well I like actual manga, *hugs manga collection* I will never give it up for webcomics. Though tomy did seem to have created some zoids webcomics, but its all in Japanese but its publicily available. Lost the link meh.

Anyway VG Cats is cool, but I read it only time to time.

Penny arcade did some nice Half Life comics....

I'm really picky when it comes to webcomics, there are very few that I actually find worth reading. The problem is that comics are hard to write, they're their own medium and don't work like any other storytelling device, yet they combine elements that can be found elsewhere. Humour strips are especially hard as comedy is one of the the most difficult things to write. It can be hard to come up with a joke that is funny to a wide audience, and not just yourself or your friends.

I could go on and on about comics, but yeah, there's a lot more printed material that I enjoy. Though even some of those can be pretty crappy.

I personally can not even look at MegaTokyo.

what about the Zoids Webcomic?

ZeRoRaVeN - June 7, 2005 09:46 PM (GMT)
Meh it was in Japanese...couldn't understand it.

Besides the GOOD comics are offline. 'cuz the artists get paid to do it, very few people publish online becuase they don't make money. Oh well I buy manga.

Manga manga mangay manga!

Shonen Jump came late. It came today. Its over 7 days late.

Aside from one webcomic (I don't like it now), there hasn't been one I actually liked. I only like 2 newspaper comics and I read manga the most.

From my experience, webcomics suck.

I don't see a 'Foamy' topic on this board. I also don't see what is wrong with adding it to the list above. It's not like he *must* have special treatment.
