Title: PINK FLOYD: REUNITED
Description: LIVE 8 concert, London England

Sky Dragon - July 5, 2005 03:10 AM (GMT)
Unfortunaetly, I could not go the the Live8 COncert in London, whihc is to raise funds/awareness for poverty in Africa.
It was organized by Bob Geldoff, who directed (?) The Wall, and marked the long-awaited return of the Gods of Rock'n'Roll...

PINK FLOYD, performing "Breathe", "Money", "Wish You Were Here", "Comfortably Numb"...

Also, U2, who performed "Vertigo", "One", and, and such acts as Elton John, Paul McCartney, REM, Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, Sting, and Snoop Dogg (what WAS Snoop doing there? completely out of his element, IMO)

Anybody can discuss, and if anybody was fortunate enough to be there...I envy you a whole lot...

Hope PINK FLOYD come over to the 'States...I wanna see 'em LIVE!

That sounds like one hell of a concert. How awesome would it have been to see all those legends performing together?

...uh, and Snoop too, I...guess.

...man, I wish I'd known about that. Not that I'd have had the money, but eeeeh, REM. And a bunch of other cool bands/artists too :p.

I've missed out on a ton of bands/people I really wanted to see in concert for various reasons...including Jethro Tull just recently. ARGH.

A pink floyd concert in america would sell out sooo fast... I mean, the U2 one comming up in Philly was like booked in a few days.

Anyway, I would love to see PF in concert... wow... how neat would that be...

In 2002 I saw the Who perform at Hershey Park Pennsylvania. I have a shirt and a road cone to prove it! XD

I've got some of that yellow-and-black barricade tape from when U2 performed at Autzen Stadium a couple of years ago. (Oh, believe you me, someday it will be worth MILLIONS.) My friend and I decided on a lark to drive out and park behind the stadium to listen to them play...heard "Mysterious Ways", among others. And saw a really really drunk guy staggering around. Heh.

There's a Pink Floyd cover band, the Floydian Slips, that plays at a local arthouse theatre every now and again...I keep thinking it'd be neat to go see them, but I always get distracted and forget to buy tickets.

I remember about a year ago that there was a symphonic band playing Pink Floyd stuff near where I live. Too bad I was away that day and couldn't go to see it, but theres nothing like the authentic band... even if they are on stage with like 500 other people and instruments!

I was checking ticketmaster and I saw that Tom Petty is going on tour to Scranton, which is like 20 minutes away... From what I hear though, the place the band is going sucks, but the tickets are kinda cheap, maybe I'll make plans to go.

I know my sister, her boyfriend, and my mom are going to see Kenny Chesney.. they offered me to go and I was like... hell no! XD

Yeah, I saw Tom Petty at the Post Gazette Pavilion about a month ago. He was with The Black Crows. Man, what a concert. He played all of his hits, and the energy of the crowd was insane. There was a lot of weed there, too, which MAY or MAY NOT have been a good thing, depending on who you are o.0

Pyscual - August 4, 2005 06:30 PM (GMT)
Well, weed is never really a bad thing. If you don't like it, it's not like they're forcing you to smoke it. And if you can't stand the smell of weed, you have no buisness being at the concert...

Try going to a Phish concert some time...
