I have been looking for A good RPG for a WHile can anyone help me. I can't Play Runescape so that's out.
Conquer pretty good for something thats free and its like Runescape but 1000000000 times better(Runescape is crap)
DO Online is good too but last time I play it it was in beta so its might be p2p now.
Kotor or kotor 2 are both great if you like Starwars or just a good storyline.
Fallout is also good, its just a bit old so some people are like "I cant play this the graphics suck"(I hate those people so much).
Thats bout all I can recommend for pc anyway.
Dungeons and Dragons. No, seriously. It's great fun. I'd recommend 3rd Edition (technically 3.5 but who cares neh?) because anything else involves alot more math. But it's easy to learn and you can be anyone you want, and do almost anything. No two games are the same. You can get really fun situations out of it too. For example, as DM once, I got a player to launch his character out of a giant crossbow.
White Wolf Publishing's World of Darkness games are great fun toi though you need to be a more serious player and more mature than you'd need to be for other games because of the material that you deal with. Some of the games are:
Vampire: The Masquerade
Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Mage: The Ascension
Their game Aberrant is also great fun and can be highly whimsical but I've less experience with it.
Heheh. My brother and I really wanted to get into tabletop RPG's but we don't know anything about them, where to start, or anyone who plays.
If you happen to know anything or site that explains some of that, I'd be happy to read it.
Here's the stuff for D&D 3.5
System Reference DocumentWOTC put that up when they decided to revamp 3rd Edition just after it was released as a peace offer for all those who'd spent a few hundred dollars on books already. As for find people, ask friends if they want to try or sometimes game shops have bulletin boards for advertising. You can play a game with only two people though.
