Title: Evil artwork smudge
Description: Make it go away!

ZeRoRaVeN - August 31, 2005 06:52 PM (GMT)
Well I read steve's thread on the deviant art thing and thought I might as well start drawing again for I had taken a "drawing break" so I took out a oldish picture of Gon from hunter x hunter a that was ufinished and so I decided to work on it.

Well his right eye was kinda messed up, so I decided to erase it, it wouldn't go away! it turned into a smudge, so when I put the eraser to the paper it got worse and the smudge spread to his nose!

I can't bear having to do it all over again, but I was wondering if theres a way to get rid of it..

I think the only way to get it where you want is to trace it. It's better than redrawing it completely.

Or you can use those nice wite-out strips. If your scanner allows you to scan it as text/line art, the slight change in color is not there. (It's what I do a lot. Then again, my drawings are a lot simpler.)

I just cut out a bit of the paper, glue it on top, then photocopy (sometimes it has to be done it colour, because the pencil is too light to copy in B&W) and then continue on the new copy. OR.. you could edit out the bit on the scan.. print it out and continue...

Of course, before doing that, you'd have to make sure all the parts you've already done are perfect, because you won't be able to rub them out in the copy.

I've done it soo much in Graphics this year *hugs new photocopier/printer in Graphics class*... *Kicks it because it froze on me when I tried to print out my project at lunchtime*

I don't want to photocopy it...its ruins it...it looks are computerized and everything, then everybody questions whether my artwork was authentic...and it looks very different...and tracing is difficult, I have tracing paper but no way I'm using that...guess I'm doomed to have to start all over...

On another note I've started redrawing another wolf's rain picture that got messed up, my artwork is in such poor condition....
