Title: Final Fantasy VII:AC leaked
Description: OMG this is horrible

K-62 - September 12, 2005 08:03 PM (GMT)
This is horrible, they work so hard to make it looks so great and at the last second it leaks(yesterday, I think). This just kills it for all the people that have waited so long to get FF7:AC, now we have to go through all the spoilers that are being thrown around. Ahh this is so evil, why the hell would someone do this like a few days before something so important comes out. I bet someone from with in leaked it too.

Anyone else want to rant?

It didn't seem to hurt the new Doctor Who's welfare in the UK when the first ep got leaked...got it good publicity, if anything. There's even rumors/speculation it was "officially" leaked for that reason...though it doesn't really matter.

Spoilers are evil, mind. I cut all my Who ramblings on LiveJournal for that reason...I wouldn't want it spoiled if I was in the US at the time...like I will be next season. ARGH.

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 13, 2005 02:14 PM (GMT)
I just finished DLing it! HAHAHAHAAHAHA!

Anyway, I'll never spoil anything unless people ask, so I'm mum on the subject. Besides, I have yet to watch it!

Zelos - September 14, 2005 01:35 AM (GMT)
Hmm, look what I have found...

Hey, what are these doing on my hard drive?

I am so evil. Of course, I haven't even finished FFVII (I'm still in the intro...) but hey, I wouldn't see it otherwise.

Is that spoiler above true? I hope so

K-62 - September 14, 2005 01:41 AM (GMT)
Um...ya

I wanted to know something, is Eminem's voice really in it cause thats creepy in so many ways. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0385700/

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 14, 2005 01:47 AM (GMT)
I have just seen the movie and I don't recall any Mr. Coates! IMDB isn't always right, you know.

I just checked the credits and there is no Mr. Coates!

K-62 - September 14, 2005 01:49 AM (GMT)
Still scary, maybe its cause the version that leak wasnt the english version.

Hetman - September 14, 2005 06:07 AM (GMT)
It wasn't. :D

A few days? The DVD isn't coming out until November.

P.S. I got The Last Order DLed too!! It has no subs, though, but since I already know the plot, I guess it shouldn't matter. I'll watch it soon!

Sky Dragon - September 14, 2005 07:23 PM (GMT)
SPOILER WARNING:
I've just seen the Movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, and...
While Cloud does in fact get shot, he DOES NOT die!
Either way, it kicks so much ***...Puts the Wackowski Brothers to shame in so many ways, on so many levels, so many times, that that makes it THE absolute best Movie of its genre I have EVER seen!

...Anyway, it kicked ***!!! Totally awesome, unlike that garbage-movie "Spirits Within" that came out around 2000 or so...about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000x better...

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 14, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
I hear ya, Sky Dragon.

Here's my take on the movie, which I typed up for another message board:

QUOTE

I bit the bullet and decided to make a themed avatar and sig too. I just saw the movie earlier and I agree with what everyone else was saying in the entire thread. The pacing and transitions were awkward and jarring, but then, after hearing about how AC was originally going to be a series of short clips, it makes more sense. It'd be nice if they could actually make new scenes to make the transitioning better, but oh well.

While it was great that pretty much all the characters returned in the movie, they all had pretty basic parts, and, as someone said earlier, looked as if they were just shoehorned in. I must be the only one who hates Cait Sith's voice, judging from the responses here. Nanaki's voice was fine by me, however.

Now for the good stuff...

As a fan of Shikamaru from Naruto, I enjoyed Kadaj's voice. They're similiar, except Kadaj's voice is lighter.

Oh yes, the fight scenes were as awesome as everyone says. It's downright mindblowing.

For once, there is comedy in a movie that is actually funny. I've been disappointed with some movies of late due to humour that is supposed to be funny, but just fell flat to me. The door scene is just great, and the victory theme was hilarious, as well as some others

*Flails*

Meh, everyone has pretty much covered what I was going to say. I sooo want the OST now. Can't wait 'til it's released!

Oh wait! One question! Is the Latin music during the Bahamut Sin sequence an original composition? I tend to like stuff with Latin chanting in them, like Liberi Fatali, and I soo want this track.

P.S. I took out some spoilers from my post. I dunno how to do that white text thing that you did :(

THANK YOU!!!

There's actually decent people here! OMG!

P.S. I like the actual spoiler tag more (
*text*
). Even in white, it's still visible if you look closely. In spoiler tags, you can't see anything at all unless you highlight it. However, white text in quotes seem to work well. The spoilers I made can't be seen.

Drk-X - September 14, 2005 09:27 PM (GMT)
You're welcome :)

This is invisionfree, so yeah, I don't think we can install a mod for the spoiler tag.

Oh yeah, I just had inspiration for my next avatar and sig set. :)

Yeah, Cait Sith's voice kinda got annoying but Cait Sith was rather "bleh" to me anyways.

Despite not really being a fan of Yuffie, I'm a really big fan of her voice seiyuu Yumi Kakazu, mainly because I'm fans of the other characters she does the voices for like Meddy from Rockman.exe Stream or Anzu Misaki from Yu-Gi-Oh.

I DID NOT KNOW THAT! o.O

Aeris' VA is a famous singer. Maaya Sakamoto. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't she sing some Wolf's Rain songs?

Drk-X - September 14, 2005 10:02 PM (GMT)
Yup, Sakamoto did the ending theme for Wolf's Rain as well as the ending for Tsubasa Chronicle.

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 14, 2005 10:32 PM (GMT)
So I was right then. However, she also sang some more WR songs, like Cloud 9 and Tell Me What The Rain Knows.

Since you saw the movie, TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF IT!

Drk-X - September 14, 2005 10:43 PM (GMT)
Personally, for something so big, I kinda found it to be rather short...but that's just me. I loved Tifa's new outfit. Some scenes were pretty damn funny in certain ways. The fights with Cloud and Kadaj were awesome. w00t-ness!!!

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 14, 2005 11:10 PM (GMT)
Short?? It's long! Anime movies from Japan usually don't run over an hour! Yes, 101 minutes is long for Japan.

This is hilarious!

-Agreed on Tifa...On the one hand, it's not as "fanservicey" as her old outfit, on the other, Tifa's rating on the Hotness Scale just jumped by about 9,900%.
-Yes, the Fights(Not only agains tKajad, but all of them) kicked major arse...*see my prev. post*
-1 hour, 41 minutes, and 1 second? Short-ish, but quite good enough, IMO.
-Caith Sith: Well, considering the fact that he's barely in there, I don't mind much...

Now, as for overall character changes, other than Tifa, here you go:
-Yuffie: On the one hand, her outfit didn't change quite so much as, say, Tifa's...She's still a lot hotter than originally.
-Cloud: OMFG...that's all I can say, right now...the bike is just so much more badass. (For that matter, so's Cloud). The outfit hasn't changed all that much, but again, it's changed for the better.
-Barret: Again, massively improved.
-Vincent: Hasn't changed in any really glaring ways
-Cid: Ditto
-Aeris: (Yes, Aeris is in there, briefly - flashback-type thing) Same thing.
-Zack: See "Aeris"
-Red XIII: Hasn't changed at all.
-Sephiroth: Ditto (Can't have an FF7 ANYTHING without Sephiroth)
-Reno: Again, not all that much change. Ditto for his partner (forgets his name - Big, bald guy)
-Rufus: Now, he hasn't changed too much either, but he has changed.

Drk-X - September 15, 2005 12:05 AM (GMT)
Well, for an anime movie it's long of course since most anime movies are 45 min.....but when you consider how long the movie took to come since it's announcement...short for me... :)

Zelos - September 15, 2005 03:13 AM (GMT)
Bwahaha, ph34r my 1337 skills;

The secret is to use the "" tag as normal, except instead of "white" or whatever, use "F5F9FD" which is the exact color of this background color. Neat, huh?

In relation to the movie, I haven't watched it yet as I was gone for all but two hours today. Sounds awesome though.

In other news, I just pre-ordered the American Limited Edition of Myst V: End of Ages yesterday. The European version sounds awesome, but it would have cost me more and the extra price for a very cool box and D'ni dictionary thing just doesn't cut it for me. People who have already received it (some copies shipped early) say that it's their favorite, or at least one of their favorites, of the series; a fitting end for one of the best game series ever.

I wonder what it is!!

I'm DLing The Last Order with subs! I saw it last night but they talked a lot and I had no idea what they were saying!!

Rev Raptor - September 16, 2005 05:59 AM (GMT)
I'd never played FFVII... but I got the limited edition DVD anyway. It'll be odd playing the game after I saw the movie.

And holy crap! Sephiroth is a bad guy! >_>; I thought Cloud was the villain and Sephiroth was the hero. After all, the "Sephiroth" is supposed to be the ten qualities of God u_u;

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 16, 2005 02:06 PM (GMT)
The Limited Edition DVD costs $275 USD, and over $300 bucks CAD! Are you guys made of money or something?! I don't think the stuff that comes with the LE DVD set is worth all that money.

K-62 - September 16, 2005 03:14 PM (GMT)
:( I feel left out

Rev Raptor - September 16, 2005 09:22 PM (GMT)
It cost me 29,500 yen... but I'd been saving up for it.

MrGuy - September 16, 2005 09:43 PM (GMT)
Wow. I'm watching Last Order (because I heard it kind of summarized the game) and I'm completely lost. It feels like I'm watching yaoi though. Too many pretty boys. So far all I've seen is Cloud being an emo idiot and just angsting around, Tifa being useless, Sephiroth and his mother (?) complex, some guy named Zack killing a bunch of people, and random babble about SOLDIERs.

wat.

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 16, 2005 09:54 PM (GMT)
The Last Order doesn't summarize the game...it only deals with a scene from the game. To be more specific, it tells you what really happened at Nibelhelm, or whatever it's called. Of course, if you've never played the game, then you'd be completely lost.

Cloud wasn't 'angsting' around as you put it, though. He was sick from the MAKO injected in him. Zack saved him from the evil nasty people.

Some scenes from LO were changed from the game though, such as the part when Cloud and Seph were fighting, and at the very end. Zack wasn't killed on the truck in the game. They were climbing up the hill overlooking Midgar when the soldiers came, and that's when they shot him.

MrGuy - September 16, 2005 09:56 PM (GMT)
I have no idea what you just said. Time for AIM :ph43r:

K-62 - September 17, 2005 12:45 AM (GMT)
I'll summarize the game.

It starts of with a little boy named Cloud and a little girl named Tifa, the lived in the little town on the western continent called Nibelhelm. Cloud's dream was to become first class in Soldier (it’s like the army) and Tifa wanted to be a singer or something. When Cloud turn 15(I think, it’s been a long time I played this like 10yers ago when I was like 6) he left to be join Soldier. When he signed up he was one of those bluey trooper thingys. He met Zack who was a first class in Soldier. Sometime later they where stationed together with Sephiroth; a super asskicking first class in Soldier. Their mission was to go to Cloud's home town Nibelhelm to find....

I forget someone do the next part

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 17, 2005 02:16 AM (GMT)
Don't you think you should start from the BEGINNING of the game, like when AVALANCHE starts bombing Midgar?

Unfortunately, I haven't played the game in absolute ages, so my memory is very rusty. However, there's lots of places online where you can read a summary of the game, so you could just save yourself the trouble...

K-62 - September 17, 2005 02:24 AM (GMT)
Thats the begining of the game, but not the story.

I know there are lots of summaries online but those are all written by hard core fans with super evil detail and take forever to read. Im just stating what happened in general and getting a bit into the goals of the charators. Though I dont remeber all to well of what happened.

===============

You know this thread has gone so much of topic, it started as me sorta ranting bout how evil it is to leak something worked on for so long now its the general FF7:AC dissusion thread.

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 17, 2005 02:53 AM (GMT)
If you must be technical about it, THAT scene you're describing is not the beginning of the story. What about all that background stuff about Seto, Jenova landing, Vincent's past and all that?

Weasel's going to be confused anyway XD The game itself is confusing unless you play through it several times to piece everything together,

K-62 - September 17, 2005 03:10 AM (GMT)
I wont make a good story if you start from the begining of the game play. You have to start from the first piece of the thingy.

Yes, but were you actually surprised? XD FFVII:AC may not have a deep or engaging plot, but it's flashy and artsy. Yes, artsy. AC sports some of the darn best CGI work yet. Heck, it probably is the best darn CGI work yet.

Despite that, I am very disappointed that nobody but me has made a matching avatar and sig yet. Every bloody frame in the movie is good enough for avatars/sigs!

K-62 - September 17, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
Its takes time to cut thingys out and people are sometimes lazy. As for me I dont even have the movie yet. I'll download it if I cant get my hands on a japanese copy (I sent someone to go buy it for me), but I ratter wait for it to get here; if it ever does.

Unabhängiger Wolf - September 17, 2005 08:33 PM (GMT)
The closest date I've seen so far is November 29th. The soundtrack (I MUST HAVE THIS!) is coming out Sept 28th.

K-62 - September 17, 2005 08:43 PM (GMT)
I dont plan on getting the english version, I hate dubed anime movies; they're so crappy. I dont like movie soundtrack, I think I have the original game soundtrack somewhere.
