Damn you, you beat me to it....:P
Anyways, its good to hear news on the Revolution after so long....*burns all the X-Brick 360's in production...*

I'm supposed to be writing an essay right now, but things have just goten way to crazy that I think I've given up on that. I SHOULD get back to writing it though. Maybe I should just unplug my internet connection.
<_<
Or not.

What a.... weird looking controller... o.0
ZeRoRaVeN - September 17, 2005 04:24 PM (GMT)
^I agree but after I watched the video I am stunned...it's incredible! The possibilities are huge! nintendo is obviously going for the hands on approach...its so cool!
*wants revolution really badly*
K-62 - September 17, 2005 08:31 PM (GMT)
Looks like a piece of crap.Sorry bout that remake just that I'm not ready for something like that yet. I dont want to play games with one hand or with detacted controllers. If I wanted to do that I'll stick to my PC.
PlushRayseTiger - September 17, 2005 10:33 PM (GMT)
At first I thought it looked weird. After reading about why it's like that and the optional attachments, I'm excited! Why do they do this to me? The teasers...
Atrophy Within - September 18, 2005 07:27 AM (GMT)
Its as though they watched a bunch of lazy americans, aimlessly flipping through channels every day for hours on end, and said "Hey, maybe we should add a jump button".
I just watched the video... Oh my god is that the stupidest thing I've ever seen. They took to different things, and combined them.. Aimlessly flipping through channels... And Duck Hunt.
ZeRoRaVeN - September 18, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
^its not stupid! Nintendo is trying to make things more interactive! Look at the possibilities, its like the DS...its involving gaming beyond the standard controller. Imagine if you could play Zelda with sword strokes and actualy make them, or as demonstrated, they had a guy doing sword strokes dammit! And what if you played it like you were in an actual FPS and using the controller as a gun, or you were in a band with drums....how can you say that's not cool?
I believe Zelda is going to look cool! I bet they'll probably let you use sword strokes and items with the controller and actually move. Suddenly video games have evolved from sitting.

 It looks like its going to be cool. Nintendo is realy going on top again. Just like there supose too. Playstation and Xbox are just lightwaights. Nintendo is the greatest...Now what should I get... a DS, Gamecube or that..???
Zelos - September 18, 2005 05:25 PM (GMT)
Keep in mind that the Revolution is backwards compatible with the Gamecube. Guess it makes that choice a little easier.
K-62 - September 18, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
Its probably going to disapoint, I really doubt that the controller thingy can do all that without some major bugs. Even if it did, its just getting too close to being "in the game"(not really I'm just lazy to like wave my arm wildly to seem like Im choping stuff).
That's like one of my major fears, to play a game and get trapped in it without knowing. That's why I think the Real Life Sim game is the mark of the beast
I bet this wont help that getting dizzy while playing a really real looking game factor. Bet it will make it much much worst for those people that get dizzy from play FPS or first person based games that look too real or dont have like health bars or things displayed on the screen

Quoted from 1UP's hands on article,
| QUOTE (1UP) |
| At first, I was standing up and swinging my hand all around to aim - and my arms got really tired really quick. But once I sat down and relaxed, resting my hands on my legs as I would with a normal controller, everything clicked. |
If you're to lazy to merely move your wrist around to point the controller at the screen, then there's really no hope for you.
Why would it be buggy? This is NOTHING new, motion detectors have been around for a while now, just never used like this before.
The sheer amount of lack of imagination I've seen over the last few days is sickening. People are judging the controller on first sight, not even bothering to give a second thought of what it can do. The teaser video gives an insight into the possibilities available, but there is still much more that could be done.
ZeRoRaVeN - September 18, 2005 06:14 PM (GMT)
Well this would probably increase the cost of the controller of course, and there's the possibility it may break down, chances of it getting repaired may not be as high as other controllers because it uses the motion thingy...then again don't we all just go out and buy a new one?
I'm impressed by the innovation at ninentedo, in fact much of this is not new, its just that it took some company to make use of it. The touch screen was not new, PDAs have been around for yrs, they've had crappy quality motion controller stuff...I've seen them, its just that they were usually start-up companies and it didn't look good.
K-62 - September 18, 2005 06:17 PM (GMT)
Its too new for me. Nintendo like AOL is the devil
I know motion detectors is nothing new, but can a game with amazing graphics keep up with all you movement? and what if you had to go to the washroom and you put down the controller and in the game with the motion you jump off a cliff?(I know there is going to be a pause button, but you know how game makers are i.e. KillZone{i think, cant remeber} had no jump button)
ZeRoRaVeN - September 18, 2005 06:34 PM (GMT)
I know killzone had no jump button, you were supposed to be able to get over certain obstacles if you walked up to them and there was this little icon that mean you could go over it...killzone looked cool though...
Anyway you're exaggerating it now, you're just trying to find something to argue about. Why are you trying to find fault in something that's so promising and has potential, you saw the video that guy paused it, and if you look most of the games you have to hit a button before or while you're moving...so there wouldn't be a problem..
I think the sword thing was the coolest...
Fury OD - September 18, 2005 06:39 PM (GMT)
 Yea, the sword thing waz off the shizzy, for dezzy.....NA it was cool... can't wait to play that.
