Title: Celebs you have met

Blade - September 18, 2005 02:25 AM (GMT)
This idea came to me just now...list the famous celebs you have actually seen up close in person!

Today whileI was work, at around 8:45ish, Usher came into the Publix where I work at. I got to meet him..he was cool, was with some girl I didn't recognize (probably his g/f). Hehe, I just thought that was kinda cool :)

Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Mike Myers (sp?) and a fe wother celebs have come at the store I work at, but Usher was the first one I ever saw/meet at the store. Mike Myers came very recently, but I was outside carrying out an order for a custom so I didn't get to see him (dam I'm jealous :P)

Murasame Liger - September 18, 2005 02:42 AM (GMT)

I met Chretien once too, he came to my school and went class to class to talk to people. I didnt understand a word he was saying with his semi-french and semi-englishway of speaking.

I met the Rolling Stones this summer, they were playing in a small club that my cousin works at in Toronto. I was standing around waiting for my cousin to drive me home and the guy that owned the place introduced me to them. They look really really old up close.

No one cares for the French :P (No offense to anybody..just playing on the current stereotype).

He is the French Pres, right?

K-62 - September 19, 2005 01:50 AM (GMT)
LoL hes the Canadian prime minister. You know because of Rick Merser(sp) most Americians think the Canadian prime minister is Tim Horton.

Momonga - September 19, 2005 05:38 AM (GMT)
Um... I've met some people from a couple of New Zealand bands, which no one else here would have probably heard of.. and a few politian people, who I really couldn't care less about *hates politics*

Blade - September 19, 2005 04:57 PM (GMT)
Meh, I'm not too up-to-date with world leaders xD

Phelan - September 19, 2005 05:21 PM (GMT)
Louis Gosset Jr
Jessie Jackson
George Bush

I'll explain them all later.

JammerLea - September 19, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
I was once a few feet away from Sonny Bono when my class took a trip to Washington D.C. XD Didn't exactly meet him though. Same with Muhammad Ali, he once came to my high school when the 'new' gym was opened (I was in 5th grade).

I've met Peter Noone, who was the lead singer of the 60's group Hermann's Hermits. He's an AWESOME guy, very witty!

I've met a few voice actors too, Michael Coleman, Doug Smith...

And there are LOTS of artsy-related people who I've met, some of whom are nationally known, but I don't know if they would exactly be considered "celebrities".

Oh yeah, there's some Native American music artist who I met when my parents helped them out after watching the limo he was in have a tire explode. ...I forgot his name suddenly. XD;;

I feel like I'm forgetting someone too... grr...

Hmm, maybe it's Jim Benton, the guy who created "It's Happy Bunny." I talked to him on the phone once.

Fury OD - September 19, 2005 10:52 PM (GMT)
 I met my cousin befor ...Yes he is famous, just cheack out his web site...at k banger . com... cheack him out, he's cool...

Blade - September 20, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
Is he famous enough for more than like 25,000 people to know his name? :P

Rev Raptor - September 20, 2005 02:26 AM (GMT)
I've met lots of celebrities... my favorite seiyuu - Hikaru Midorikawa, Joshua Seth (an American VA), Ayumi Hamasaki, the band T.M. Revolution, Jun Senoue (musician), and Emperor Akihito (it's tradition to visit the Emperor on his birthday).

Fury OD - September 20, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)
NEW JERSEY , were you at!!!... last time I talk to him, he said that he'll be working on BET...

Louis Gosset Jr
Jessie Jackson
George Bush

I'll explain them all later.

That last two look familiar :P

LoL I really should know world leaders better because I'm on the Academic Bowl team and we're usually asked a few world leader questions, but there's another guy who's got that covered :\

I'm more of a science, math, and history person for the team.

Well, one's the current US President and the other is Reverend Jessie Jackson. Dunno if he's internationally known but he's fairly well known around here.

As for explaining like I promised....

I met Louis Gosset Jr, an actor, after a speech he made at my college on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Nice man, well spoken. One of very few public speakers I not only tolerate but like.

Jessie Jackson was at my high school during my senior year to give us a presentation on the importance of knowledge (ie going to college) and whatnot. I don't remember much of it seeing as I ignored him. And before anyone says that was rude of me I was giving him the same disrespect he gave us when he had all of us stand and bow out heads for prayer.

Seeing as this was a public highschool there are certain legal problems with that. Not to mention some moral quandries from other sources.

Bush....press conference during his first campaign. He had a press conference at the Children's Museum where I was volunteering. I got searched for weapons and a dog sniffed me for bombs, Bush met the staff, we all went on about our buisness.

JammerLea - September 20, 2005 06:36 PM (GMT)
Master 666, please say more than just "is jealous" I consider that spam and normally I'd just delete it.

Oh yeah, I didn't meet personally, but Chris Van Alsburg, the author of "The Polar Express" came to my college to speak. He came since we helped out with that big project for the movie opening. Fun stuff!

Blade - September 21, 2005 12:08 AM (GMT)
Dang, Phelan, you make me somewhat jealous and make my short meeting with Usher insignificantly impacting to me xD

Naw, it didn't impact me in any profound manner. I just thought it's really cool to meet a celebrity of his magnitude.
