Title: domain name?
Description: i am getting paid-for hosting...........

I am going to get paid-for hosting soon, and it comes with a free domain name (your_name.com)

I just don't know what i should use...

my website's title is RPG Annihilation, but that's too long a url to use (rpg-annihilation.com)... or is it?

please tell me which of the following available url's should i use? (or add your own). I want many ppl to vote too BTW, its important (to me).

well here they are:

rpg-annihilation.com

rpga.net

1337rpg.com

any others? BTW it's a forum-based rpg but it's also a lot of other things (previous site located at http://mc.minzliu.com, but it's just a test-bed for custom code that i write really).

Out of those I'd go for rpga.net, simply because I cant spell 'annihilation' and because 1337rpg is lame.
It depends on what you like and think sounds and looks good, just pick something that is appropriate and that you'll like in a few months (or years) time.

lol good point.

EDIT: Actualey although rpg-annihilation.com looks the coolest i was always weary of the difficulty in spelling it (once it's in the browser's historythey will only have to begin it and select from the drop down but that's besides the point).

rpga.net was what i'd probably go wiht too, but i'm just not that sure.

quite frankly i thought that 1337rpg would be quite funny (and if i have a few spare bucks to waste one day i'll probably purchase it and set up an extra domain-pointer to my site with it, just for the hell of it).

rpg-annihilation.com

rpga.net

either one i'm happy with. the top one looks cooler but the bottom one is more useable. Anyone else have any opinions (or even just a mere preference, it all helps)?

I can't spell annihilation for beans either. I typo my OWN domain name a lot and it's not that hard to spell...so simple is good. On the other hand, too simple is easy to forget a letter or two of, because it doesn't stick in your brain as a word.

Also think of the fact you might want to change your site's focus...do you really want something stuck on one subject, or more something people identify with you?

I can't spell the darn word either. I'd say go with anni-rpg.com, although I think .net sounds better than .com.

Out of the titles you mentioned, however, I'd go with rpga.com. The first suggestion is too long, and the last suggestion blows chunks. I hate L33T speak.

very valid point Tilly, and I though about this a fair bit but i cannot think of anything better (using my internet handle is about the best i could come up with, and they're all allready taken). I think that the possibility to simply setup anohter domain pointer to my existing account an unlimited number of times helps because it means that i can always add another domain to point to my site...

and i am quite comfortable with this, so i guess in a few weeks (there are a few other things that i want to finalise first) rpga.net may be a valid website. The more i think about it the more comfortable i am with it, yet the fact that it doesn't "look" like a real word kinda brings it down.

However one of my site logos could be like R.P.G.A or something with the full text written underneath... i like multiple random logos (i think that that is what is done here at zoids_evolution too).

EDIT: anirpg.com is already taken, but anirpg.net has a nice ring to it.

anirpg.net / annirpg.net / anni-rpg.net / rpga.net oh so much! :P

anirpg sounds like animated/anime rpg...and I say avoid hyphens if you can. annirpg.net?

all very interesting.

annirpg.net

rpga.net

i think that i see the first one being more liekly? how about you?
