Title: What would you do with $340,000,000?
ShadowDragon062 - November 13, 2005 01:33 AM (GMT)
Just saw this on the news... some family won the jackpot. Now if you had won the money what would you have done with it?
Momonga - November 13, 2005 01:41 AM (GMT)
I would buy an army of Molgas.. and paint them all different colours. Then set them lose!!!
.. well, that's what I have been planning to do for a while, I've just got to get around to it/find some money.
Tilly - November 13, 2005 01:42 AM (GMT)
Shove some in the bank, go to England (and Australia and Japan), buy some shelves and Zoids to go with them, and go nuts buying a metric crapload of random gifts for people, charities, and all that. I wouldn't want to KEEP it all...
ZeRoRaVeN - November 13, 2005 01:48 AM (GMT)
First, make MORE MONEH!
Then go on a crazy zoids & anime buying spree..oo and nice new computers too...
Blade Liger Mirage - November 13, 2005 01:55 AM (GMT)
I would burn it. Because money doesn't but happiness!
~sees some nice, fancy, plastic wrenches go by~
Holy Fuzz. @_@ ~spends on all the money on plastic wrenches~
Earthbounder 5.0 - November 13, 2005 02:14 AM (GMT)
Commit suicide.[/emo] Becuase the papparazzi revealed who you are and everyone would want a piece of your money over and over and over again.
K-62 - November 13, 2005 03:11 AM (GMT)
First I'll prove to all those people that money can buy happiness than I'll go into <insert store here> and buy one, no two of everything
ZeRoRaVeN - November 13, 2005 03:17 AM (GMT)
For me, not being richer than Bill Gates doesn't make me happy.
DueroTycoon - November 13, 2005 04:02 AM (GMT)
Invest it. Buy a six flags, and hey, after a month, I have all of my money back plus.. $600 million or so?
ZeRoRaVeN - November 13, 2005 04:06 AM (GMT)
You're better off investing in apple..or the housing market..well a few months back as its declining..
grimm73 - November 13, 2005 04:55 AM (GMT)
1.I'd pick up at least one of EVERY Zoid produced. OJRs, OERs, NJRs, NARs Limiteds, contest prizes, I want it all, baby :D
2. Ferrari F430 Spyder.
3. Nice big house.
Invest, charity and bank the rest.
On another note, how long do you think it will be before these people start having a bunch of "long lost relatives" coming out of the woodwork
Scottfab - November 13, 2005 08:20 AM (GMT)
Buy everything I've ever wanted.
Hetman - November 13, 2005 12:36 PM (GMT)
First, I'll buy everything that I want so thats about 20 million down the drain, and the rest, I'll be investing it in a productive way to make more money! Maybe buying out Microsoft and Linux and every single car company and steelworks! =D
ShadowDragon062 - November 13, 2005 02:08 PM (GMT)
I think if I won the money, I'd let my sis have some of it for college. That cuts off about a little money. Buy some updated stuff, like a Gamecube, still want one, but parents won't buy one. As well as Super Smash Brother's Melee. Than spend it on an Ipod Nano, a decent car that's not to flashy. Give a thousand to each of my friends.. which is like 10. Give another couple of thousands to all of ZE members, who I know very well. Buy a couple of DVD's, and a couple of hundred graphic novels. A new House, a massive army of every Zoid, composed of three of each Zoid. Three Nuclear Chickens! Whoo hoo. After all that... I'll save the rest for my college fund.
Oops, forgot, I'll get some Inu stuff too. Even get some company to make me a real version of Tokijin. That would be sweet. I wonder how much this'll cost... I think it barely reaches even 20 million. Wow, I'm going to be so spoiled...
Sky Dragon - November 14, 2005 06:37 PM (GMT)
I'd spend a good deal of it on a ***load of stuff...a good deal of what was left on taxes, and save the remainder...
...Well, invest a "small" part of it...save the rest
dragonmaster100 - November 14, 2005 09:44 PM (GMT)
I would go to Japan, buy every Zoids thing I could find, and all the Fire Emblem games there, and then hire someone to teach me how to read Japanese so I understood everything I had just bought. I would then save the rest of it for later.
Earthbounder 5.0 - November 17, 2005 04:03 AM (GMT)
Good luck with that. Every Japanese person would identify you as an otaku, which is frowned upon greatly.
Tilly - November 17, 2005 04:37 AM (GMT)
I wonder what people would think of me going geeky over the language, because I know I would. Not as used in anime, either, because I don't even watch much. I just think languages are cool.
Zelos - November 17, 2005 05:48 AM (GMT)
I'd buy exactly 53513 of
these babies and set up the ultimate LAN party ever!
Seriously though, I would only buy one, maybe two of those computers (which, for those who don't keep up with computers, is pretty much the fastest you can get commercially. Some may debate over rather the AMD X2 4800+ or the FX-57 is the better choice for a pure gaming computer, however I would rather go with the 4800+ since it's faster while multitasking, which can be very important to me. The memory also isn't what I was looking for, I guess the specific modules I want Newegg doesn't have and for the sake of convenience I only wanted to link to one site... The power supply isn't the strongest, but it should still handle everything well enough and is quiet, which is important. Same goes for the heatsink, it comes fan-less though you can put a fan on it, however with this case two fans would sit right next to it anyways, so it will eliminate some noise.)
Along with that, I would buy an XBox 360 (maybe a regular XBox as well, depending on rather there are any games I want for it that can't be played on the 360 or any other system), Sony PS2, both a red and black Nintendo DS (red can be bought here, black would have to be imported), a Sony PSP would fit nice as well, set aside some money for the Cowon iAudio A2 (a PMP, which is basically to videos what an MP3 player is to MP3s), pre-order a Sony PS3 and Nintendo Revolution, buy every single game that even remotely interests me for all the consoles/handhelds/computers I would then own as well as pre-order all the games for the systems I wouldn't own yet but will sometime.
I would still probably have some money left over by then, so whatever I would have left I would take a couple hundred out of it, stick that in my wallet, and put the rest into a savings account for whenever I need it. Or maybe have it all turned into solid gold coins, and fill a large pool with all the money (in gold coin form) and swim around in it. I've always wanted to do that...
DueroTycoon - November 17, 2005 01:09 PM (GMT)
Just as an FYI Zelos, you'd still need a fan on the heatsink. Two fans right next to it never cut it. :) Mine stays at 32C constantly, no more no less. Then again, the fan speeds vary depending on the load. I wub Asus.
HaTcH - November 17, 2005 02:31 PM (GMT)
Lol.. My computer is so beat... The proc fan barks when it first turns on, so I have to shake the tower a bit. Then theres my fresh air 120mm intake fan (I had to put it on a switch because it sounds like a vacuum.) Then I look at the old PII systems (of which I've got like 10...) and laugh because they were slot mounted and didn't have fans attached to the heat sinc.
I did find one once, it was an old compaq computer that had a fan slapped diagonally between the heat sinc and the memory... That was creative :P Needless to say, its sitting in my basement collecting dust as its AT not ATX and all my AT power supplies are dead :o
Zelos - November 17, 2005 07:39 PM (GMT)
Duero, the fans would be litterly just a couple inches from the heatsink. One is an exhaust on the back of the case, as usual, and the other is on top of the case (the power supply is at the bottom of the case, meaning the motherboard is all the way up in the top right corner). The top fan comes situated as an exhaust fan, however I have heard people get better temperatures if they switch it to an intake fan. Putting a fan on the heatsink would mean it and one of the case fans would almost be touching.
Many people have been succesful with using the Scythe Ninja fanless even with higher end AMD CPUs. I've never heard of it being used with a 4800+ (those are rare enough to see in any computer...), however it would probably work, it may not overclock so well.
The only way to find out would be to actually try it, however it's kind of a moot point talking about it anyways as I highly doubt I'll ever get a top of the line computer, unless prices come way down.
Fury OD - November 17, 2005 09:25 PM (GMT)
I would go to japan and give every person I see A copy of my manga/comic...the 1-2nd chapters and get reconized. Then I would buy 20 difrent japaneese swords. After the swords I'll try to visit the creaters of some famous Manga artists. Then I'll become an manga artist buy every zoid thing there is exept the toys. just the models. and go home. I'll give 110000 to my parents and 10000 to each of my sisters. And then I'll move somewere nice and slow like Kentukey and build a super strong tornado risestance house. And then I will make a buisness, and get more money....
Atrophy Within - November 22, 2005 10:51 PM (GMT)
I'd buy a million Klondik bars....
zeroreborn - November 23, 2005 04:07 AM (GMT)
