Title: *rubs head* Where Am I?

Wild Eagle - November 18, 2005 12:33 PM (GMT)
Okay well i didnt know where to post this and i figured that as this doesnt count towards your "post count" then why not post it here as it wont matter to my post count and the forum as a whole....

Well thats unless people start hitting me for putting this in the wrong place, well then i could be in trouble...

Still, i just want to know if ANYONE cares to make me a signature, i tried last time but failed dismally to use Photoshop 8 and as such am still learning to make the basic stuff...

Therefore i plea to someone to make me a signature... Thats if you really want to make one...

...please don't use bmp format stuff for the web *points to avatar*.

I'm not much of a sig-making type...I tend to the plain if anything, and most people prefer things with more...filters. People will want to know what you want from a sig, though, like what images or colors or text.

*Looks at his avatar*

Just out of curiosity, why musnt i use bmp format... I mean i will change it if its a problem for some reason, just curious...

Okay well on the banner subject, i didnt say what i wanted done until people had said that they wanted to try...

But if thats the case then, i want a Blade Liger (Slash Liger, but i know that those are hard to find) as a cetral picture, with a picture of the Blade Liger in combat. A blackish blue background with white writing in whatever font looks good...

It's not made for the web and it's huge for the image size. If you want lossless and over 256 colors, that's what png is for...if you've got Windows XP, its Paint can save pngs.

Wild Eagle - November 18, 2005 07:18 PM (GMT)
Erm, well is that any better???

ZeRoRaVeN - November 19, 2005 01:33 AM (GMT)
Yes it's better, but use jpg/jpeg PNGs are nice, but IE doesn't support them, Tilly's just a PNG/GIMP fanatic...not to say its bad...I think the good and bad of PNG and JPG should be put together for a nice explody effect.

ahh yes, transparents compressy format..except I hate that every time you resave a JPG it gets squished even more.

bmp sucks, sorry but it does, just either of the two above formats, or use a gif.

gifs are low quality but tiny files, usually for avatars, oh and they can be animated.

Blade if he was here would probably do it, but he isn't, so chances are you might not get it fullfilled..the last request he did was for chaos (under the alias proxy, or whatever it was)

Tilly's anti imagy anyway..... so don't expect much from her....

As for me, I'm too lazy to....learn photoshop, how many times do I have to tell people? Sure books help, but the best way to learn is to poke around and figure out what does what, or get someone to help you. Hands on experience is the best, I learned it myself pretty much..

That's how I figured out Photoshop, and tutorials are nice to learn some tricks, I've never made full banners before though. I'd need real specific details on what they want. Plus access to good pics, it's nice when a client can provide the pics. Maybe I could give it a shot then.

IE supports pngs just fine, it just doesn't show the transparency on transparent ones. My sig Gilvy is a png :p.

GIMP rocks because it's free and doesn't eat my RAM.

Well i really have tried to learn it and i have tutorials and i have asked people but really it is getting me nowhere and i seem to be getting worse at it... So really, me doing my banner would be un-advisable...

Okay well if i can get you the pictures to do that, then would you mind giving it a shot?
