Today, February 18th, Zoids Evolution Forums is now Three!! I would like to thank all our members who have stuck around and helped to make ZEF the community that it is.

In recognition of this event, we are trying out an experimental "retro" RPG based upon the first ZEF incarnation's RPG. I don't know how well it'll work, it depends on you members, but I thought it may be worth a try. ^_^

Yes, that new RPG should be interesting. I came to ZE after the first proboards, when it had moved to Invision, so I was around most of the 3 years.

I've been on for like a year and a half, which is a record for me. Message boards I'm on have this nasty tendency of dieing (even Planet Community, my very first MB and the first place I ever battled with Zoids on [boy was that fun - a bunch of us had secondary usernames using secondary accounts and e-mails for a Backdraft group, myself included]).

3 Years. Wow.

Yeah, I was counting it up, I registered on ZE for the first time on September 3rd, 2003. That means I've been on ZE for 2 years and 5 months.

Indeed... hurrah for ZE, the Zoids messageboard which slows down to a crawl at times but refuses to completely die!

I joined ZE June of '03, myself... right at the end of the life of Proboards!ZE.

I registered about 7 months ago... barely even been here a year, so I can't really join in the celebration. I'm surprised though, that ZEF has survived this long...

yay. So...any other big interesting forum-wide changes? No? Oh well.

wOOt!!! 3 years! I have been on every single ZE, since the begginging, but have just had a differnt name everytime! lol. ZE has always been the best Zoids site ever!

Woot go ZE!!! I've been at ZE for 2 years and its always been great, and it couldn't have been done without its admins, and mods. You guys rock!! (members like me have helped too...)

Iv been away for a few days or a week and look at all these changes.. :blink: ..I'll have to get use to these new stuff now..But overall the change is pretty good..

And Fury OD, there was a time where the boards were hosted by DT. But no copy of that exists. DT says he might still have a copy of the database. But as of now, there's no online copy of it.

Congrats ZE for going this long. Wish I was on more often at times to enjoy it like I used to. How I do miss browsing the forum for 12 hours a day... *sigh* Those were the days.....

That tends to be what every member of every forum, or even more generally, every member of every society says. Always pining for the old, cant enjoy the new, always resistant of change. It's a shame.

Though it is quite dull around here.

But I think the dullness is do to the seasons..In th summer, its a ot more active though..

Its the lack of assertiveness of new posts and interesting topics around. With all respects to your lives of course. That's the major difference of ZeRoRaVeN's comparison to ZE forums and ZGC forums.

True, in the sense that what we longed for is long gone. I remember when I was a kid, my parents usually took us out for breakfast on a Saturday or a Sunday morning. The most memorable one was the trip to the Big Banana. The Big Banana was sooo big when I was a kid, and we ate out in a cafe with the some pretty damn good food, especially the pancakes. Heh, during the beginning of the year-- we did the same, but the Big Banana ain't that big anymore and the cafe we used to go to is long gone. Shame, shame, shame.

However, I strongly disagree for 'always pinning for the old... always resistant to change' for the fact we live in a consumer-driven, materialistic society living. We always have the mindset that 'newer' is better, which ain't always true. Well, that's how I see it.

And speaking of society, I hope the bullsh-t that is the Bush Administration would go down in light of this article. Its seriously begging for this:

Btw, the last summer was boring as hell until I started the GameFAQs invasion.

ZE has gotten boring, indeed, but if people are still coming back to see whats up, their day must be even more boring. I think ZE will pick up a bit in the summer, because people who generally can't visit ZE when they are in school, can because they have every day open. one would hope they have lives and go outside, but meh, the average kid is boring and lazy.

I wish ZE could be like it was before. With all the posters, yes. but tis not bad now, its just, quieter.

Anyways, I will stick around, I just have work and college to attend to, so my time spent on ZE is sadly short.

...I actually don't mind the sun, other than the RARR I RUIN YOUR WHITE PLASTIC thing. It makes for pretty photos.

Listen, the only thing that is going to make ZE better is if everyone decides to change for the better and stop complaining about it. If you've got interesting topics, post em. Got some zoids trivia? Do it up. You know...

Apart from that, the zoids community as a whole needs an infusion of new members and interest, and that can really only be accomplished by an english run of zoids. Sure theres the fraction of people here that actually can understand whats going on in the original format, but to be honest, I never read episode reviews. I didn't want to. I need the actual series to run. Sure the fansubs are great but we need a dub.

Hey, they're rereleasing early windups. That's enough to get me all bouncy. I just didn't post anything about it 'cause there don't seem to be any fans of the critters here, though I could. I've got many of 'em, so I can vouch for the designs...

There's also Neo Blox, but...you don't want to know what I think of those :p.

But the models are gonna have the same fate as the message board.. Without a television run-- even if CN ran NC0 for a few weeks-- the fan base is going to remain only with the die-hard members.

I like the models, but I'm not a collector by any regards. I like them more for the asthetic appeal they bring to my room.

ZoidFans formed and existed before there was such a thing as an anime...but I know what you're saying. There aren't many collectortypes here, 'cause this started as an anime board.
