Okay, I made the OMGpink a bit less...blindy. The Zoid-y buttons are less so no too...if they're still blinding for you, shift refresh. The rest of the graphics are next.

What do people think now?

Really, I can't stand the rainbow banners and the general pinkness of everything is just way to girly for me.

It's about now that I wish IF had a multiple skin selector.

Apart from the rainbow, I dont mind it. It's pink but it still looks cool.

I despise rainbow gradients. Its queer and doesn't match with forum banners at all.

Aside from the aesthetic problems associated with rainbow gradients, they also take quite a bit longer to load than what was here before.

The rainbow gradient is probably the only real thing people disagree with. The pink, while extremly girly is aceptable. Besides it just adds strenth to the Pink faction. Long live Pink. :lol:

If a rainbow gradient threatens your manliness, the gradient is not the problem :p.

I could replace it with a pink or a blue one, though.

Ok, I'm going to offer a compromise here.
Because what's bothering me here is probably not exactly the same thing that's bothering the most other pink-and-rainbow opponents.

I think you can keep some elements of pink *AND* keep maintain a level of graphic neutrality that doesn't scare some people away *or* make the website head-ache inducing.




I took a screen-shot and edited it in photoshop. I don't have the CSS, but this is just a suggestion for a more toned-down color scheme, that is less hard on the eyes, but still retains elements of pink. (It is a huge image, I know)





I strongly suggest that you use a white or light gray background. As it plays more nicely with all of the other graphics on screen. There is always the option of a black background too, although pink+black tends to = porno (look at KSZ) or Warez. And that's probably not what you want ppl to think when they visit :P.

The problem is, some things mutate when you swap other things because of how the classes are laid out...there were some spots I tried to fix up that made other bits all weird >_>.

I tried a lighter background last night and found it too high-contrast, though I could go with more grey. I think less saturation ina few spots would help it as a whole.
