Because the buns go bad WAY faster than the hot dogs, so you don't want them just sitting around.
sammich - May 15, 2006 04:05 PM (GMT)
I like the "oh yes they do.." response. :3 That was pretty amusing! I laughed.

What episode is that from?
It seems that his Geno Saurer's leg has the same problem as my Geno Saurer's arm... or, it would if he and his Geno Saurer weren't cartoons.
Tilly - June 2, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)
Someone else who identifies with the Doc, I see?
He's awesome. I just wish I could remember what ep that IS from...
Steve - June 2, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
It's from the beach ep, episode 22, "The Dragon Under the Sea". Everyone else goes to have fun on the beach, but the Doc can't swim so he stays in the hovercargo and builds Zoids. xp
ShadowDragon062 - June 2, 2006 08:33 PM (GMT)
Ah fiddlesticks.. Steve beat me to it. Yep, that's the episode, cuz he's scared of water and doesn't go. As he is about to snap on the last leg of his Genosaurer... it breaks, and he starts moping around...
then..
Harry calls...
OMG! *IM's hatch/Steve with a new idea*
Hee hee, evil me...
and Hatch, interesting way of making a comic with screens from different eps. Weird, but amazing.

BIG IMAGES QUOTED MAKE TILLY SAD ;_; |
Have you ever thought of writing/drawing or using models/screenshots one of those weird story things, but about the Berserk Fury and Gairyuki? The reason I ask is because, from what I understand, the actual"Zoids: Fuzors" storyline wasn't really clear on whether they're actualy the same Zoid. A kind of semi-demented relationship between two dinosaurs that may or may not be the same dinosaur would be very weird. Also, if I'm not mistaken they both have armour that can be removed (Don't the Gairyuki's BLOX form all of its armour?).
Tilly - June 3, 2006 12:56 AM (GMT)
Gairyuuki can indeed get nekkid...
I'm too lazy to take the armor off mine, so have this.

Geno Saurer - June 3, 2006 10:43 AM (GMT)
I found out that most of the Dark Spiner's armour can be removed, although he still has armour most of his torso and lower arms, meaning that it looks like he simultaneously has only 'a shir/ cape thingt' and 'gloves'. Is he constantly suck in both the North Pole and the tropics at once? Nobody can be certain, kind of like nobody can be certain of why the people who made the Dark Spiner put the on/off switch in a suggestive place.
Tilly - June 3, 2006 11:53 AM (GMT)
Lots of Zoids have...interesting on/off switch positioning. But since Zoids don't HAVE those bits (they dividebud), I dunno if they count as actually dodgy. I think it's more that they're trying to make the switches less visible, which in turn makes them harder to find to STOP the Zoid when it's escaping across the floor, and while you're catching it, the Zeros are trying to kill each other...
The worst is Geno Breaker, though, with the switch under the backpack. Genos are all pinchy when you try to pick them up, as I found out the hard way trying to hold Hologeno still for a photo. Oh, for the separate glowy eyes of the big old Zoids...
König Wolf can take off a lot of its armor too, but it's not meant to. And then there's Bio Megaraptor, which likes to shed its armor all on its lonesome...the only explanation can be that it wants to be a nudist.
Geno Saurer - June 3, 2006 01:28 PM (GMT)
Yes, the Geno Breaker switch is very inconveniently placed (but not quite as weird as the Killer Dome and its I-have-a-motor-but-there's-no-switch-for-it design). But, after seeing your review of the Geno Breaker, I have to ask... is your Geno Breaker the American release? I have the Japanese version and its motor doesn't make clicking sounds, although it does 'dance' instead of walking.
Tilly - June 3, 2006 01:46 PM (GMT)
That review's older than the American release, which is kind of a weird thought O_o. Breaker motors seem to vary quite a bit, and other than the clicking mine gets along fine.
If by gets along fine you mean dances in a circle, anyway...
Steve - June 3, 2006 02:44 PM (GMT)
My Geno Breaker can't walk, at least not with its backpack on. It struggles to lift one foot over the other and makes clicking noises. When I take off the backpack, it dances in place but it doesn'twalk much.
Geno Saurer - June 3, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
It just struggles to move? I guess that makes the (apparently) regular, dancing Geno Breakers seem better.
My Geno Saurer makes clicking noises, but its very inconsistant. Also, sometimes it can walk across a carpet and sometimes it can't. It doesn't really make sense. Also, I think I've taken the thing apart and put it back together twice in the last two days. But at least the cockpit is at least inserted correctly now.
Tilly - June 3, 2006 10:05 PM (GMT)
My Geno Saurer never clicks...he walkdances along happily.
My BF and Gairyuuki walk fine, other than occasionally falling on their rears. Gairyuuki's foot stabilizers are a bit off, but I dunno what's up with the BF doing it.
Deadborder, on the other hand, is perfectly stable and has a nice smooth walk. Take that, fancy new dinos!
Steve - June 3, 2006 10:23 PM (GMT)
Well, mine is a NAR Geno, wheras Tilly's is a Japanese one. I hear the plastic quality on the first run of NAR Breakers is pretty bad... and I can attest to that. Damn thing snaps a limb if you look at it funny. >_> It's not just a "Geno Breaker" in name only, it seems.
My new Berserk Fury walks great and has never fallen on its arse, but my old one did. Its eggbeaters also fit on much tighter; my old one needed tape to hold the eggbeaters on. xp
PlushRayseTiger - June 3, 2006 10:29 PM (GMT)
To get my NAR Genobraker to *walk*, I had to trim the stabilizers and put foam on the underside. Why must I get the dud Zoids? First Rhuematoid Geno, then glued Battle Cougar, THEN Deadborder missing a tube (I replaced it with a spare Heligunner one, though)! ._. With all the whining about the Genesis release, you would think it was the one with the most problems.
Tilly - June 3, 2006 11:49 PM (GMT)
Missing a tube O_o? That's a weird one. Then again, so is two left Murasame eyes...
I don't think it's Genesis so much as anything new. The boxes themselves have been weird lately too, with really dumb mistakes. Hayate's box still makes me headdesk, and the mistake in the leaflet-y stats for Brave Jaguar cracks me up:

I think lots of NAR Breakers have Issues...bad batch of plastic, at the least.
Geno Saurer - June 4, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
So, the plastic for the American releases is heavier, but breaks more easily?
Tilly - June 5, 2006 01:22 AM (GMT)
Plastic seems to run in batches. I've gotten bum plastic on Japanese Zoids too.
None of my old Zoids have had bad plastic, though I don't have as many...
HaTcH - June 5, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
Heat is a big factor in how good the plastic turns out. If its too hot, it may make the pastic brittle, too cool and you get spaghetti. Ehh, none of my zoids are anomalous.
