B) Yes, I did make this one. His name is Tux. He is my second "3-D" plush (first was an Axolotl). He is fully articulated with wires everywhere a real pterosaur could move. In case you haven't noticed, I am a ULTRA pterosaur fan. They were really cool looking and were awesome fliers. They flew even better than birds! Contrary to popular belief (or mine until I read about 'em) most of them had teeth! Anyone care to guess his species? (hint: it's not a pterodactl or pteranodon). I can't make plush Zoids like this because there is WAY too much detail to cover and it would end up looking pretty bad.

Hrmmmm... Quetzalcoatlas? It's obviously not a Pteranodon, since they have longer crests...

Nope, but it's an azhdarchoid like Quetzalcoatlus (although earlier).

Cuuute! =] nice work.

So how long does it take you to hammer one of them out?

It took me five straight days of non-stop sewing (about two weeks if I had taken breaks). Hmm... wonder what I should make next, Mosasaur or Diictodon... So much cute, so little time (well, not really). :D

Better fliers than birds? In proportion to their body, weight, ect, most scientists beleive they were superb gliders, not fliers. Not able to perform acrobatics like a hawk or falcon, however, very agile, graceful creatures, more like the loarger birds, with long wing spans, and longer bodies.

I fail to see anything every published stating they flight was far superior to birds, considering their lack in ability to manuver as well as many MANY falcons, ahwks, eagles, ect.

Hold on a bit, one of my sources is down. Anyhoo,Rly? The gliding thing is outdated. Also, not all pteros were big, some had wingspans of only two feet. I've also watched the few dedicated programs on 'em and they seem to agree that they were skilled arial dragons. Brain comparisons to that of a bird show that the two were very similar, except one thing, the flocculus of a Pterodactyloid was much larger than that of the already large one of a bird. The only reason they died was because of the fact that they became too specialized and when drastic changes occured, they couldn't adapt. How sad.
